Bring in a manager to handle the restaurant and get rid of the lazy staff who don’t want to be there

The sea view was as shown in the pictures. Breakfast was good.

The room was dated and you have to pay for the bottle of water that is left in the room. We arrived late with no water so had to pay for it.

Fantastic peaceful and relaxing couples getaway

Genuinely this hotel is fantastic. The staff were a major highlight, we had a lady and a man who’s names we sadly didn’t get on reception and they were LOVELY! So nice and smiley. The rooms look amazing on the pictures and they’re just as nice in person. The breakfast is great, I can’t count how many crepes I probably ate haha. The location might not be for everyone, its about an hour from more central Fuerteventura (€80 for us in a taxi one way), but we loved it cause it was quiet, hardly any kids, but equally some great restaurants and bars on the doorstep, just an ideal couples getaway location. Be aware though: there is a beach on the doorstep where 60% of occupants are nude, didn’t bother us but we did get a bit of a shock hahaha!

we spent a very enjoyable week in this lovely hotel in Costa Calma- would definitely recommend it

the rooms were spacious and full of light, with a very private patio with a shower, sun loungers and outdoor table and chairs huge bathroom and television room too! and the hotel is a very human size in a small town

The staff are very attentive and friendly. Very quiet. The food was good

The place is showing its age (1988?). Cracked sink, damaged mirror. Obsolete music system. Bedside telephone that doesn't work. The fly-screen door hung the wrong way (so it didn't completely close) Poor wifi in the suites Insects (cockroaches & mosquitoes)

We very much enjoyed staying at the hotel, and would recommend it to friends.

The spaciousness of the suite and courtyard. friendly staff.

The set times for dinner ; we would have preferred to eat between the two set times. Also the wine was rather expensive. It would have been a nice touch to have had occasional entertainment at meal times.

Good but slipping

The grounds are beautiful, the food is very good and the restaurant staff are brilliant.

It's starting to look a bit worn now, chipped doors etc.. The bar has been moved to the restaurant meant that no-one congregated in the upstairs lounge. Payment was demanded at check in. This implied to me that things were not up to scratch and they wanted to make sure people paid before they could complain.

The place is picturesque, calm and quiet, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom is exceptional. The staff was all friendly and kind. and we loved the spot cats here and there.

I highly recommend this place!

Very friendly & helpful staff. Great large suites, with own patio, private solarium, jacuzzi, wardrobe. I recommend halfboard - wonderful, diversified food, buffet and a la carte on alternate days. Very good place to go with a dog. Also, I was there in July and there were very few people at the swimming pools, so it was nice, quiet and relaxing.

Could be a bit closer to the beach or a shop but still both within a walking distance.

Risco del Gato is the best place to stay with your Gato.

Staff are so friendly, room is cozy, location top, delicious Breakfast and dinner.. We were very happy to found this hotel after long time we have been searching a hotel to spend our vacation with our cat. It was difficult to find pet friendly Hotel, which also accept cat. Most of the Hotels around Canaria Islands only recognize dogs as pet. Definitely will come back here again.

Delightful small hotel ideal for relaxing

Unique hotel like tele tubbie pods. big room, big bathroom and a small lounge with coffee tea making facilities. staff excellent, food great breakfast, dinner spanish style but i found it good for hotel food. the location quiet, and guests were mainly english and german and very nice. We would go again. Also there is the best small Spa shop 10 mins away.

As nearly all pools in Spain the outside pools are not heated. i appreciate it might cost a lot to put the necessary solar heating in but if they did it would be perfect. Slopes for disabled a bit steep.

Mostly very pleasant, but some negatives.

The general ambiance is very pleasant, the elaborate gardens and the quirky design of the little apartments, each with its own inner courtyard. The staff are very welcoming, pleasant and friendly. With a car, you can visit some wonderful nearby beaches, especially the unspoilt beaches around the El Salon area.

Dinner seems quite overpriced for what you get, but then this is true of most of restaurants in Costa Calma. Here however, guests must partake of the full menu at 30 euro per person. Once night of this was enough for us.. Breakfast, on the other hand is good value, offering a decent selection of hot and cold food, good quality cheeses, fish and jamon, fresh fruit etc, but for some reason , terrible coffee, delivered through some kind of automatic nescafe machine and tasting like the worst instant coffee you could find. Our apartment had a badly leaking air conditioner unit. We mentioned this at reception on day one, but despite a promise to fix it, nothing happened over our 5 days stay. Eventually we got tired of mopping up and just stopped using it. Information on pet charges is not clearly advertised, with ´´charges may apply´´ sounding quite vague, and an e mail before our visit was not answered, but with a maltese dog and a bird in a cage (and no cleaning or other services requested by us), we still managed to clock up an additional 134 euro -the equivalent of four expensive meals in the best local restaurants.

Lovely quirky hotel. We normally don’t all inclusive but the food was a very good standard. Great breakfast and evening meals.
