Overall we had a nice stay. Upon arriving at the unit, we were a little apprehensive because the outside was a bit unkept and dated. After getting through the electric bear deterrent (scary!), however, the inside was very welcoming. It appears to have been recently remodeled and has modern amenities and fixtures. The unit was clean with the exception of the floor rugs which could have been easily tossed in the washer. The location was great... we could bike almost anywhere we wanted and the bakery within walking distance was incredible! Though the nightly rental rate was fair, it almost felt like bait and switch because after adding all the other fees (owner, cleaning, taxes, etc.), it got quite expensive. That alone would probably keep me from coming back.

Most disappointing VRBO thus far! Both urine and blood stains on blankets in bedrooms. Bedroom carpets made our socks dirty! Upstairs balcony rotten with rails that felt as if they could give easily. Dirty rolled up carpet and used/filthy AC filter stacked near front door. Back yard a hazard with downed pine limbs, unspooled hoses, tarps...a remodel of upstairs was great...I highly recommend staying somewhere else.
I contacted the owning company, sent photos of urine/blood/all else. Received 10+ "I'm so sorry" responses. I asked for compensation. They refunded OUR CLEANING DEPOSIT of $255 only...the very minimum they should have done.
I wish I could include photos here as it would provide proof of my concerns with this property.

Lovely town home in an excellent location for adventures! We greatly enjoyed our stay!

The microwave was broken, broken chair, garbage disposal not working, they must have just sprayed pesticides because flys and ants were dying all week. The small toaster oven a fire hazard has a setting to leave on and this oven gets very hot. Hot enough to melt it. The front door does have a lock that works. I sent pictures to the phone provided and no one contacted us. Do you really care about the feed back. We rented two house and the turn key house didn’t have any problems.

We stayed at Haven on Cathedral in June for 2 nights. Nice and clean place close to many Tahoe attractions and the Lake Tahoe bike trail. The only thing that didn't really work for us was the BBQ... the igniter didn't work and likely due to the age there were a ton of flair-ups. We would return as long as the BBQ is replaced.

The condition of the home is great. Clean, neat and comfy. Restricting the shoe inside of home was awesome and we felt like at home.

Do not rent this property! Great location and could be a good rental but not unit is not maintained. Upstairs shower leaked into downstairs bedroom flooding bed. Queen bed frame broken. Bunk bed unstable and railings not attached (on floor). Many other maintenance issues less significant items. Poorly stocked kitchen - 2 wine glasses, 2 coffee cups, no trash bags, no wraps/bags, ancient toaster over. It’s a shame as location is great and the issues should not take that much effort/money to make right but based on previous similar reviews unlikely property will improve. Local property management to their credit fixed the bed and said they would credit part of the rental payment for the totality of issues.

Not worth the money . Pictures do not accurately depict condition of home. Not clean… floors, carpets, vents. Outside needs much work. Good location. Lots of stairs. Beds in poor condition. Linens need updating . In short, not a good value for money.

We stayed for 3 nights in this place. While the master bedroom has a good mattress (soft enough for most sleepers), the queen mattress in the 2nd bedroom is like a rock. So firm you will have a very hard time falling asleep. If you finally sleep, you will wake up with backpain the next day. The BBQ on the balcony is very dirty, half broken and was not usable. We were looking forward to grill some steaks but decided against it, we did not want to invest hours of cleaning it. The backyard is not maintained at all and therefore was not usable. Dirty and no chairs or tables etc.
Overall the house was clean, however we washed all kitchenware before using it, you never know. The bathrooms were clean and there were enough towels and soap etc. We did not find any detergent for the washer, which would have been good to use, we were traveling with an infant.
For the price we paid for 3 nights we expected top notch, which was unfortunately not the case. Sleep is very important during vacation and we did not get much quality sleep because of the very bad/old mattress in one of the bedrooms, that is why I give 3 stars overall.

First of all, I do not remember reading anything about the number of stairs involved in this rental. We had to carry all of our luggage, etc up two flights outside which was a pain with the snow. I also got a huge splinter in my hand as well as a few smaller ones trying to hold unto the wooden railing on the way up as it was in disarray. I learned to always have thick gloves on when I went up and down outside stairs after that but it was painful and ruined my first day of vacation.
Once we got inside we discovered that the bedrooms were all downstairs so we now had to carry all our luggage down another long flight of stairs. Would definitely had picked another property if we had known this!
The first day we had strange bugs appearing around the house. They looked half dead but appeared from nowhere and we would have tp dispose of them - kind of disgusting. They looked like large termites but we were told they were carpenter ants? No idea as I had never seen them before but they were not pleasant. We continued to see them during stay but frequency lessened.
Bedspreads did not look clean so my daughter put hers in washer to clean, However it turns out after washing that dryer was not functioning so she had no comforter on her bed. Thank goodness we had not thrown in a load of our owm laundry as we would have spent our vacation time searching for a dryer and carrying wet laundry up and down many flights of stairs!! Also made us wonder if anything in rental had been properly cleaned since there was no functioning dryer.
The second night we were awakened by what sounded like one of the smoke alarms tweeting due to low battery. After much time of searching for where the sound was coming from, it was a carbon monoxide monitor that was just lying in the laundry room. We took battery out and got a little sleep.
We enjoyed our time in Lake Tahoe but, unfortunately I must report, I would not stay here again. Not a good experience at all for us especially for the amount spent. I think website should definitely share with people the amount of stairs involved so they can make an informed decision!

Our family of five loved our time here. The kids enjoyed the unique spaces - the loft and reading nook were amazing. The kitchen had every amenity we could have needed. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends. It was a fantastic trip.

I will start out by saying, we would definitely stay in this cabin townhouse rental again. We loved the location in adjacent to access to Tahoe City and a blend of being in the forest. We loved the floor plan with living quarters up above and the sleeping quarters down below. The living quarters are open concept and work very nicely. You can cook, visit with people at the dining table or in the family room section. Slant the TV towards the kitchen and all can benefit. Wireless Wi-Fi worked very well. The interior of this place has been modernized with much effort and is pleasing. A few little idiosyncrasies I would have designed different, but it isn't mine to design. The AC/Heater works flawlessly and is so easily managed with a NEST thermostat. Nice to be comfortable. The BBQ has a direct line of propane or gas, so no need to worry about propane running out. On to a few negatives. The exterior of the cabin is in need of repair, the owner might want to make a visit and examine. The rain gutters are coming apart before the snow season arrives. The front deck railing came apart when we leaned up against it. Not very solid. The rear deck where the BBQ sits was not cleaned and there were old broken wooden chairs piled up and the covers to the table and BBQ were not utilized. Inside the use of IKEA fixtures backfired on us and a bed collapsed with a rather light weight person using it. VACASA to the rescue! Doug from VACASA came our first day and repaired the deck railing and the bed to our satisfaction. Really great service. In summary, the outside surprised us a bit, yet inside was very representative of the listing. Overall nice place. We will be back.

Don't judge a book by its cover!
This condo is the middle unit of a three-unit building, which doesn't look like much from the outside. You do have to go up stairs to enter, but once inside, it is beautiful! We had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Everything was clean, the kitchen was a good size and the beds were comfortable. We liked being close enough to walk to Tahoe City, but just far enough away to avoid the weekend congestion and the neighborhood was quiet.
All in all, we were very happy and would recommend!

Nice Place
The place was perfect in every way except I felt that it could have been a little cleaner. I found four hairs in the shower and 3 additional on the floor of the bathroom. The walls have a few "urine" drops that could easily be washed. Same with the kitchen, a few cabinets could easily be cleaned from splattered sauces etc. . . Otherwise a very nice stay, I really enjoyed the couple nooks and crannies, also very convenient to Tahoe City.

Nicely remodeled, good location
The home was nicely remodeled; however, there was no "bible" as with all vacation rentals with all of the instructions for the property. There were no garbage bags at the property, something that you don't typically have to supply yourself. I emailed the management company and they never responded. It was so hot on the main level of the house we couldn't get it to cool down, even with the windows open and fan on high. It was very uncomfortable.

Perfect property
My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed at this property during a ski trip to Squaw at the beginning of March. It was so cute, perfectly renovated, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well appointed and even included some reusable grocery bags in the cabinets. The bedrooms were nice with comfy beds and we enjoyed having a washer and dryer to do a bit of laundry before we continued on with our trip. We also really appreciated the storage/shelving area near the front door for us to put all of our ski gear at the end of the day. Additionally, there was another bedroom with bunk beds and a little loft area above the kitchen that would be super fun for kids.
The house was an easy drive to Squaw and very close to town. Definitely a great location. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would stay here again in a heart beat!

A Wonderful Haven
Just stayed here for a ski trip to the Lake Tahoe area. This is a great place in a great, easy convenient location. The place is very clean and well appointed. Bedrooms are together with baths in the lower level. The upper level with another full bath, kitchen, dining room, and living room is open and inviting. The gas fireplace provides a warm glow to your stay. Definitely would return for a stay.
