The 6500 square feet spacious house has 9 bedrooms and 6 full bathroom and can sleep up to 18 guest. Please note that this number accounts for children. The house would not comfortably sleep 18 adults. The house is just a few minutes walk from center of town, Mirror Lake and Lake Placid Marina, yet it sits on a quiet residential street for a peaceful get together with family and friends. For nature lovers, there are abundance of hiking trails. Whiteface is approximately 7 miles from the house and it offers activities all year around. The kitchen has two ovens and two dishwashers, making it efficient to cook for large families. There is a drip coffee maker as well a k-cup machine. The house offers a large mudroom for everyone to store their boots and hang their coats. And one of the most unique features this house offers is the equipment drying room. Hang your wet winter attire and warm up your ski boots in the drying room and you are ready to hit the snow again!

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house was even better than we hoped for with plenty of room and bathrooms.we enjoyed the gas fireplace and the dining room table was great for a group of eleven with more than enough room to spare.

We have rented a lot of properties in many locations & this one is by far my favorite!!! This was my second time staying here & I loved it even more than the first time. The house is gorgeous, spotless & equipped with everything you could possibly need & then some. Our group consisted of 14 adults a 4 children & there was more than enough space for everyone..whether you wanted to all be together or needed some quiet space alone. Thank you for an amazing experience once again…this was a birthday celebration I will never forget!!

The home is quite spacious with a great layout for friends and family. The owners are very organized and quite gracious. First and foremost, the house has Central A/C. This summer it was cool when we were there, but other summers in Placid it has been HOT. The C A/C ability was a key for us. The kitchen is well stocked and has a large island and separate eating area. Very nice laundry area, especially when a large family is there. We had 18 guests for dinner and the dining room and deck space was fantastic. The deck on the first floor is great for entertaining and having 2 tables was handy for eating outside after grilling. My family loved the yard with the volleyball/badminton net, corn hole and other games provided by the owners. We have stayed in Lake Placid for the last 10 summers and this is the best house we have stayed in. I highly recommend High Peaks and its owners.

We just returned last week from an absolutely fantastic stay at this property! We were a large group - a family reunion - ranging in age from 5 up to 80. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely! The house was spotless and extremely well stocked. The layout was wonderful and worked really well for our group. The teens/young 20-something cousins took over the lower level with the bedrooms and hang-out area. The little kids and older adults were upstairs so there were no issues with noise late at night! The location was top notch. Just a few minute walk right into town... we walked in every night for ice cream! The house has plenty of bedrooms, a great open first floor for hanging out, and a wonderful finished lower level as well. Plus a bonus second "playroom" above the garage. Our whole group kept commenting on what a fabulous house this was. Communication with the host was great as well. We will definitely be returning. 5 stars!

We had a work event in Lake Placid, our team stayed here. Great house, just as pictured. Best stocked kitchen I’ve ever had with a rental house which was excellent because we cooked breakfast and dinner together everyday. Highly recommend.

Our group of 13 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property to celebrate our Friendsgiving. Although we rarely left the house, the location was just a short walk from Main Street.
We loved having two ovens, two dishwashers and two refrigerators! We had plenty of cookware, stemware and dishes!
I loved that there was plenty of room for us to be together, but also so many nooks and crannies to relax!
Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference. I appreciated that there were boxes of tissues everywhere! Also, I loved the coat trees in each bedroom!
The owner left clear and easy to follow directions on how to leave the property at the end of our stay.
I’m so glad we found this property! It made for a memorable and perfect Thanksgiving!

This home is absolutely top notch! Stunning inside and out with even more space and features than the listing suggests, it is truly a beautiful gathering place for a group of loved ones with a ton of amenities.
Our group was primarily folks over 60 years old but we did have one toddler, who loved being able to roam safely. I imagine that this house is especially great for older kids who can take advantage of all of the games (foosball, pool table, arcade games etc).
Communication with Kim, the owner, was very easy with a quick response time. My only suggestion would be to update the bedroom information on the listing (which is pretty close but not 100% accurate) and provide the detailed room layout list right away, so guests can be sure that each person will be comfortable in their respective rooms. (We were very comfortable, but I know one couple was anticipating that their two twin beds would be made into a King, which was not the case.)
One other important point to note is that the house is very close to Main St (about 1.5 blocks), but it’s at the top of a very steep hill. This wasn’t a problem for us (in fact, we saw an incredible sunset from atop the hill!), but it could be difficult for someone with mobility issues.
Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time and can’t recommend this house enough! Such an impressive home with everything you could need — we hope to back again in the future! Thanks for everything, Kim!

Thanksgiving with Family
This is our second time staying at this house. It is absolutely stunning! It has everything you need to host a holiday with a large group of people. And the location is so convenient to downtown. The property manager was so easy to work with. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect
We have rented several houses for our extended family of 16 and this by far has been the cleanest, most well stocked and beautifully decorated. Plenty of games to keep the kids occupied. We loved gathering in the evening in the living room. The proximity to town was key. Kids would walk to town for ice cream. Adults would do morning and evening walks around Mirror Lake. We could drive easily to all our hikes. If we ever return to the area, we all agreed we would rent this house again hands down. Our stay was perfect.

Nice and spacious, looks new, nice open layout, clean, and stocked up. The owners have clearly put in thought and care in the design and upkeep of this house. It's a 4-5 minute walk to downtown from here.
Kim was fantastic with check in and checkout procedures, and answered any questions that we had, in a prompt manner.
Cannot speak highly enough of this property. Hope to come back again next year to this house.

Large house in a convenient location
We stayed at the house with a group of family and friends for an extended weekend of skiing. The house is walking distance to Lake Placid shops and restaurants and about 15 minutes from Whiteface ski resort. Because of Covid we mostly stayed at home after skiing and took advantage of the large and well equipped kitchen. The house has two game rooms to keep and a large living room that connects to the kitchen. There is a dining table for 18 people plus a breakfast table and a dozen bar chairs. One of the most useful features is the drying room where we hung our wet ski clothes every night. The owners were incredibly nice and responsive. They deserve six stars for maintaining the property in pristine condition and making sure that the guests are taken care of. We hope to come back soon.

The kids were able to walk to town on their own to shop and of course the teens went to starbucks. We will be back for sure!

The beds are very comfortable and the game rooms are great. The drying room and large mudroom was an added bonus for all the ski stuff. The location of the house is also great. Very short walk to Main Street. We were disappointed that whiteface did not have more trails open and the top of the mountain was closed. Not sure why because there was enough snow. They also paused ski tickets sales bc of covid so only was able to ski 2 days. So having such a large comfortable house was especially a plus since we spent more time in the house than we normally would have. Would like to come back during warmer weather to check out the hiking in the area and try skiing again when the top of the mountain is open and there is no covid restrictions. But this is a great house to rent and we enjoyed celebrating in it! Christmas
