No oven. There were two toaster ovens that were very dirty. Took a long time to clean. Gas grill was not usable. There were five of us in the house, and we planned to grill every night. Had to buy a new gas grill. Gave the grill to a local friend when we left. Outside deck had table and four chairs. Two of the chairs were not usable. The seat fabric was rotted and torn. Master shower drain was slow. At the end of the shower I was standing in 2 inches of water. Only one of four bedrooms had black out curtains. Not good for sleeping in Alaska summer. No washer and dryer.

Beautiful property. Are doing some updates but still completely functional house. Doesn't have full oven set up but does have large toaster oven. Very clean, very spacious. We had traveling issues due to heavy snow at home before leaving and plans changed and host was very accommodating. Water does have a smell but noticed that is central to Fairbanks, not just this house. Would stay again!

Great location, near everything. So very nice to have private spaces for everyone! A brilliant view of the Northern Lights from the back deck! Just to let you all know- no oven.

The description online leads you to believe the house is outside the city. It is actually in not so nice of a neighborhood. The house was not clean. It looks like they are in the middle of some remodeling projects that are not complete. The water has a very bad smell. Drain in the upstairs bathroom is not draining properly. And southern beware— there is NO AC! Very hot inside and no ceiling fans to help circulate the air.
It was very overpriced for the property.

We stayed here in July and the lake was so nice to see from the home! As with any lake property, there’s a few details that were wanting but all in all it was a great comfortable stay! All beds were king sized and super comfy. Kitchen was well stocked.

Great place for the 4 of us. Each couple had a floor to themselves, plenty of room for privacy. Convenient quiet location. We seen a moose on the frozen lake our last day eating willows on the shoreline. House is as pictured.

The downstairs bathroom shower floor and the shower was in need of some attention. The water pressure was weak. The deck and the back yard needs some tiding up. The driveway was plowed nicely
Overall we had an excellent stay and the cabin is beautiful.

The property location was located closely to downtown. The neighborhood is quiet expect for a couple dogs that would greet me when I went for my morning walk.
We did not cook much in the kitchen, so I can not rate the oven or stove.
The house was comfortable and warm for us during our February stay.

When one pays top dollar for a very nice cabin, I expected the basics to be in order and everything functional. I called the host and reported that the exhaust fans in both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms did not work. This was critical since we had six adults and four children (10 and under,) using the facilities. It was even more critical in the downstairs bathroom since there was not a window to open to exhaust both foul air and the humidity after a shower. With no ventilation, the shower smelled of mildew. When I called the first time, it was Labor Day, a holiday for the host. He said he would call me the next day on Tues. No call. I called again on Weds and had to leave a message.
I also reported that there were at least six light bulbs burned out and asked if there were a stash of new lights bulbs anywhere in the cabin and said we would change out the bulbs for him. He mentioned he could drop off some bulbs. It never happened. And one bulb was the main light for the downstairs bathroom. On the same panel, the light switch, exhaust fan, the heater fan - were all dysfunctional. One had to walk into a dark bathroom and find the switch for the light over the sink. None of the children could reach the switch.
Another issue was an inadequate number of dishes and silverware. There were not enough plates for ten people. There was only one bowl for all of us to eat cereal for breakfast. There were not enough spoons and forks.
As others have mentioned the double oven was not operational. There are two countertop ovens (one a convention oven) in addition to the built in microwave. Others have also mentioned that the front burners on the stove top have to be lit with a match where the rear burners are automatically lit with a spark. So not fully functional and not as safe as it should be.
To the host’s credit, he sent two girls with a new set of silverware and a new set of dishes. Unfortunately he did not come himself so we could show him everything that needed attention. He did mention he relied on the house cleaners for feedback.
Since I had not heard from the host concerning the exhaust fans, I called again on Thursday. Only then did he give an update on the fans. Apparently, the specialized motor handles exhaust and heating and are not common and must be ordered. I did not get a sense that the motors were on order or would be ordered.
When we arrived, it is an understatement to say that everything was not functional. I submit that it is unlikely all these issues just appeared overnight.

Met our needs
The home was ready and waiting for us. Comfortably accommodated a party of 10 spanning four generations. The weather was perfect while we were there so we did not have to use heating or cooling. The location was quiet and the deck outback overlooking the lake was relaxing. We were close to everything but just far enough away from the mainstream.

The main living area and kitchen were large & roomy and easily accommodated our large family. We loved getting to experience a log cabin stay and the view from the large windows overlooking the water was perfect. There was lots of outdoor seating in several areas too. We enjoyed the paddle boards that were left out to use. The downstairs consisted of bedrooms that were adequate and could have had extra blankets & pillows available. But, we only slept there and we all had a bed. Overall most of our time there was spent in the communal areas in the main living room when we were not touring Fairbanks.

The home is just as pictured. Amenities not quite up to par, especially kitchen and master bath. Wall oven doesn't work. Cooktop doesn't light without a match. Sleeps 10 but only enough forks for 8. Water from tap has sulfurous smell and taste; did not have the bottled water but one case was brought after we asked. Shower enclosure in master bath is terrible - watter just drizzles from overhead - fancy functions all don't work.
Windows not all screened (especially kitchen). Host brought over screen for master bedroom when we asked. Kitchen/deck screen door track is broken, door gets stuck and falls off. We had to fix it with duct tape.
Home info book included prohibition against having or using recreational cannabis on property - and that was an unwelcome surprise.
Still a pretty nice location. Needs Work.

There were things that needed work. Two burners on the stove didn't work. Outside heat lamp had no propane, we were hoping to enjoy the beautiful view. Pool table needed to be leveled and cue stickes were horrible. Master bath had a faucet handle that fell off. Staircase ralling had a bar fall off on us with small children. Was not worth the price.
