This Sparrow Pond cottage is pet friendly and has a king and 2 queen beds and is a relaxing choice for families that don't want to have adults sleep in twin beds. This cottage is one of the only Sparrow Pond cottages with 3 full bathrooms. Two are en suite and the 3rd off the living room. There is a gas grill under the house along with a picnic table. We also love napping or reading a book in the glass sunroom. The cottage has free wifi. Conveniently located in West Beach Village, this cottage is only a 5-minute walk to Kiawah's beautiful beach and community pool. Also a few minutes’ walk to the gorgeous new Cougar Point Golf club house where you can golf, eat breakfast, lunch, have dinner, or get a drink at the sports pub. It is open to the public and fully accessible whether you are golfing or not. Community Pool! This cottage allows you access to our community pool - just a short walk away. Pools are limited on Kiawah Island and are often restricted to guests staying through Kiawah Resort. Sparrow Pond Cottages are one of the few places on Kiawah that you can rent directly from the owner with access to a pool. Our community pool is perfect for a cool dip after playing at the beach. Freshfields Village is just an 8 minute drive or 25 minute bike ride offering many great shopping and eating venues along with great free outdoor concerts and other festivities for all. Bohicket marina, just a few yards beyond Freshfields, offers even more great eating establishments and great views. There are so many things to do on Kiawah once you’ve had your time on the beach. Enjoy miles of bike paths that transverse the entire island through coastal forests and marshes but be sure to stop at one of the two Kiawah River observation towers which you can find on any Kiawah map. We highly recommend a trip to the world famous Ocean Course either for golfing or a drink at sunset on the pub-side porch. The view of the ocean and dunes is the best on the East Coast! Sparrow Pond area is nicely located, just inside the first gate. This allows one to get to Freshfields and the Kiawah restaurants relatively easily. The beach is just a short walk and the property well maintained.

We loved it. Convenient to the pool and beach. Just one note in contract or provided documents about house - we would have appreciated the head's up about no toilet paper. After a long day of driving that was a surprise at check-in. Everything else was as described. Kitchen was stocked with enough utensils, cookware, and dishes for our family of five. We had a great time - thanks for allowing our doggies!

House was as listed. Close to pool and beach. Only complaint is one bedroom did not have a ceiling fan and would get warm at night.

From start to finish Richard was one of the best VRBO hosts I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He is immediately responsive and is there for you if you have any questions or needs. The cottage itself was exactly as advertised. The decorating added to the feel of a beach holiday and there is lots of room to spread out. The beds were very comfortable and having 3 full baths was a big plus for 3 friends travelling together. The walk to both the pool and the beach was very doable and the beautiful surroundings along the path and road add to the experience. We stayed for a full month in April/May and would definitely consider this lovely property again.

The cottage was very clean and not a far drive from front gate. Easy to walk to pond and then to pool and beach so location was great for us as we enjoyed the treehouse feel. This home does have an older kitchen and bathrooms but worked well for our family of four and a large dog.

We spent the month of February here, the longest length of time for vacation ever. We were pleased that the cottage was very clean, and that the kitchen was so well-supplied with pots, pans, and utensils, as we cooked in frequently. We also loved that the cottage was within a few blocks of the beach, where we walked every morning.
Richard was very available ahead of time for our specific questions.
Kiawah is "our place", as we have been coming here since the 1980's, so I am sure we will return!

Wonderful week at Kiawah
Our family of 6 adults, a 3 yo and a 10 mo really enjoyed our stay last week. The house was just what we expected, however the bike trails to the beach are narrow and rough and the pool was crowded.

Excellent location in Kiawah
We loved the location of this property (easy walk to beach and pool) and quick drive to Fresh Fields. The layout of the home was perfect for our family of 5. The home is in need of some updates (especially the kitchen).

Harris Teeter supermarket. We did day trips to Charleston and nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

What a beautiful place to relax. The outdoor deck gives the feeling of being in a tree house. The neighbors are plenty quiet. Walking distance...biking is better! to pool and beaches. The trails surrounding are spectacular!

We hadn't been on Kiawah Island for 12 years and decided to return, this time with 2 small dogs. Thankfully this property was available. We enjoyed an extended stay at this property and are considering another long term stay here.

Great vacation vibe
My family of 5 adults and 1 dog enjoyed the house. The feel of the neighborhood is that of treehouses. Quick bike or walk to beach. The house had all the key things we needed and the under house parking and bike area is quite nice.

We were fortunate to find this beach house last year--and wanted to return to the rest and relaxation of this clean and bright property--quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to a beautiful beach. We were happy to find the community pool open (with Covid restrictions). Good birding and biking here as well.

Great location
Beautiful location, nice home clean and comfortable. We had such a nice time being able to walk or bike to beach and pool. Three bathrooms was also a huge bonus!

Beaches are beautiful and clean, perfect beaches for riding bikes and playing beach games. Short drive or bike to village where there are shops, restaurants and grocery store. Great golf courses. The cottage had plenty of room inside and out. Accommodations were perfect. Thank you Richard!
