Older resort that has kept its charm, and even though some things are a bit run down, they have somehow managed to turn it into a strength. The rooms had everything one needs and I personally enjoyed the use of wood, felt more Bali and less generic.
The staff were very nice. I appreciated that when renting a motorbike, they made you do a little trial run instead of just sending you out there - I wish all hotels were looking after guests like that.
My main critique would be the prices of the restaurants, which were absurd. $40 for a very subpar meal. And the worst part is, since there's nothing else in vicinity, you will be forced to eat at the hotel all the time. When food is more expensive than at home while in Indonesia, something is wrong - especially as it's just unexciting touristy resort food.
I would advise you to stay out of Nusa Dua unless you really want to spend your entire hotel inside the resort. And even then, I would think twice. There's nothing in the town itself, and commuting is harder than it seems. When I left after 3 nights it almost felt like a prison break.
More than two mini bottles of water per day would be nice given that, again, there's no store anywhere near (had to rent a scooter to go to a minimart, and the drive is pretty dangerous).
Special points for the floating beanbag chairs in the pool, Never seen those before but they were super nice.

Great stay in the great hotel

Very close to the beach, choice of excellent restaurants, staff friendly and joyful. Modern resort style; if you are looking for a traditional Balinese bungalow experience then this is not for you.

They have great hospitality like very kind and friendly.
I want to stay again!
I was just concerned about one thing, Air conditioner in the room can not change the temperature as you like.

Hotel is falling apart, dirty, air conditioning was broken, very hot in the room. Management didn't help to solve the problem. Bathroom was leaking. The room condition is bad and old.....

I really loved this stay. I’ve never stayed at a
Resort style hotel usually only smaller scale ones. I would say this place was a good choice for my
First time. The outside facilities were really nice . Great pool, bar and dining options.
Breakfast was amazing - you gotta book it.
The room was okay but maybe because I booked from this site I didn’t get the best room. Overall it was really nice and I would stay again. I highly recommend. Basically you wouldn’t have to leave the grounds and you can relax. Many options for the day to do around the hotel. Really enjoyed this stay

Nusa Dua Beach Resort is truly a beautiful and stunning Balinese resort. An absolute dream location and setting. I can't wait to come back

I enjoyed the stay at this hotel. If you have chosen to be in this district maybe you want maximum glitz, but I was happy to have something that felt just a little more like Bali.

Property was very good. Loved the location and hospitality was amazing.
Only issue we had was the shower drain was not very good. The bathroom kept getting flooded and we had to use so many towels to dry it all as it was flooding into the bedroom.
Loved staying there though and would recommend.

This resort felt like you weren’t really in Bali - it reminded me of mega resorts in Cancun. It was a nice resort with nice beds, beach, & good enough food. Breakfast buffet was really good. Access to lounge chairs was challenging as other guests reserve them with towels early in the morning- and go unused until afternoon; some guests even reserve multiple chairs around resort - dissatisfied staff didn’t manage this better. If your looking for an authentic Bali experience - go to uluwatu.

The resort rooms are very average and outdated. The facilities otherwise were good. Staff were friendly. We had concrete dust all over our balcony from work they were doing nearby

Came back after many years. Still a great hotel with that traditional Bali feeling. Only criticism would be more traditional food on the menu please.

Lovely and peaceful property

This property is absolutely stunning. The rooms, lobby, gardens, beach and staff are all incredible and it feels like you are in a little paradise of your own. The only reason why I gave this a 4 star rather than 5 is housekeeping. They cleaned up the rooms really well however often there was no restocking of toilet paper and towels. The first time we called as we thought it was just a fluke, one of those things and they delivered promptly. But it happened a few more times and I feel a 5 star property should not have to be reminded to restock toilet paper, toiletries and towels. That’s basic.
Apart from that, it was an excellent hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent and we had dinner in a few of the restaurants which was generally good. The gardens are spectacular and I loved walking around them especially the one at the back where they grow fruits and vegetables. So cool. Unfortunately didn’t get to try the spa. Maybe next time. Property is within walking distance of Bali collection and there’s a free shuttle too if not bothered to walk.

Even though this property has been around for a while it is very well maintained and very comfortable. The service and staff are excellent. Especially in the club lounge.

Fantastic hotel, not entirely aimed at solo travellers though.

This was our first trip to Bali. The Nusa Dua Beach Resort and Spa made this an amazing experience. They were very helpful throughout our 6 night stay. They accomodated our wishes and were delightful all around.

Pros - Staff are all lovely, buffet breakfast good, pool nice and big - and not over crowded, enjoyed room service and onsite Japanese.
Cons - rooms need some updating and maintenance, nicer wine options at the bar would be great, service can be very slow.

Very nice hotel, with good restaurants and professional team! You can find some activities to do during the day.

Very pleasant resort. The staff was extremely nice. Seemed particularly good for families.
Their section of the beach wasn't perfect for swimming, but you can walk up and down to other sections.

The stay was excellent with amazing view and places around within the hotel itself

The hotel’s grounds are just beautiful. It’s green and lush and the beach and pools are really nice! The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was great. It’s a bit cheaper than most 5 star hotels which might be visible in the rooms. They are not anything wrong with them but maybe not the higher level 5 stars regarding the standard. We had a great time would definitely stay there again.

Staff were friendly, patient, polite, forthcoming, and always with a smile on their faces and were the hotels number 1 asset.
Restaurants and facilities were also excellent.
Room was in an excellent position with regard to access and view but 'tired' especially bathroom and balcony.
The bathroom whilst clean had stained floor tiles and obviously recently repaired wall tiles.
The verandah was in poor condition and had plastic chairs whilst all other balconies in view had timber deck chairs with cloth cushions.
I can't help wondering as to whether Room 3211 had been allocated to us because we had made our booking through wotif (expedia)??

The staff is friendly and helpful. Did not like the double bed which is two 3/4 beds placed together found it a bit uncomfortable.

This hotel is in a really nice area and has a lot going on around it. It is in the midst of the hotel promenade so a lot of options for dinner. We really liked the hotel and the activities it had, probably needed to have better maintenance of the facilities and the pools. However would recommend.

A beautiful resort with an idyllic private beach. The breakfast buffet has to be the most amazing buffet we have ever experienced, we were dumbstruck with the amount of choice.

Lovely location. Right on the beach. Stay was very relaxing. Felt so near to the nature. Overall a great experience.

A tranquil setting and a very beautiful one. The hotel is great along with the staff. Like myself, the hotel is a little dated but I like that, it adds to the atmosphere of a past era. Perfect for those of us of a more senior age as well as for families and children. Heartly recommend a stay.
2.0
the hotel was first launched in 1981 and rooms and facilities were not built for modern travelers.
Room is not properly covered with wifi, in room lighting is poorly designed and there are definitely not enough power points (not even international plug)
Gym is located some 10 minutes away by walk, in a shady corner. The gym is full of foul smell and none of the treadmill works.
Outdoor scenes are nice though, peaceful view of school of ducks paddle through the lake.
Beach is beautiful too.
2.0
The service at the restaurants were poor and then nagged us to review them making us feel trapped, our bathroom door wouldn’t slide properly so we would get stuck in the bathroom and there was no respect for quiet around the rooms at night time keeping us up
