We were visiting a student at UVM and yhis was the perfect distance from Burlington (and the university) and gave us the quiet we wanted.

My wife and I stayed in our trip to the Burlington area and enjoyed each minute we were there.

We didn’t want to stay in a typical hotel to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the farmhouse apt. and especially the farm animals we woke up to. We felt like we were in our own hallmark movie. Very close to Burlington and a nice drive to Stowe. We would definitely recommend this apt.,and the owners were super nice and helpful.Thank you. Dave and Lisa

My husband and I spent a lovely Columbus Day weekend at Riverwatch. Due to the heavy traffic we arrived later than expected and Jessica and Chad were waiting for us on the porch with lights on. Riverwatch is exactly what you see in the pictures. Its quaint and charming. It was fun watching the goats and chickens. The apartment is perfect for 2 people for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. We were taking the Champlain dinner train and Burlington is a quick 20 minute drive. The kitchen and bathroom is stocked with everything you need. My husband loved the vintage Frigidaire! The bed was comfy and the rooms spotless. Its very expensive to stay and eat in Burlington. It rained all day Saturday and we loved having our own place to cook and relax. You cannot get that homey feeling at a hotel. We loved staying here and highly recommend Riverwatch for travelling and touring the Burlington area. Thanks Jessica and Chad for sharing your home. We definitely will stay again!

We LOVED our time here! Peaceful/serene/quiet place. A lovely apartment attached to a century house. Spacious with every needed amenity and nice historic touches as well. There were very friendly goats/ducks/chickens on the property that our daughter LOVED visiting. Pleasant river views across the street.
Very communicative hosts who were wonderfully friendly in person. Great libraries of both genuine literature and things to do in the area inside. The only *slight* frustration that wasn’t really an issue given everything to do was the wifi frequently dropped all of our devices.
The only other negative thing I could possibly say is we didn’t book nearly enough time here! I truly can’t speak highly enough about this property and especially the hosts and we hope we can return for longer soon.

Stayed one night. Cute apartment in rural area. Fine for our short stay prior to leaving VT area.

I stayed at this lovely property, with my dog, for two nights. Jessica and Chad were friendly and helpful. The farm is across the street from the beautiful Lamoille River, and from splendid sunsets. I got a kick out of watching the goats and chickens in the farm pen behind the apartment.
I had a cozy, relaxing stay. Everything was just right! I highly recommend it!

The apartment was definitely not well cleaned. I took pictures that I will send later. There was tons of dust and spider webs etc. I dont know why we paid a cleaning fee, it clearly was not cleaned
well, the bathroom and bedroom were gross.
The toilet is up on a high narrow platform and if you are short you have no where to put your feet. It was so uncomfortable
The shower is just a stall and the shower head was rusty and water did not even come out of all the holes.
The couch was like sitting on a piece of plywood. It was so uncomfortable.
I asked for extra bath towels because we were only given two. The owner basically accused me of being a liar and insisted she had checked earlier in the day and there were 5 bath towels. She came over 5 or so minutes later and apologized and said she had forgotten to take them out of the dryer but by then I was pretty ticked. I asked her to reset the router because my phone kept losing internet service and she agreed to do so after saying they had upgraded to the fastest speed or something to that effect.
When you walk out of the apartment you have no choice but to walk past their door. There really wasnt much privacy because someone always seemed to be coming and going.
There was no door in the bedroom, just a curtain that you couldnt even open cause it wouldnt move on the rod.
There were no curtains on the front door nor the windows in the area with the kitchen table. You were basically on display for anyone who was in the yard.

Our stay with Jessica was wonderful & greeted us upon our arrival. She even had fresh cut flowers that brighten up the apartment. She also has a mini farm & enjoyed petting the animals. It brought memories back from my childhood. We would definitely stay again.

The area is great. Close to a lot of things to do. Goats out back were a lot of fun to watch. It was really cool to see Vermont's ladies and men's rowing teams. They practice in the river across the street. Jessica and Chad are great host. Well supplied rental.

We loved staying at Jessica and Chads home so much! They were wonderful hosts who were so friendly and welcoming. My toddler was obsessed with the goats, ducks and chickens and we spent many hours in the back petting them and enjoying the wonderful property. The apartment was charming and had everything we needed. We wish we could have stayed longer! It was by far our favorite vacation home we have ever rented!

Great setting, quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed watching the goats every morning from the back sunroom. Very comfortable place. The only concern for remote workers would be the Wi-Fi connection isn’t ideal. Not an issue for us but just an FYI. Would definitely stay again.

This farmhouse apartment is just adorable with a a quiet setting and was just perfect for the 2 of us. We had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Our hosts were very attentive and we enjoyed sharing conversations. We also loved watching the goats and chickens play out back while we had our morning coffee. We would stay again if and when we are back in the area.

This place was perfect for a weekend trip to VT. It was more peaceful and affordable than staying in Burlington and about a 20 minute drive to downtown. The apartment was the perfect size for two! The water was not suitable for drinking but gallons of drinking water were provided by the host. An AC in the bedroom and fan in the living room kept the unit cool. Jessica and Chad were amazing hosts, as were their goats Daisy, Dahlia and Sunflower! I would definitely stay here again.

This is such a sweet little spot near the attractions of Burlington but far enough away to be completely peaceful. Loved meeting the friendly goats and enjoyed the beautiful flower gardens.

Very charming and nostalgic b&b. Just the right location for outside comfort. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I could not stay due to unexpected inclement weather The owners promptly refunded the total cost of the apt. I hope to stay again in the future. The apartment was furnished with everything necessary. Just my “cup of tea”!

Let me start off by saying we enjoyed our stay in Milton. The location is fantastic, close to Burlington, lots of very interesting restaurants, and we loved the proximity to the water and the ability to use the dock on the Lamoille River to go paddling. Also, prices to stay in the Burlington area are frankly INSANE. Hotels will cost you upwards of $350 / night. So to have a lower cost option for people to visit the area was fantastic. Oh! There’s also Goats! Who doesn’t love goats?!
Two areas of potential improvement were the wifi / Television (which ran on a wifi repeater) and having Air conditioning in the apartment. The location is pretty rural and verizon cell coverage was not great, but there was wifi in the apartment. It tended to work some of the time and would occasionally drop. This also made watching TV a little frustrating as the TV in the apartment used an xfinity wifi repeater to bring TV into the space. If you had two phones and the TV on, it seemed to overwhelm the system.
The air conditioning was not a huge issue. The apartment is listed as having air conditioning in the unit, but it was not available when we arrived. Thankfully it was on the cooler end, and there was a fan available. Reaching out to the host revealed air conditioning would be something like a window unit and the host did not feel it would be needed for our stay due to the temperature. This is fair, but it would have been better if it were clear the amenity was at host discretion.

Our stay was short but very relaxing and enjoyable. The apartment was delightful as was the surrounding property. Our hosts were very accommodating and we enjoyed meeting them.

Clean, quiet, comfortable! Just across the road from the Lamoille River. The owners keep goats, geese and chickens and beautiful gardens on a lovely property. This is the real Vermont, not those hotels in Downtown Burlington! Given the opportunity, we would definitely return.

We were looking for a peaceful place to use as home base while visiting Burlington, and this listing was just that. The kitchen was very well stocked, the space was clean and simply decorated. It was easy to hop on the highway and get to Burlington quickly. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We’re enjoyed canoeing down the river. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a really great stay! It was easy to check in and out, the property was absolutely beautiful and the house was lovely. Very comfortable and is close enough to downtown Burlington to enjoy the city but also have a peaceful space to retreat to at night. It had all of the amenities and was spacious for 3 people. I would definitely recommend this place!

This was a great place to stay out in the country for a few days. Close enough to Burlington but allows you to unwind and slow down. The place was clean and had plenty of blankets to keep warm, although the furnace worked great so we didn’t really need them. The owners let us meet their new baby goats who were so cute!

Booked this for my 1 year anniversary with my partner as she had never been to Burlington. This is perfect distance between there and the islands and so beautiful! Hosts were friendly and did their own thing which I appreciated.

The host and hostess are lovely and helpful. The unit is well-decorated and stocked sufficiently and had appreciated little extras of high-quality foods and soaps. The apartment was designed well and comfortable. The area was in an ideal location, and lovely with peace and the songs of birds and insects.

Stayed 4 nights, perfectly suited for our needs. Huge yard, our dog enjoyed exploring the property. The private wing of the farmhouse was wonderful, bed was comfortable and plenty of room in the open kitchen, living room, and sunny sun porch for eating. Fairly convenient for our daily trips into Burlington to visit family. Owners are very welcoming and friendly!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Riverwatch. The apartment and it's kitchen were well supplied .One could easily stay here for longer periods and not feel confined. There are numerous books available for reading and they cover a broad field of interests. The WI-Fi worked well and the bed was comfortable.
