One fun feature of the home is that the location is only a short walk from the Amtrak stop in New Buffalo, so it's perfect for a no-car vacation if you want to get away from city life. Inside, you'll find a well-equipped eat-in kitchen, a family room, a living area, and a beautiful three-season sitting room overlooking the backyard, perfect for an evening of family time. The family room futon is not suitable for adults but is perfect for the youngster of the family. Complimentary high-speed WiFi is provided and we suggest you bring your Firestick, Roku, or Apple TV for hours of entertainment. You'll also have access to a digital antenna that gets many channels. Kick back on the porch, grill on the gas barbecue, or enjoy a peaceful time around the firepit - there's plenty of room in the spacious backyard for the great spring, summer, and fall evenings! If you've got a shopping itch to scratch, the Michigan City outlet malls are close by in Michigan City. This is a perfect location to relax and enjoy it all! THINGS TO KNOW This property is managed by Vacasa Michigan LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Family members from 3 different states met up in New Buffalo and we had a great time. We parked the cars and walked everywhere. The house was clean and comfortable, would definitely stay there again.

My family and I found this cottage to be very clean with lots of amenities. Great kitchen, several options for living spaces, and ample bedroom space. The local Vacasa host was very helpful! I would highly recommend this cottage!

This house was great for our family of 5 with young kids. Close enough to the beach that we could walk if we wanted to, and it was easy to get to lots of shops and restaurants. The house was cute and comfortable. Lots of cozy pillows and blankets. The kids enjoyed the games and puzzle. Mom and Dad enjoyed relaxing on the sun porch. Excellent place!

The overall stay at the home was nice. It was clean, and in a good location. There is still a good 10minute walk to the the shoreline. I initially booked this house because it was pet friendly, but the email I received to get additional information for check stated no pets. So I had to find last minute accommodations for my dog. I emailed the property management and they said unfortunately there is a possibility that the owner can change it. At the home there was a book for guests to write a blurb about their stay, and the guests that stayed on the weekend of 7/4/22 brought their dog. So somewhat disappointed about that. Overall stay was nice.

Clean house. Nicely decorated. Loved the nice backyard. The sun room in the back of the house was a nice perk. Kitchen was modern and well stocked with everything that was needed. We would rent this house again!

We are family of 5 - plenty of space to spread out And we walked to Starbucks every morning. Nice yard, outdoor area, and sunroom. House was clean and had everything we needed.

Wonderful house, when we had power. Two big storms came through and left us without power for 2 1/2 days. Something in the house was beeping non stop and when I called Vacasa they said someone would be out to check on it and call me. Nothing ever happened. Then when I left this information on their email they gave me a 10% discount on my next stay with a Vacasa property that may take a discount. Oh boy! That seems like more of a chore than it's worth. But the house and area are nice, you can hear the Amtrak.

We enjoyed our stay… loved the location to downtown New Buffalo. However, that being said, when I reached out twice to ask the most basic of questions, I heard zero response. And the kitchen floor has cracked tiles, missing grout, and one can actually feel the floor move under your feet while standing on it! The floor also in the three season room had similar issues. Not what I expect when I stay in a home… and it’s too bad cause the rest of the home is quite lovely. Also, kitchen cabinets are old which would be fine if everthing didn’t feel so dirty on the inside of them. Again, the kitchen did not match the rest of the home’s quality. We liked the three season room and again the location of the home in a quiet neighborhood.

New Buffalo is such a cute little town!! The house was in walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops, ice cream, etc. Eating at the Stray Dog is a must, and then stop in at the Color Pop shop! The house was inviting and very clean — such a quiet neighborhood and very relaxing for walks. We loved the shutters! The sun porch was great, would be even better in nicer weather. The train stop is so cool, and seeing the train go by from time to time is neat. We had some yummy eats around the area too! New Buffalo is only 15 minutes from Warren Dunes State Park and 15 minutes in the opposite direction to the outlets in Mich City, IN.
