central location

the property had a stale smell. the air conditioning wasn’t good. the windows had to be open and then it was noisy. the hot water was only sufficient for two showers at a time. front door opened directly onto steps outside . decor very poor

Location was fantastic you could not ask for better. Spacious well furnished apartment. A big thank you for the ice ready made in the refrigerator/icebox.

I could only get one of the air conditioners to work. The lock on the entry door is very hard to open ... an elderly or person without strong grip would have difficulty.

BAIT AND SWITCH! THIS WAS NOT THE PROPERTY IN THE PHOTOS! NO HOT WATER! Different address from our original email. We were sent on a wild goose chase around town, up & down the steps to go get the keys from some restaurant. The restaurant people didn’t know where the apartment was. We wasted time going from apartment to apartment looking for the place. Owners claimed “because of Covid” they could not meet us at the apartment, despite all over Croatia life was like pre-Covid times. No instructions in the apartment about how to get hot water.

the internet often didn’t work, the owner/staff was not in contact at the time they mentioned (so we had to wait a lot to solve the problem we had with our stay). the owner is strange and crazy. it ruined the impression 1) after check out we get to know that we should pay city tax in cash, not via booking. We told that we will put the money before 3 pm (cause they are not in the apartment all the time). we did it at 12 and after that they said they have video recording we entered the apartment and they will go with this to the police 🤦🏼‍♀️ 2) i posted the review of our stay for the second night (average) right after checkout and she became angry, told that she will go to booking to delete our review and make problems for us (so we will pay extra money/get negative review)and told that if we didn’t take our baggage in 10 min, the staff will throw it away

The location in old town was perfect for exploring Dubrovnik! Lots of facilities such as restaurants in close proximity. However, keep in mind there are lots of stairs in old town, so if you stay in old town you may have to carry your luggage up or down some stairs (this is not just the case for this appartment). The apartment is very spacious and clean. Good beds. We very much appreciated the accomodation having different type of pillows in the closet so you could choose a different type of pillow if you liked. The key we could pick up at restaurant and they pointed out the entrance to the apartment. So very easy to find. Some noises from restaurants in the street at night, however we had no problem with it and slept through it. We actually liked the lively location and some minor noises come with that. Also, cookies and cherry liquor as welcome on the table were a very nice touch. We loved the little book the hosts made with all their tips for exploring Dubrovnik. Since, we were travelling through Croatia we had a car with us. The accomodation put us in contact wit Boris. Who made available private parking (10 min driving from the apartment) at a very good rate. Included in this rate were the transfers from and to our car to and from old city. Very easy, comfortable and much cheaper than public parking near old town.

Do have to admit that the couch in living room was not very comfortable to sit on. For us no problem as we spend most time in the city itself.

The location was great and the room and decor was very nice. Host was quick to respond to any queries we had. Nice cookies left on arrival which was a nice touch. Apartment was very clean.

There was confusion as we were initially sent to wrong address by host. Found host quite abrupt when contacted her. Rather than take time to find out we were at the wrong place, we were told we could simply cancel reservation, which was unreasonable given she would know we were tourists with nowhere else to go. No cleaner came into clean bins or give new towels. Sign said if you want new towels to leave on floor. We did that but no one came in to check. When I text host to ask, I was advised that towels and bin can be changed upon request. However it doesn’t say in instructions you must request this.

The location of the property was perfect for exploring the old town as it is right in the heart of it. The hosts were so kind and helpful and made everything so easy as they were so clear about everything. They left loads of information in the property about Dubrovnik including activities, restaurants and swimming spots which was so helpful. Overall we had an amazing stay and will definitely be back!

Location.... excellent, size of the property is OK. Was clean and bed comfortable.

It was raining on arrival and not yet summer warm. Very little heating in the apartment, had to ask for a radiator for both heat in the bedroom and a means to dry clothes and towels. Neither the TV nor the wi-fi were working properly. I had to disconnect and sort them out. The furniture was all old and tired with nowhere to put your clothes apart from 6 hangars. The unit below the sink was supposed to be a clothes drawer but was mouldy. Only one glass for drinking apart from small wine glasses. Overall the apartment was tired, old fashioned and in need of better furniture.

The location was perfect. Very close to the entry to the old city so we didn't have to walk too long with luggage.

On the downside, there is no elevator and the stairs are quite tight to get a larger person up carrying a luggage. Another minus was the fact that the towels were not changed (we were there for 4 days) and the amenities lasted for about 3 days. Also, we had requested a late checkout from booking date (and by late check out i mean at 1 PM) and while we were granted the late checkout we were made to feel like we were done a huge favor (also no booking appeared to be waiting to be checked in). During our stay we saw one person once and then again on the day of our departure which i assume was the person in charge of cleaning. I do appreciate my privacy, but it would have been nice to have at least one face to face conversation to be able to ask for help, directions, recommendations...i mean that is the purpose of travelling right?

Great location right in the heart of the old town with bars and restaurants literally on your doorstep. Lovely old fashioned building

It was above a bar that was very noisy. Not too bad in the evening but the daily 5 am bottle collection and incredibly noisy cleaning of the bar was not good at all. Wasn’t helped by the windows in the apartment not closing properly so we didn’t get much sleep. Also a bit unclear as to which apartment you are booking? We were under the impression we had selected on Booking.com an attic apartment and was allocated a different one on arrival which is not what we wanted. Disappointing.
