Would book again

The apartment was really spacious with enough room for any kind of sports equipment you might bring along. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need for basic cooking (even though the might provide a better selection of spices). The have a great variety of outdoor lounges to enjoy the sun, read and sunbath. I didn’t test the jacuzzi, but it looked great. Staff was really nice and friendly Would recommend and book again

This is just a minor thing to mention: It’s a little dark and cold, but a heater was provided and it worked well. I would really recommend this place.

Superb

Very comfortable apartment with a view on the mountains. It is 10 minutes drive to the ferry towards Geiranger fjord. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils. The rooms are cleaned during the day. There is a jacuzzi outside that you can use.

Comfortable, convenient stay in a beautiful location

Lovely, self-contained rooms, great location. Dinner in the Viking restaurant was very nice in terms of ambiance, information and quality.

Breakfast is rather pricey for what´s on offer, but there is the option to self-cater

Do yourself a favour and stay here!!!

Super comfortable and clean apartment located in a peaceful location close to Stordal. Having a washing machine was so convenient, as we had been travelling for a week, and had another week remaining of our trip. The owners, Christine and Ole made my husband's birthday something really special by arranging dinner in the Viking House that evening. The food and service in the hotel was outstanding, as was the breakfasts. We ended up staying an extra night in the hotel due to the storm that had caused extensive disruptions to the Norwegian infrastructure (road closures due to flooding and landslides close to our next destination), but fortunately not in the area close to the hotel. I can't recommend either the hotel or the apartments highly enough. Everything from the owner's passion for providing their guests with an unforgettable experience to the location really is outstanding!

The only thing that might have improved the apartment would be a small microwave, but we managed okay with the existing kitchen equipment.

Serene Mountain Retreat

The apartment was spacious and clean. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to join the Viking dinner that evening. I'm glad we said yes and, if you have the chance, I recommend you try it as well. We were served three delicious courses prepared by the talented Chef Ole, who also gave us short informational talks about Viking history and how it related to the food we were eating.

Highly recommended!

Very clean, spacious and cozy, and windows in the bedroom with thick light blocker curtains ❤️ It has almost everything we needed in the kitchen. We had dinner once and it was sumptous! Breakfast was also very good. Location is great, accessible and not too far to all our destination... Trollstigen, Troll Wall, Geiranger, Alensund. Also great that they do not have normal TV channels but a chromecast instead! more useful for foreign guests like us. 😉

a microwave would be a useful addition to the kitchen.

Amazing place and dining experience

Remote quiet location with stunning views over the mountains, the apartments are huge and very cosy. We did enjoy the viking dinner which is a unique experience and the food is delicious! Definitely recommend.

Charm of the old world.

Excellent location with a fantastic view over the fjord. Very helpful and charming staff in the morning. There’s a jacuzzi outside - it’s quite something to bath in it when the outside temperatures are low.

The apartment was too dark. evening staff was rude and unsmiling.

Stunning hidden gem with gorgeous rooms and surroundings, and exceptional hosts.

Absolutely stunning hidden gem with huge, comfy rooms, and stunning views. The hosts were wonderful and could not have done more to make us feel welcome. They really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and to make sure we always had everything we needed. The facilities are excellent (don't forget to visit the beautiful jacuzzi with views out over the mountain!) and the food on offer is delicious. We are already planning our next visit and this time we will be bringing all of our friends.

The location is middle of nowhere which is a great escape. Great view outside. Very clean. It was better than the pictures provided

Hospitality from the host couple is on point! They try their best to make your request happen. The host is reachable easily through the phone throughout the whole day.

Would like to be informed of the prices and the availability of the additional services (meals, wine, jacuzzi) in advance before deciding to go with it.

Excellent apartment in beautiful scenery

The apartment was a duplex wood chalet. Well furnished and equipped. Staff are really friendly and helpful and all spoke English (my Norwegian is non existent).

The apartment was a little cold but after a few hours of leaving the one electric convector heater on it was ok
