#HabitueHomes - The Retro Classic & Dog Friendly!
About this house rental
Situated in Boise, this lovely house for R 4,151 per night is a great option for your next break. The Retro Classic at 1408 Grant Street is a fully furnished, pet friendly 3 bedroom, 1 ¾ bath, with a fully fenced back yard, a charming gray and white house in the 50s building style, and hiding a beautiful old tree in the back yard. It's location is really ideal for anyone wanting easy access to the heart of old Boise or the excitement of BSU. It's just a block from Broadway, and a couple of blocks from Boise Avenue, but fully removed from the bustle of those thoroughfares in a historic neighborhood. It is just a quick 2-minute walk from the flagship Albertsons, and super close to downtown. The 2 downstairs bedrooms each have a full bed, closet, and dresser, with easy access to the full bath in the hall. The upstairs master bedroom is roomy and has a queen bed, as well as a closet and dresser, and a small bathroom with toilet, pedestal sink, and stall shower. The main level includes 2 living areas, a full kitchen, a dining room with access to outdoor dining on the back patio, a laundry room with washer and dryer, and a Roku TV in the 2nd living area. The home includes a selection of games and toys, and pet accessories (pet dishes and a pet bed). The owners of The Retro Classic enjoyed their time in this home and are excited to see it filled once again with a family who loves Boise! 1-2 well behaved dogs are allowed, please ask if you have more than two. Our dog fee is $45 per dog for the entire stay. Cats are not allowed. House Rules: *Quiet Hours are between 9pm – 8am. *There cannot be more than 10 people in or on the property at one time and no more than 6 occupants overnight. *We offer late check out and early check in for a modest additional fee for our cleaners. An unplanned late check out really messes up our cleaner's schedule. If you do not arrange a late checkout in advance, there is a $55 fee. If you do not checkout by noon, you will be charged an additional night's stay. *This is a non-smoking house. A $500 smoke mitigation fee will apply if smoking of any variety is found. *Please remove shoes when entering the home to protect the flooring and reduce dirt intrusion. *1-2 well behaved dogs are allowed. There is a pet servicing fee of $45/pet. This is a one time charge that will be requested via the Airbnb resolution center after you have booked. Please remove any dog droppings and dog hair before checking out. If pet hair or waste causes additional cleaning expense the expense will be billed to you. If discovered any unauthorized pets will need to be immediately removed and a pet mitigation charge of $500 will apply. *Events (like a baby shower, reception, birthday party, etc) are not allowed. Unauthorized events will be subject to a minimum charge of $1500. Additional charges for damage may also apply. *Sometimes it's hard to know what sound level is too much so we use a noise monitoring device. It won't invade your privacy because it does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it only monitors the ambient noise level (measured in decibels). If it goes off, it gives us a chance to warn you that your sound level is such that it could upset our neighbors. *If a failure to follow the house rules impacts the next guest's stay and causes us to need to discount or refund that next guest, you agree to be responsible for the resulting cost.

We stayed her for parents weekend for BSU and you can’t beat the location. The kitchen doesn’t have lights, one small one above the sink and the beds are all full size so small for two adults in the bed. Overall it’s a great place because of the location.

Location!! This property is so close to the university and so many great things downtown it’s a perfect option. I appreciated all the touches that felt like home such as board games, couch blankets, and coffee. We had our son’s dog with us and having a dog bed and leash was fantastic. Some downsides were no door on the main bedroom. And the grass needing mowing. But that said, we’d stay again.

The house was great--hot tub was fun, the kitchen was large enough and overall it was just the right size for our group. It lists for 6+, but you wouldn't want much more than 5 or 6. We had 6 with a kiddo under 10, and brought an air mattress. The beds were my only complaint, not very large and not that comfortable. But the price of the place was fantastic, as was the location. The kitchen was stocked with appliances, the back yard is fenced in, and the hot tub was a great bonus. Overall, it was very worth the money and was cozy enough to feel like a proper vacation home.

Really nice property, older but we'll maintained. The location would be perfect for a BSU game weekend. Quick access to downtown and BSU. Only gripe was the hot tub was not clean enough to use. When you see a hot tub, you hope to use it. The hosts tried to get the hot tub guy over but he never showed. Oh well. We had a good time.

The location to the university was great. The house was perfect. We are trying to stay there again when we come out next but the dates are already taken.

This property was exactly what we were looking for on our recent trip to Boise to visit family. It was clean, charming, and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and nice historic house! Everything was clean and what we expected. We did max out the capacity of the house with 6 guests and was very comfortable. The only downfall, which is very minor, was that we had to do dishes after each meal to have enough silverware. It had a nice back yard that contained the kids, and the hot tub was a very nice addition and clean. If you are a reader, they have a lot of books on hand!

Great location!
This is an older, remodeled home. It was super comfortable
and about 2 miles from the conference center which was a nice walk every morning.
We are a group of healthcare professionals attending a healthcare conference so we prefer cooking in as to eating out a lot. The kitchen had everything we needed and was open to all living spaces which was great for discussing the day's events and lectures.
There is another conference in August of 2022 and are looking to stay in the same location if possible.
Highly recommended!

Great House. Close to BSU
We stayed for a quick weekend. House was very comfortable and is pretty updated except the kitchen but it fits the modern retro style of the house. The kitchen is stocked full of great utensils and gadgets to cook which I was so pleasantly surprised.
The location is perfect if you are visiting BSU and so close to grocery store and Starbucks!! Would stay here again without question.

The people we dealt with were very nice. The property itself was adequate. Upon arrival with our dog, we found dog waste in the yard from a previous guest, and the host was quick to come by and clean it up. Upon arrival I also noticed liquid stains on the bottom of the drapes. Six days after our stay we were told our dog had left urine stains in the house and we would be charged. We highly doubt this is from our dog. If you take a pet, be careful of being blamed for pet messes that are not from your pet.
