It's a very nice cafe with good vegan food and friendly staff. I honestly would go here just for the food, but stay somewhere else. The room has a cute little balcony and the rooftop is really nice.
The rooms are very old and kinda dirty. At daytime the room is very hot as the aircon is turned off. BUT when the aircon is on, from 8pm to 8am, it's freezing cold. Everyone slept fully dressed and even used the towels as blankets to keep warm The last night I asked for a second blanket, and it helped a little bit.
I guess it all would be toleratable if this vas an extremely cheap hostel, but I would say the prices are the same as for nicer and more modern hostels in Siem Reap.

I love the owner’s passion for veganism. I stayed in a private room, which was basic but good. The bathroom was great. I arrived late, after 11 pm in the rain, and they got my checked in no problem.

I was here for a month and had a lovely time. Staff is AMAZING. I tried almost every item on the menu down at the Café and it was seriously some of the most delicious Vegan food and drinks I’ve ever had in my life. They have a rooftop where you can lounge and chill. Would definitely recommend for female solo travelers, as I felt super safe there and well taken care of. They have free water refills!

I lost my Face Wash. Locker Key should be given on arrival

Very cute spot to stay, rooms are small and cozy. The food was delicious especially the Pho. It has a great rooftop area to chill and eat as-well as an air conditioned restaurant.
The rooms were a little dusty under the bed frames and there were a few insects that would come into the room.

The hostel itself looks cute and instagramable, however unfortunately I booked a private room and the experience was not great at all. The people working there and the manager were lovely though!
1. The private room has no window and the private bathroom is basically a room separated by half a wall so the bathroom area is uncovered on the top and the room smells horribly.
3. The bathroom wasn’t clean, the bin wasn’t and the shelves were rusty.
4. There were 2 spiders in the room (but I guess for Asia that’s normal so this hasn’t affected my review).
5. The WiFi is terrible. I booked a private room because I teach online and I had to cancel my classes because of the speed. The manager was kind enough to help me by rebooting but that didn’t do anything, the download speed kept falling to 2/3 mbps. So I really feel like I wasted the 500bhat. Once I checked in and checked the WiFi I asked to cancel but was told I cannot get a refund.
6. Then I asked whether I could use the fridge and I couldn’t because my wrap had meet in it (it was in foil and in a bag sealed) - anyway I get it I guess so this hasn’t affected my review - I am just telling you in case you aren’t vegan.
7. Plus small thing but it topped up my frustration, when you leave the luggage by their desk watch out of the nails sticking out of the wood cause I nearly got scratched and my suitcase got ripped.
I honestly had such a bad experience and that’s a shame.

The rooms& bedsheets smelled very weird, which made me feel uncomfortable.

Wifi is okay for remote work/digital nomads.
Download mbps: 17.66
Upload mbps: 19.59
(On my MacBook Pro)
Remote work speed: okay
Digital meeting friendly: no, internet is too slow
Comfortable seating: yes!
Plugs: yes
Not the fastest in terms of cafe wifi around Phnom Penh to work remotely in.
I tried having a digital meeting here, and the internet was slow, and it did not go well. Basic internet/searching is fine, but for a digital nomad like me with meetings and stuff to attend to, it was too laggy and slow. Basic streaming of video is also fine.
Other than that,
The good:
🟣 The food is fantastic! All vegan and super delicious.
🟣 The staff is nice and friendly as well.
🟣 comfy beds
🟣 cute aesthetic
🟣 excellent location, right near the Russian market, genocide museum, etc. lots of stuff within walking distance
🟣 reasonably priced food (some might say expensive, but compared to other countries; this vegan food is still on the cheaper side)
🟣 The double rooms are reasonably priced,
🟣 the CUUUTEST dogs here! I like that it’s pet friendly!
🟣 good aircon in the bedrooms
I don’t think I’ll stay again because:
🟠 I don’t think there was aircon in the cafe, or if there was, I missed it. It was too hot to sit for a long time and work cause of it.
🟠 when I arrived, my first meal I ordered a smoothie, but they forgot. I had to ask and got it at the end when it felt rushed since they closed and I couldn’t finish it.
🟠 the plumbing system was not good, I had to get my toilet fixed a few times, and that’s something nobody wants to deal with on their vacation. The water in the sinks also make weird sounds. And so does the water system as a whole, when I’m trying to sleep, it makes loud sounds. Like it’s 1:30am and it started making super loud weird, discomforting/ disgusting gurgling like sudden sounds that startled me and made my heart beat faster since it’s out of nowhere in the silence.
Also, at the sink, they’re super small and clogged and when you wash your hands, the water fills up so quickly, so you have to wash your hands in like 5 seconds or else the sink water will fill up to touch your hands. Also, the sink next to you makes weird sounds when you turn on the other tap.
🟠 when I first checked in, there was no hand soap in my private bathroom, and when I asked, they said they’ll get me some the next day, but never did.
🟠 the bathroom in the private room has no roof, so you’re sharing a room with your toilet next to you and just a wall in between, which made it even harder with all the toilet problems…. And the bathroom has a strange smell which affects the rest of the room.
🟠 the wifi is slow even in the rooms, so doing anything like wanting to relax and talk to friends or watch a movie is hard, you have to go downstairs. Wifi is really important to me as a digital nomad and high speed wifi at that. It takes time to load a lot of the social apps as well.
🟠 the double room has no windows

It had aircon and was cheap
I arrived late as the cafe was closing up. If i had known they had a policy you cant bring non vegan take away food to the hostel I would not have booked, as it was impossible to find any delivery. This should be listed in their policies on this site. The private room had very thin walls may as well have been in the dorm

great quiet Location in TTP, minute away from wet market and cool cafés. I stayed in the private room at the rooftop level:
- comfy mattress (a first in Cambodia!)
- nicely decorated room
- small window with natural light
- no noise 👍🏼
the bathroom in that room was a bit tiny but it’s okay for 1 person and it was clean.
The “perfume” or scent in the main reception/restaurant area is not my thing…

They have a really beautiful rooftop terrace with a lot of plants and nice decorations. The food is amazing and worth the price, the curry portions were big, and their coffee was super. Also a lot of cheap street food available just a minute walk away, near the Russian market.
In the booking the room was told to have an own balcony, but there wasn't any. So we got the double room without window. The room was quite dirty, it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned after the previous customer.

Difficult to go in and out from premises than very old building not fully taken care off

Friendly staff, good restaurant but overpriced hostel. This is a 8 $ hostel that charges double
The food was really good. Thank you
They did their best to make the rooms look better, but they are small , humid and have zero comfort. The shared bathroom is ok but nothing more and it was clean.

Really great food (especially curries) and nice staff and atmosphere
The dorm beds can be really hot depending on which one you get (if it's near the air con or fan it fine, if it isn't it's really hot and airless) , please add more fans to this room!!

Rocky check in - many staff standing around while I was waiting for my room. When I got into the room, the trash was full & it was generally not clean.

Really cool hostel, wish I could have stayed longer. Only stayed a night as had flight early in morning. Had an amazing smoothie there! Friendly and helpful staff. Very cool area, good vegan options around as well as their cafe.
Very cool building and space, and awesome roof terrace with plants, peaceful spot which I think is open all night.
Bathroom facilities separate from the bedroom which is good :)
Would stay here again and would highly recommend!!!
Beds on the upper bit are a bit tricky to get to! Other than that, fabulous :)

Friendly staff and good location.
After traveling for about 24hrs I’ve arrived at about 12pm and considering that they didn’t have any tourists for the last 20 months I was told that they will check me in at 3pm but I can use the dirty rooftop lounge. At 2.50pm one of the staff members went ‘to clean’ the room, literally just put some stinky sheets on a disgusting mattress and that was it, not even a towel. While booking on the Booking.com app it said that check in time is 2.30pm and breakfast was included- both of them nowhere to be seen. I wasn’t expecting too much for the money but to be clean, not unhygienic.

Awesome food there. Run by a really wonderful couple. Simple and wonderful place to stay. 100 yards from Russian Market.
