The property was close to the beach. Small but enough. Close to many restaurants. Nice pool. We had trouble with the TVs but the property manager helped us, but not until Monday. The bathroom smelled when the shower water ran. Wondering if there was hard water or mold/mildew. It smelled like sulphur . Nice place.

Lovely and cozy place to stay. The property was very clean. Updating is needed but certainly not a deal breaker. Great place to relax, and rest after enjoying the events of the vacation.

Wonderful location, interior needs deep cleaning
The location of the property is ideal, however, the interior of the cottage is not well maintained. The listing is not accurate in the amount of seating in the living room area. Photos need to be updated to accurately reflect the current furniture. There are visible stains on the living room couch. Bedroom furniture has extensive water damage in one of the rooms. But the most concerning thing about this property is the amount of mold. The smell is nauseating and even made us sick by the end of our stay. The only way to alleviate the smell was to open the bathroom window as most of the smell was coming from there. The visible mold was found in the handle of the shower which needs to be replaced but the smell was coming from behind the toilet, and through the bathroom pipes. I would not recommend this property until management has rectified the mold concern.

The stay was good because it was a 4-day getaway. Hopefully the owners will see this and maybe hire me to make their cottages absolutely beautiful. The cottages are becoming rundown and need some TLC!! The outdoor furniture is moldy, the outside of the cottages need repair. Someone with insight needs to update the cottages, the bathroom was not user friendly. The cottages COULD be so cute - if mine I would be on top of everything. Close to beach, close to shops and restaurants. Just not up to today standards. The kitchen cabinets are falling apart, bathrooms need updating, outdoor furniture replaces and after that close attention paid to upkeep. I would LOVE to own an adorable place. Hire me, I will update, clean up, and make your place absolutely the best. Give me funds and a salary and get you back on track and keep after your housekeepers and you will have a true oasis in Mad Beach.

Items like dirt devil hardly worked so vacuuming up dirt was difficult. Only the ceiling fan and on part of the lamp worked , the cable in both rooms not going out and one of the two washing did

The place was in a nice location, and clean. As a pet friendly place it would have been nice to know that the beaches are NOT pet friendly. other than that the management were very accommodating. The pool was closed for repair longer than the management had hoped, as a result we decided to cut our stay short, We were promptly credited for the unused portion of our stay.

Our stay was pleasant and easy. The property management staff are super responsive. It’s a cute place that’s in a FABULOUS location - walking distance to John’s Pass (2-3 blocks) and a 3 min walk to the beach. The pool on the property is a little small but was perfect for my kids. It’s a really cute property; we stayed in the 2 bedroom Dolphin cottage. I’d recommend and will be coming back!

Our stay was pleasant and easy. The property management staff are super responsive. It’s a cute place that’s in a FABULOUS location - walking distance to John’s Pass (2-3 blocks) and a 3 min walk to the beach. The pool on the property is a little small but was perfect for my kids. It’s a really cute property; we stayed in the 2 bedroom Dolphin cottage. I’d recommend and will be coming back!

I would go back. It’s not like a motel, smaller of course. I don’t like to be around a lot of people so it was nice.

Place was amazing.
Place was very nice pool was amazing conveniently located to St John's, beach. All in all would stay here again. Only complaint I have is that the house behind the cottages left there outdoor patio lights on every night and even with shades shut still lights up our room. But I know that's not your fault..

Would def stay again!! Our Rental was very clean and exactly as advertised!! We arrived on a Sunday and the fridge was out, Maintenance got on it right away and had it fixed within a couple hours (even on a Sunday)!! Staff was very nice and accommodating!!

We stayed at the Cottages at Madeira Beach for 4 days/nights. Upon arrival, the cottage was extremely warm inside. We lowered the thermostat and after 2 hours, the temperature continued to rise. WE called the management office and they sent a serviceman over. He was new to the property and it took several hours to fix the ac. When he left (without telling us he was leaving), he assured us it was in working condition. 5 hours later, at 8:00 pm, I could no longer bare the heat. The temperature never went down even 1 degree. I had to leave and return home with my dog, who was also panting. My husband stayed the night to secure all our belongings. In the morning he called to say the ac was now working. When I returned we went to the pool. It was green and filthy. Rose, an employee of the property came to blow the leaves off the pavement. She said someone was coming the next day to clean the pool. It did get cleaned the next morning, but the outer rim of the inside of the pool still had a black ring around it. We also could not access the TV in the bedroom. We called again. This time John came out and put batteries in the remote. That evening the TV said "No Signal." At this point we were done dealing with all the issues, so we never enjoyed that TV. WE also asked John to return with a new ac filter, because the AC serviceman left the black filthy one inside. John did come back later with a new filter. He was very polite and professional. My husband called the office and asked for some sort of compensation for our problems. We were issued a $100 refund. If we did not have to contend with so many problems, we would have enjoyed our stay. We loved the unit we were in and the location. However, with such a short stay, we would've appreciated a unit with a properly working ac, a clean pool, and a TV that was functional. I do not think we will be returning again.
