We wanted to find a private house on a lake with great indoor and outdoor space centrally located in the Franconia/Mt. Wahington area. We came across a fantastic option. We worked with Linda, who manages the listing, and her responsiveness to questions, information she provided, and overall service before, during, and after the rental was exceptional. The property is private and secure, although a short trip into the town of Littleton. You arrive at a secure gate, enter the code and drive down a short dirt road to a spectacular house about twenty yards from Burns Pond. We spent a few minutes walking around in awe of the beautiful setting and already imagining the week ahead. You enter the house using a keypad (no keys to lose) and walk into the entry room, which is a great place to store shoes and coats. You then walk into a great open space with a large professionally equipped kitchen, dining room, and spacious living room with a view of the lake. In addition, there is an office on this floor with a view of the lake where I managed to get some work done on the high-speed internet service between activities. The main bedroom is located off the first floor and is spacious and relaxing, with plenty of closet space and a bureau to stow your clothes. The bathroom has a great soaker tub, a separate shower, and two sinks. My two adult kids had their bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and a view of the lake from the balcony. We didn’t use the additional bunkroom downstairs, but it would be great if you had a large group. In addition to the bunkroom, there is another lounge area and a large game room with air hockey, ping pong, and foosball. The outdoor activities included kayaking and canoeing, walking the property, and swimming in the lake. Overall a great spot.

You would be looking a long time before you found such a nice home for your vacation. it's clean, modernized, spacious and just plain beautiful. The views are incredible. It is situated on the waterfront of Burns Pond. The ad says it is on Burns Lake but it's actually a pond and very shallow. For boaters, this means no medium to large boats (which was an issue for us). They have kayaks and canoes for your use which we took advantage of and a dock that my grandson loved to fish off. There is a small sandy area where you can walk into the water and we spent many days floating there. The only drawback was that the sand is very coarse and rocky and the pond is quite murky. Just wear your water shoes or flip flops!. There are several towns that are close by so while the house is secluded, you only need drive a short while to find groceries or anything else. The owner was very attentive and answered all questions asap. A great plus for a vacation spot-the beds were VERY comfortable.

This is really everything we could ask for in a vacation house. Comfortable bedrooms, several hangout areas inside and out, a well stocked kitchen and privacy. We're golfers and were happy to find several fun golf courses close by. There is also excellent trout and pond/lake fishing within a reasonable drive. The local brewpubs offered a nice way to relax and enjoy some nice fresh beer. We had a relaxing stay. We had a great time.. . a great time.

The property was well taken care of. Everything was neat and clean. We only had a short stay for a weekend wedding We would have loved to stay longer. The views of the pond were wonderful. My 86 yr old Mom enjoyed watching ducks and otter( ?) in the pond.

We loved staying here. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The kids loved the downstairs gaming room where we spent a couple of rainy days. There is space for everyone! Location is perfect as well. We were able to enjoy attractions in the white mountains and then go back to the quiet picturesque house and property. We will be staying again!

We stayed at the house with family friends and a total of four teens. The house was just what we needed for a 3 night get away. In February. The main floor is not large but feels spacious with big windows looking out on the lake. We had the fireplace going and hung out on the couch. The teens took over the basement suite with its own couches, game room, and beds for four. We didn’t make much use of the property and drove the 20 minutes to Breton woods to downhill and xcountry ski. Communication was easy but it is strange not being able to control the temperature. It was too warm.
