Super séjour bordelais

La localisation du bien qui est très bien équipé avec tout le nécessaire (serviettes, savon, couverts, WiFi, ...). Hôte très réactif qui a répondu à l'ensemble de nos questions.

A comfortable place close to sights and tram

Great location close to old town and tram stop. Comfortable bed, hot shower etc

Initial access. Our host sent us details of the lock-box only on the day we arrived. Because we have only very basic mobile communications (phone, internet) we didn't have the code when we arrived, and it took a lot of time and effort to eventually get that (with help from the tourist information office). If we'd received the code the day before (we always had hotel wifi each night) it would have been much simpler. We did try ringing the host's phone but just got a recorded message in French. Electric power. Late in the afternoon of our arrival day, while using the kettle to make a cup of tea, all power suddenly failed. We eventually managed to contact the host, but it took several hours (i.e. well into dark) before the problem was identified and rectified. The host claimed that the problem was a faulty power socket in the kitchen, so when we returned after dinner we plugged the kettle into a different socket, which immediately blew the circuit and blacked us out. When the host's husband returned that night he was surprised but agreed that the kettle itself was probably faulty. He left us with a replacement kettle which worked fine. We understand that sometimes things go wrong, but for non-French speakers with only basic mobile comms, sorting out such problems was the last thing we wanted after a long, exhausting day. Our host tried hard to be helpful in all this, but she was remote from the apartment and had other demands on her time. But while we did appreciate her efforts, it would have been much simpler for us if we'd chosen a 'normal' hotel with reception staff available.

It was a bad experience

nice room in central area of the city

The lock at the door had problem and it was really difficult to insert the key. Also at the main entrance of the building the entire week there were two bins , the one super full of trush that smelled like hell…

Clean room, good facilities, location is exceptional. Car parking on the street was useful.

Comfortable accommodation and well situated. Good size and cleanliness.

The accommodation was comfortable and well situated and the collection of keys worked okay.

The stairs were steep on arrival to get to room with heavy bags no lift available.

Spacious, convenient

The room was huge and comfortable. It is right around the corner from Hotel de Ville tram stop/tower, but the room was very quiet. Kitchen, shower, toilet etc were all working well, and everything was fully supplied (plates and cups, dishwashing supplies, tea towels, soaps, toilet papers, hair dryer etc) and clean.

good location host was awful

location

host was not nice to deal with, noise from neighboring accommodation unit, bed on raise platform (trip hazard), dark with poor lighting options, low pressure shower. sheets and towels were washed with cheap highly scented products. I got in touch with the host in the morning to see if we could have new sheets and towels, 3 messages were sent in total, an additional one letting them know that their hairdryer stopped working which we were told would be replaced straight away (it never was during our 3 day stay). They did not offer to remedy the sheets beside new ones which would have the same scent so this wouldn't solve the problem. So, we took everything to the laundromat across the road and told we would be refunded what we spent to wash off the heavy scent. When I sent the cost over, I also mentioned how many hours it took for us to do this which obviously impacted our plans and our holiday. I got a terribly rude response and told that I had annoyed them and taken their time by messaging them that we had a problem so they should charge us for their time (sorry but as a host this is your job to remedy such issues or questions). We let it slide and figured we would wear the cost, no big deal and not worth arguing over. However, the day after we left booking.com got in touch to say we had been accused of damaging the property. This was clearly false (we had photos to prove this given the hosts messages about the sheets we were wary, so we took some when we checked out and showed booking.com that we left the apartment the way we found it. Dishonest host would not ever recommend to anyone to stay here.

Very comfortable place with everything you could need (hair dryer, fridge kettle) in a really cool spot in Bordeaux close to everything. Highly recommend!

Was all fantastic if I'm honest, the check in is at 3 which can be an issue if getting into Bordeaux super early but besides that super good!

great venue and a good location for seeing Bordeaux I would definitely recommend it to others

it was clean and spacious. it had all of the amenities and the communication from the owner was excellent. I would happily stay here again

.mMy only criticism and it is a small one is the the bed is raised on a plinth and the small step can cause you to fall over.

Overall lovely stay and very attentive host who gave clear instructions for accessing the property and made it available

Superb location. Very well equipped. Comfy bed.

Water wasn’t hot a few mornings long enough for everyone to shower.

Can’t recommend enough, the location, cleanliness, facilities and communication from the host were amazing. We were only there for one night, but wished we had stayed longer.

Perfect aparment for a Bordeaux visit.

Location was perfect - next to an old town, you can walk by foot. Plenty of restaurants around. Close to tram stop with direct connection to city center and Museum of Wine. Good contact with the host, in English (that's not always the case) - we even got a small guide on city tour. Apartment - small and cozy (a bit dark), but we got everything we needed. Great deal for such price

The forks in a kitchen were a bit broken and plates seemed to be dirty.

Great location, comfy apartment, perfect for exploring the city

Location was perfect - so easy to walk everywhere in the old town and surrounding areas. Nice quiet building and a comfy bed. Well equipped little kitchen as well.

Good

Location was great and the flat is nicely decorated. It was easy to check in and communicating with the host was easy and straight-forward. The kitchen had all the utensils needed and the shower was very good.

Bit short on the toilet paper and other basics like oil for cooking. It was a shame not to have a sofa or washing machine, as we were there for 5 days but that's our fault for not reading the info properly. I think the info could make it clearer, however, that the flat looks out onto an internal patio and not a street/lane, I found the photos a bit misleading there only. In any case it meant a quiet night's sleep which we appreciated as my partner came down with a cold the last day we were there. Overall I'd recommend the flat for a couple of nights though.

Amazing stay

Very good

Issues with wifi 1 st day. Fixed after that. Ran out of tissues and toilet paper. Bought some and left extra in the room.

Perfect spot for exploring Bordeaux

Lovely apartment close to the centre of Bordeaux. Comfortable bed, hot shower, furnished to a very good standard

There was nothing to dislike, but the bed is on a raised plinth which looks cool, but remember this when you get up in the night. Also the toilet is off the kitchen with a windowed door, so you need.to be comfortable with each other!
