Superb
Breakfast, breakfast room, staff's great kindness and helpfulness!
The hotel's street becomes almost impassable when it rains.

Loved having tea in the beautiful rose garden with peacocks and the sunny morning breakfast room. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming.
Location a little far from the center of Meknes, so hard getting a taxi out there, although not too far from the grands taxis to Azrou and Ifrane. Also no decent restaurants nearby. When we first checked in, we were given a room without attached bath and were told that a room with attached bath would cost extra. But when we complained they gave us an upgrade without charge. So we were quite happy. It would have been nicer had there been other guests to talk to. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

Superb
Gorgeous garden and beautiful breakfast room. Very friendly and helpful hosts, and off-street parking available for my motorbike. Could have stayed all morning listening to the birds and the wind in the palm trees
Its a bit far to get to the Medina on foot, but it's pretty easy to flag down a cab

A little far but pretty
Nice riad with beautiful sunset views from the balcony, spacious room and helpful staff.
It's quite far from everything, apart from that it was ok.

Good
Good breakfast, nice garden with some funnily crazy peacocks that dared to fly straight to the top of the three-story building nearby, large room, ample balcony (with some caveats, see below), secure parking. The location was good for us, as we only planned to have a rest stop here on our way to Chefchaouen, but other might find it less convenient, since it is a bit far (some 5 km) from the main attractions of the city.
The riad has an enormous potential, but it currently stands significantly below the level it could reach; it looks rather neglected (I am sure that the last two years had a lot to do with this, as many people in the industry felt discouraged to invest effort and money into something that could be shut down indefinitely without warning, but on the other hand no recovery is possible imho if things are just left to spiral down on their own) and in need of some repairs, wall plastering, varnishing and - thinking about the beautiful ceilings in the main lounge - well, dusting. The full-size iron grill that stands in front of the balcony door was closed when we arrived and, judging by how stuck the locks were, I think they haven't been open for quite some time. Which explains the condition of the balcony itself: dusty, with a rusty hacksaw long ago forgotten on a wall and lots of pigeon dung on one side. Ample as it is, and overlooking the green backyard, it would be a perfect place to enjoy the evening. Except that you'd have to enjoy it standing, as there is not even a single chair in all this vastness. A wasted opportunity. No shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom, which was a first for our entire trip in Morocco, desert tent included. When I asked the host about it, her initial response was that there are two soap bars in the bathroom (yes, we had seen them, but washing your hair with regular soap is not the ideal solution); eventually she kindly - although somewhat reluctantly - provided a shampoo (most likely her own). On top of it all, we didn't feel the warmth of the hospitality we encountered anywhere else in the country. Yes, this is a subjective opinion, but I stand by it; the smile of the young lady we met in the morning was the only one that felt welcoming. All in all, with regret I must say that this was by far the worst accommodation out of the 6 we stayed in during our trip.
