About this condo rental
Situated in Brookings, this lovely condo for R 4,830 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. NOTE:***Children 13 years of age and older are allowed*** By The Sea Is a newly remolded and beautiful oceanfront two-bedroom, two-bath condo located on the first floor of the "C" building at the Rainbow Rock Condos located just north of Brookings. The unit is the center of three units and can be accessed without using stairs on either the right or left side of the building. I usually recommend to guests needing to use the flat walkway to park on the right side of the building where there are nice large parking spots. By The Sea has breathtaking views of the ocean from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and patio outside. Relax watching the waves crashing below, and boats going by. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a whale! The unit is well stocked, very comfortable, and inviting with "By The Sea" decor. The unit is NOT equipped with A/C due to the fact that it rarely gets hot on the ocean bluff which is located in a banana belt and there is usually a really nice ocean breeze that keeps temperatures cooler. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms and the unit does have an extra-large slider door that leads to the closed-in patio and windows that open in both bedrooms. There is an electric fireplace in the living room which provides a nice ambiance and there is also central heat. The gated condo complex sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean. There is a private nature trail with lovely bushes, trees, plants, and flowers from the complex to the secluded beach below where you will find a small cave, rock cliffs with amazing colors, and plenty of tide pools to explore. If the trail is a little challenging for some, Harris Beach State Park is just south of the condos and they have nice large concrete walkways down to the beach. There is also Lone Ranch Beach just north of the condos that has easy access as well which is about a three or four-minute walk from the parking lot. Inside the unit, there is a binder with information that you will need along with recommendations for other places you might want to check out in the area as well as restaurants to enjoy along with the types of food and seating arrangements they offer. By The Sea is managed by a local property manager, Valerie, who has been working with vacation rentals since 2014. Valerie is dedicated to making sure that your check-in and stay run smoothly. After booking, she will call you to go over some information, let you know what to expect, provide you with contact information, and answer any questions you may have. Vacations are a time to create lasting memories and it is our goal to help make them wonderful!

There are truly no words to express how amazing our stay was. Everything was perfect and the view was beyond any adjective I can think of. If you’re looking for beauty, relaxation and peace, this is a must! Valerie was incredible, the condo exactly as shown/described and worth every penny. This condo was beautiful and even had a private walk down to the beach. Valerie was great prior to check in and very communicative. No issues upon arrival, super clean condo with updated bathrooms and appliances (even had a coffee grinder for whole bean coffee). Private walking path to the beach with sunset views. Hoping to return for an anniversary trip one day!

The view was fabulous and the condo was clean and well appointed. There is a trail to the beach and the tide pooling there is excellent when the tide is low. There is also a sandy section for walking.

The location was beautiful. Harbor seals out front every day! This is the best equipped condo I’ve stayed in and very updated. The property manager, Valerie, was outstanding! Very friendly, responsive and all in all, a joy to work with. Called us saying her housekeeper found something important my sister had misplaced and went out of the way to return it to her. This was an exceptional property that offered everything one could ask for. Beautifully appointed, great beds and linens, a kitchen to satisfy most any discerning cook, 180 degree view of the ocean, and very quiet. Valerie was always on point and efficient. This was akin to an upscale hotel in that it had no personal items. We will be back.

This was a favorite VRBO stay for us. We were traveling with my parents, who recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in Brookings, and all four of us loved every minute.
The property owners and Valerie, the property manager, were accommodating and so helpful as we navigated a fantastic stay at the home. This property is spotlessly clean, practically appointed and beautifully decorated. The view of the ocean from and natural lighting in the kitchen, dining and living room were fantastic, private and unobstructed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, plus some (even had great knives, which we rarely experience). The property has trails leaving from the property to a private beach and to the Oregon Coast Trail (leaving from the pet area). The property is quiet and serene. Parking was easy (a nice long garage) and there were parking spaces to the right side of the unit that allow a flat transition from parking to front door.
In summary, this was a wonderful experience; especially for my parents who love Brookings and miss gazing out into the Pacific Ocean. We hope to return soon.

My mom and I stayed at this breathtaking condo for 8 nights! This is the cleanest and most stocked condo we’ve ever stayed in! The view was something out of a magazine! Mom doesn’t do stairs and were thrilled that this unit had a walk-in option!
We loved that Valarie the property manager called us well ahead of time to discuss our stay. We were able to ask her questions and it made us feel at ease.
We would highly recommend this condo for family couples or anyone wanting to completely relax.

Ocean Breeze Oasis
Wonderful location just outside Brookings, OR. The veranda was perfect to sit out at in the morning for coffee and watch the ocean. Be sure to bring your binoculars so you can see all the fishing boats going by!
Brookings is a fairly cool coastal town, so while this condo doesn't have AC that isn't anything to worry about. Brookings doesn't have too many scorching hot days where you need it. If it does get a bit too warm, open up the sliding door off the dining room and enjoy the ocean breeze!
Valerie that property manager was amazing! Great communication while trying to book the property, before our reservation to make sure we had everything we needed, and while we were there. We couldn't figure out the fireplace when we first got there and Valerie was able to help get it sorted out very quickly!
The kitchen is FULLY stocked! While Brookings has wonderful restaurants to enjoy, if you're feeling more like staying in and cooking this kitchen has it all! It had everything we needed to prepare multiple meals and items I never would have thought to find at in a vacation rental kitchen. Truly a stocked kitchen!
Having the washer and dryer in unit with detergent and dryer sheets was very helpful! We were there for almost a week. We went on a Jet Boat tour just north of Brookings in Gold Beach and got way more soaked than we thought we would! It helpful to be able to do a load of laundry half way through our trip.
While going to the coast there is plenty to do out and about, if you are looking to wind down, stay in and watch a bit of TV be aware that the owners have many DVR Recordings set up that might hinder this. While the condo has 3 TVs, around 5pm every day the owners have so many DVR Recordings set that all TVs are recording something and you can't choose to watch anything you want, just what is recording or what they have on the DVR.
All in all this is a fantastic rental and we would love to stay here again!

By the Sea condo just north of Brookings, OR, has a stunning view out large pic windows and also from small deck outside.(It’s on the ground floor.) Pacific Coast Trail is accessible right from the property, and there is a trail right down the hill to the beach. Great place!

The property manager stayed in touch thru text even though she was very sick. That’s what I call dedication!! Great place, great stay.
