It is a great base for me to work in the area for the week. Good transport links and the local traffic-free routes were pleasant for evening exercise.
A warm welcome was provided by the owner Ian, as well as a Bara Brith to enjoy throughout the week.

Host was lovely and suggested a couple of really lovely walks. He left us a beautiful hand baked cake and also gave us some freshly laid eggs....really kind. The views were great. Bed and settee very comfortable and good range of channels on tv. Parking right in front of property and i would imagine excellent facilies if you're in a wheelchair.
I just found it a little cold but im sure the host would happily sort this out if you had the same problem. You must have a car....if not the taxi is 15 pounds from Bangor....I told the host he could charge alot more....but hope he doesnt as we'd like to go back

A good, quiet base for touring Snowdonia & Anglesey providing you have transport - parking space right on doorstep. Clean, comfortable, well equipped with basic equipment needed for self catering (but bring your own washing up liquid, condiments etc if you need them). Good variety of leaflets for local attractions and list of restaurants. Congenial, helpful host - his Bara Brith cake was a delicious welcome to Wales. We went to see him sing with the Penhryn Male Voice Choir - wonderful!
There were no facilities in the village itself so it may have been a bit isolated for some, but there are plenty of supermarkets, take-aways etc within a short drive.

Loved the home-baked bara brith on arrival - still warm! Lovely touch from Ian the host. I enjoyed a slice with butter every day of my stay – it's great hiking food. Well-stocked kitchen with all the items I needed to make my own food, given that there are no shops or pubs in Glasinfryn. Loved the proximity to the Lon Las Ogwen trail (5 mins) and the Blas Lon Las farm cafe and shop (20 min walk) and Bangor pier (90 min walk). I hiked a lot in the Ogwen Valley and found it easy to get buses there once I'd walked to the next village (30 mins).
Obviously, given that I didn't have a car, it would have been better if Glasinfryn had a more frequent bus service (and/or a shop/cafe/pub) but I found it easy to walk to Tregarth and get buses to Bethesda (and the Ogwen Valley) from there. It's the perfect location for someone who likes quiet and likes walking everywhere (and was blessed with very good weather).

Quiet; on an edge of a small country village location. Host was very helpful and welcoming.
The bed was comfortable but would benefit from a thick mattress cover to add extra comfort.

Beautiful part of Wales, stunning scenery.
Location was very quiet and peaceful. Greeted and warmly welcomed with a delicious homemade Bara Brith by the owner.
Great value for money.
Have booked accommodation next door for next holiday as this one is booked up.
Looking forward to returning 😀
Would be even better if the bedroom had a way of closing it off to the main living area - maybe a curtain?
Would be nice to have access to a hoover, otherwise no complaints.

Would have been nice if there was a pub in the village, walking distance for a evening meal, but it was close enough,to town just a short drive.
We thought everything was just fine for our break.

host was very friendly and knew the area well, host made some Bara Brith which was absolutely gorgeous and really appreciated. Cottage was clean and tidy. The cottage was convenient for the end of the Welsh 3000.
it would be nice to be able to independently control of the heating in the cottage.. saying this there was an electric heater available.

The host was really great - flexible with check in/check out times and generally really friendly! The Bara Brith was gorgeous! We loved our stay in the place. Kitchen has everything you need, it's warm, clean, shower works well. The village itself has several walking routes within walking distance. Felt we got good value for money.
Nothing - it was perfect, thank you!

Ian met us as i called him 10mins before arriving. Ian lives upstairs and any problems he was around to help. There is few hens around he property and did give us a chuckle. Ian was so friendly & very chatty. Ian also baked us cake for arriving which was fab! Fresh towels/bedding supplied. Such a relaxed weekend.
