Nestled in St. Croix, this charming condo for R 4,200 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. "Serenity by the Sea" is a lovely 1,360 square foot condo in the popular, gated community of Pelican Cove. This 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath end unit, which can comfortably sleep 6 people, offers stunning views of the Caribbean from every room. You are, literally, just steps away from the sea and, as you listen to the sound of the waves and feel the warm breeze off the water from the unit's two balconies, you will be delighted that you are here. On the main floor, the kitchen and living room are open concept. The updated kitchen is fully-appointed with a double-door refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee bar. You can eat at the large kitchen counter, which has 4 stools, for a casual meal or dine at a table in the spacious living room. Through the living room sliding glass doors, you can relax on the balcony and enjoy the view of swaying palms and the beautiful Caribbean Sea. The main floor also provides an office with a full size murphy bed and a half bath. There are two ensuite bedrooms on the second floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed, ensuite bathroom, and a balcony to view the palm lined beach. The guest bedroom comes complete with a comfortable queen size bed and ensuite bathroom. The unit is equipped with linens, bath and beach towels, along with a washer and dryer. The unit features air-conditioning, wi-fi, and cable. Take a dip in the large swimming pool and enjoy the open-air hot tub. The grounds are always well maintained and you will enjoy the lush, tropical plants growing throughout the property. Since this unit is only 200 ft. from the white sand beach, it is stocked with a cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, and "noodles" for your use. If you just want to relax and not drive anywhere, The Palms resort is located right next door. It offers a great bar and restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, just steps away from the beach. They offer a delicious Sunday brunch, too. The Palms provides entertainment as well. There are endless options for recreation on St Croix. You can enjoy 3 national parks while you are here: Christiansted National Historic Site, where you can visit 7 historic buildings, and enjoy shopping and restaurants along the boardwalk; Buck Island Reef National Monument, where you can enjoy snorkeling, picnicking, and hiking; and Salt River National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve, where you can kayak and explore archeological sites. Christiansted is just a 10 minute drive from "Serenity by the Sea", and there are several restaurants and grocery stores nearby for your convenience. We stayed at this condo from Sept 29 – Oct 7 2023 for 8 days. This was our 7th annual vacation in STX and our 3rd time at Pelican Cove. This is our first time at this condo and is by far our favorite condo yet. The view is one of the best on the island. We love the pool and hot tub here. We will be back in 2024. Everything about this condo is great. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. We cooked on the grill on the patio every night.
Beaches - Rainbow - usually on of the calmest beaches and soft white sand. Sand Castle - usually calm water, some big rocks at the shore line, but easy to get past them. Lots of little fish near the shoreline for snorkeling for those who don't want to go out far. Cramer Park - this is the main locals beach and very busy on weekends, but during the week you have it all to yourselves. They were in the process of building pavilions and installing BBQ grills. We took our own disposable grill and cooked right at the beach. Chenay Bay - mostly calm water, can park your car right at the beach. This is a hidden treasure, you must get to it from a road off of east end road and drive down a dirt (and bumpy) road to get there, but it's worth the bumpy drive. Can also cook right at the beach there. Cane Bay - great for experience snorkelers but can be very choppy. Hiking from Point Udall down to Jack and Isaac’s beach is fun too if you’re up to the hike. Take lots of cold water, freeze some of the bottles ahead of time.

We’ve stayed many places on the beach/water and this was by far the most beautiful views we’ve ever experienced. The condo itself was very well decorated, well stocked and they provided so many nice extras (beach towels, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, etc.)

The views are beautiful. Listening to the ocean waves come onto the beach at night is so peaceful. The house had everything we needed for a nice stay. On site property management brought us fresh eggs. We had an issue with a leak in the condo next / under us and folks were there to fix/repair right away.

This spot made it feel like we had our own private island! The balconies on this property were phenomenal. I stepped out of the master and watched the sunrise over the ocean every morning, and we ate all our meals on the downstairs balcony overlooking the palm trees and water. It felt so secluded--exactly what I was hoping for! And this condo has the best location on the property! It was clean, the A/Cs were wonderful, kitchen was stocked which made it so easy to make food. It really was a dream location for us. We didn't use the beach there for swimming, but rented a jeep and explored everyday. The centralized location of the property made it easy to get anywhere on the island in about 30 minutes. I really hope we get to come back here again! It was just my husband and me, but there was plenty of space if we bring our kids or share with other couples.

We loved staying at this condo! The views from our balcony were amazing! We loved going to the pool so nearby and our friend enjoyed snorkeling in front of the condo at the beach :-) We tried several different beaches, several different restaurants on the boardwalk and a sunset cruise:)

We just returned from our May 2023 stay at Serenity on the Sea. What a wonderful condo; one of the best VRBOs that I have stayed in -- up to date and very clean. Of course, the balconies and views are fantastic, but we also enjoyed the amenities in the condo -- some of them were just little touches like all of the hooks, closet shelves, and hangers in the second bedroom. I also appreciated all of the supplies available, such as laundry. Also liked all of the kitchenware - utensils, cookware, storage containers, dish towels, etc. They provided everything, and it sure was refreshing. The pool was great also; we used it quite a bit. Air conditioning, great. We didn't use the beach (even to sit out), and although we did walk over to the beach at the Palms (done easily by cutting across grass to gate and walking the pavement over), we didn't use that beach either. Easy drive to Christiansted, and only 5 miles to our favorite beach, Mermaid at the Buccaneer (due to the loungers for rent and free shade), where we went 3 different days. My 80-year-old mother really enjoyed the hand-painted murals and the decor throughout. Just very well done; exceeded expectations.

My husband and I loved this oceanfront unit. We have stayed in many vrbo rentals and this one is by far one of our favorites. Great location for quiet and relaxing vacation. We love to be able to see the ocean and fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the waves lapping on shore. So relaxing to wake up to the sunrise and sit on either of the 2 balconies overlooking the water while drinking our morning coffee or tea. The unit was fantastic with many amenities - we appreciated having washer/dryer in unit. bedrooms are upstairs and there are ceiling fans and A/C units if needed. Most of the time you won't need it as there is a wonderful breeze. Condos are thru gated entrance so very safe. Well maintained grounds and pool. Unit very clean and well stocked. Communication with host excellent. Had some games and puzzles we enjoyed using while there. We really enjoyed some snorkeling right at the beach in front out by the reef. Close to many places to eat and short drive into Christiansted. One night we ate right next door at the Palms and watched the Fire dance show. Very good! Being centrally located, was easy drive to either end of the island. Recommend some snorkeling on west end as well as east end hiking at Point Udall. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for our trip to St. Croix. Centrally located, stunning view, friendly neighbors and staff, and the condo has everything you’ll need. Having a washer/dryer was super handy. Air conditioning was definitely a plus. And a beautiful pool area with a hot tub is within steps of the building. While we were there, we heard a few horror stories from other visitors we met across the island who showed up to unclean and unsafe properties. They were scrambling to move in the middle of their vacation, leaving us to feel even more blessed to stay here.
The property is exactly as promised. Just as beautiful and bright, and although the view looks too much like a postcard to be true, it’s exactly what you’ll get. Everything was well kept and clean. we cooked a few meals while we were there and had everything we needed. It was extremely helpful to have beach towels and a cooler available.
Check in was so simple. The property manager reached out prior to our trip to see if we had any questions; unfortunately, we were busy and I forgot to respond. When we showed up to the property I was afraid I wouldn’t have everything I needed to get in, but the directions and instructions they provide are spot on and we were able to get into the condo without any hiccups. Check out was just as simple.
Everyone we met was extremely friendly and helpful. It really couldn’t have went more perfectly, and if we return to the island, we will definitely stay here again!
One thing to note, they do have a small cart outside of the building at the bottom of the stairs. If you are bringing a lot of smaller bags from the parking lot, the cart could be useful. There are multiple buildings in this complex, and this building is closest to the beach. So you may have to walk another 5 to 10 yards, but the view is worth it! (And don’t let “multiple buildings” scare you away. It is a very intimate location, genuinely perfect.)

Updated condo on the ocean. The view was amazing, perfect for morning coffee and evening happy hours. Kitchen had everything we needed for a week stay. Plenty of towels, and washer and dryer if needed. Not a great beach for swimming, we were told snorkeling is good. We enjoyed the pool daily, that was clean and relaxing. Location, while not close to anything specific, you are only 15-20 minutes from pretty much everything on the island, very centrally located.

Great week in an awesome setting
This was our first trip to the USVI and we were not disappointed! The condo fit my wife and I perfectly, and could have easily accommodated a couple more people. The views from the balconies were spectacular, and we woke up every morning to the sound of waves crashing on the beach. We took several long walks on the beach and rarely saw anyone else. Please note, sandals or other footwear are strongly recommended for walking the beach, as the corals are abundant. The condo is in a perfect spot on the island, no more than a 30-minute drive to anywhere else we wanted to go. We will definitely be returning in the future!

I loved being able to hear the waves from the ocean all the time and the views were fantastic. Being able to walk right next door and eat at the Palms was great for the times we didn't want to get out and drive. On Saturday night The Palms had a fire dancer show and a good band. The location gave easy access to just about anywhere we wanted to visit on the island. The mattress in the master bedroom might be the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. I took a picture of the brand so I could come home and buy one! I slept great every night. I would definitely recommend this condo and would not hesitate to stay here again if we go back to St. Croix.

We enjoyed st. Croix more each day. The condo was very nice but more than the two of us really needed. It only took 10 minutes to get to downtown Christenstad and only 25 minutes from the airport to the condo. We rented a jeep for the week and explored St. Croix from top to bottom and side to side. The weather was a little iffy the earlier part of the week but the sun broke through on Friday and gave us the chance to swim and relax on the beach. We only wish that the beach on the property had been a little less rocky. Don had recommended the Palms for dinner. We ate there 3 nights with one of those giving us the Phoenix Fire Dancers. Amazing. We also went back to the Palms on Sunday morning and enjoyed their brunch before going down to the beach. We retired from our he beach and went to the pool. We were the only ones there until we were joined by 3 lizards. One smaller (2ft) and two larger grey ones about 3 and 4 ft. Long. One thing I would like to say is about the maintenance guys. They were the nicest, most helpful people we encountered. The only drawback I we had was that the parking was a little far away considering having to move luggage and bags of souvenirs daily.
Overall we really enjoyed our time to relax in the Caribbean. I hope that Don and family have a wonderful time and we look forward to seeing you back in Solivita.

Great spot on St. Croix
My family and I loved the location of this condo. It was great access to all the activities the island offers and was right on the water. I walked the beach every morning and evening. The patio was incredible spot to relax and drink coffee or wine, as well. I haven't relaxed this much in years.

Relax, Refresh, Recharge
One always hopes for a pleasant surprise when booking a vacation getaway. The online photos were beautiful. The reality was even better. This end unit is right on the water. The sounds of the surf and the refreshing sea breeze were with us day and night. A/C was available but totally unnecessary. Thoroughly equipped and supplied, we could live here in a heartbeat.

We explored the island from tip to tip/top to bottom and always had a clean, breezy, safe place to come back to. We made several meals at the condo and it was stocked perfectly and easy to get to know quickly. Lovely place with the perfect amount of space and charm. Thank you!

Wow! Perfect Stay
I went to St. Croix on a mother/daughter trip and this property was perfect for us. Although there were only 2 of us, it could easily fit 6 people. It’s in a great location - close to the airport, gated community, steps from the beach and close to local restaurants and the boardwalk. The place was beautiful and fully stocked! We didn’t have to worry about toilet paper, paper towels, etc. which made for a stress free trip. WiFi worked well, check-in/check-out was easy and the property manager, David was super helpful and always available to answer any questions.
St. Croix is a beautiful place to visit - my recommendation would be to rent a car to get around. Can’t wait to go back and would definitely stay here again!
