Walking distance to the cave temple

Located in a Dschungel like area. The house is surrounded by a nice garden with monkeys jumping around. You can walk in about 15 minutes to the cave temple. 5 minutes by Tuk Tuk to the bus station. The host is very polite and friendly. Amazing food for breakfast and dinner. Big room with a/c and a fan.

The remote of the a/c didn’t work, so it wasn’t possible to change the temperature setting. Also the a/c and fan were very noisy. There was no mosquito net.

Friendly and well-run

Location - in a green area, plenty of monkeys nearby, including in the garden of the property. Somehow they are well-behaved and do not raid the breakfast table :) Walking distance to Dambulla Cave Temple (a nice walk). You can also climb part way up the rock from the other side right from the property's doorstep. Friendly host and his brother. They have their own tuk tuks, so they can drive you around, including a "tuk tuk safari" to Sigiriya and Pidurangala (very recommended). They also arranged an elephant safari to Hurulu Eco Park for us, with pick up and drop from the hotel. Excellent breakfast - Sri Lankan dishes (a welcome break from the egg, toast and jam routine of other places), generous servings.

Not so great location for the town center - walkable but better to take a tuk-tuk, especially after dark. Loud AC. Damp air in the room at the ground floor.

Excellent hotel for visting the cavetempel, beautifull garden to relax

Excellent location and breakfast. You can easily walk to the cavetemple and the city center from the hotel. The owners were super fiendly and helfull. We stayed 2 nights and had one afternoon sitting on the terras enjoying the lovely garden.

The shower did not always have warm water.

Bardzo udany pobyt, serdecznie polecam

Obiekt girilena resort jest cudowny! Wynajmowaliśmy wille oraz pokój deluxe, oba miejsca były super. Właściciel jest bardzo gościnny, zorganizował nam wspaniałe wycieczki do sigiriya oraz polonnaruwa. Pomógł wypożyczyć rowery, pokazał okolice, odpowiadał na wszystkie pytania i opowiadał nam historię Sri Lanki. Obiekt położony jest w świetnej lokalizacji, blisko malowniczego jeziora i złotej świątyni. W ogrodzie codziennie oglądaliśmy małpy, wiewiórki, motyle i ptaki. Bardzo polecamy to miejsce :)

W willi było odrobinę za ciemno.

Goede prijs kwaliteit en gastvrije mensen !

In een rustige omgeving met plekjes in de tuin om te te relaxen. Het centrum is niet iets te ver om te lopen. Heerlijk ontbijt met fruit en ei. Vlakbij de grottempel. Lieve mensen, erg gastvrij !

In een woord: Genieten

De ligging is bijzonder. Bij het op- en ondergaan van de zon hoor je het gezang van de monniken van de Gouden Tempel en zie je de apen gaan van en naar de rots waarin de grottempels zijn aangebracht. De warme rotswand is hun slaapplaats. En dan niet te vergeten de allervriendelijkste en uiterst behulpzame eigenaar Dilshan en zijn staf, die het op terras in de mooie tuin heerlijke ontbijten en diners voorschotelen.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great place. Great people.

Highly recommend this place. So peaceful. We loved it here so much. Dilshan and the crew here took excellent care of us. The people here are so friendly and do everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Anything they can do to help they will do. Very good breakfasts. Room was very nice beautiful mountain right beside hotel to climb and watch incredible sunset and sunrise. They arrange very nice Tuk Tuk safari for you if you want to go to sigiriya. Excellent value.

Ruhige Unterkunft in Stadtnähe

Sehr ruhige Unterkunft mit freundlichem und bemühtem Gastgeber.

Im Bad kam aus dem Wasserhahn kaum Wasser. Der Geruch nach Feuchtigkeit und Duftspendern hängt etwas in der Kleidung.

The property is located in a beautiful area surrounded by monkeys in the morning. The staff was amazing and even drove us to town if we wanted to have dinner. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious!

Best Resort in Sri Lanka

This guesthouse is located 20 mins from the center of Dambulla but you will feel like you got into the the deep jungle surrounded with the mother nature itself. The first place in Srí Lanka so far i really felt like an appreciated guest. The owner of the place acted really like our personal guide through our staying and all of that in free of charge, he explained many things including the basic history of Sigiriya and even brought us to a place where we could see a wild elephand next to the road. They even picked us up and drop us off with tuktuk when we went out for dinner. Its already long but just one more thing to mention: I headed to the shop ( located 10 mins ago) for water when they just came after me and give me few bottles from their store to spare me the walking. Conclusion: RECOMMENDED Thank you Girilena!!!

Ich würde es nicht noch einmal buchen

Tempel ist fußläufig erreichbar Nettes Baumhaus, allerdings mit Kind zu klein und Treppe zu steil

Im Haus waren die oberen Zimmer okay, unteres Zimmer sehr feucht und extrem modriger Geruch Bettzeug war klamm, Sachen sind nicht getrocknet, eine Waschtasche und Kinderschuhe haben sogar begonnen zu schimmeln Mitarbeiter sehr langsam (3-fache Nachfragen notwendig) und Wünsche zum Frühstück, leichte und frische Sachen zu servieren, waren nicht möglich -> dabei war Unterkunft nicht ausgebucht

Me gustó mucho el personal y el entorno del hostel. Estás en medio de la naturaleza y por la mañana podrás ver monos alrededor. La habitación era cómoda y tenía detalles que mejoraban el servicio, secador, cargador europeo, agua caliente. Ha sido un buen sitio a escoger, volveríamos.

La habitación olía un poco a humedad, aún así entendemos que es normal al ser un país tan húmedo. Lo recomendaríamos igualmente.

Great

The hotel is very clean, walk distance to the temple, stuff are very nice people. But the hotel is a little bit difficult to find at night since there is not any light or sign.

Superb

Dilshan, the hotel manager, is a very nice and patience guy. He drove us to the many attractions around and gave us a lot of tips and interesting information for our stay in Dambulla. He made every little wish we had, came true. The villa is a very cozy place, where the monkeys play in the morning and afternoon on the terrace. And the fried rice at his little restaurant is very good.

Cannot imagine anything.

The host is very helpful. The resort is very nice. Dambulla Cave temple is very near to the resort. Breakfrist is nice.:The host help us about our tour, about arrange taxi and good resturent.

Feels like home

Nice place with a very warm and familiar vibe. It felt like staying in a local home. The room was quiet, AC worked well and the place is beautiful, surrounded by greenery and two steps away from the Dambulla temples. Furthermore, Dilshan and the team always made their best to ensure we were having a good experience. In a nutshell, hospitality at its best! Plus the value for money is wonderful. I must also mention that they prepared a nice local dinner upon our last minute request (and late in the night), for a moderate price and despite not having items included in their menu. I will definitely stay again there if I come to the area.

Exceptional

We stayed in this place for one night but would love to stay longer. The place is wonderfull and peacefull. The host was nice and helpfull. You can sit on your balcony or garden and watch the monkeys playing in the trees.

It was fantastic! Great accommodation & breakfast. Dilshan cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. Location is perfect, in the middle of the jungle and very close to the temple! Highly recommended.

I really love this place, paradise on earth in the middle of the nature, everything was amazing.

The breakfast, the super friendly and helpful staff and I highly recommend this place to stay and the location is good behind the town center.

The accomadation is very nice, clean. It is situated in peacefull garden with many animals. Near by is, about ten minutes i Dambulla Temple. Dambulla rock is very nice place to watch sunset. The owner is very nice and ochotný. He have tuk tuk and pick up you from bus station. He help to organize your trip to Sigirya, national park Minneria, etc..The dinner and breakfast were very delicious.

Nice quiet stay with super friendly owner

The location was nice even though there are no restaurants or shops near it. But it is nice and quiet and you can climb the Dambulla Rock or visit the Cave Temples. Owner is really friendly and helpful and assisted with everything we needed!
