A very large, busy hotel. Our room was good, with a balcony and view to the mountains. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel's bar was a bit expensive and had a cover charge, but the view was great. Areas to explore on foot, such as Kitano, and day trip by train, ropeway, cable car and more trains to Arima Onsen.

This hotel was BEAUTIFUL! The staff was so nice we came as a group of 5 Americans with very little knowledge of Japanese language. Everyone was so hospitable and helped with everything including finding a place to eat and ordering us a taxi to get there.

We stayed 2 nights on the weekend. No cleaning and had to complaint and requested to have some clean towels. There are no convenient store around the Hotel and it was so hard to find milk for my toddler. Price and condition of the hotel is not matching.

Decent hotel with spacious room, but a bit old facilities. Hotel provide free shuttle bus to Sannomiya which is quite useful.

The staffs are friendly and super helpful especially the welcoming girl in the lobby who greet us and assisted our luggages the hotel room feels old compated to the gorgeous lobby. the view is beautiful but the room is too old and has an unpleasant smell. they should kerp the air refresher on all day long. Overall is good.

Very accommodating once the hotel became aware of my room level. Level of service seemed to depend on economic worth.

Beautiful location to watch boats go in and out of the harbour. Breakfast was excellent.

I booked a westview standard room and after checked in found out the room is too small for my wife and I , and at patio have diesel smell from ship outside. The front desk manger help me to upgrade to executive room with additional charge. We are happy to make this decision then , because the room and the 270 degrees view are awesome , we had enjoyed a lot for our four night stay. And the executive room provide free admission to breakfast/afternoon tea/night cocktail. Great stay!

We stayed at Meriken Park Orientalin May 2023. First we were greet to no check-in until 3pm, no mention of facilities we might want to use, no wifi given while we waited or suggestions of what to see close by. I've been in the industry for over 33 years and I've never once been greeted in this manner or not been "allowed" to check in earlier. There was never any attempt to even check if our room was ready. Really, what is the benefit? It just means your customers are then met with standing in a queue when check-in finally opens. Rooms in hotels are ALWAYS ready prior to check in time advertised . Check- in was okay, no explanation of facilities. We discovered on our own merits that one offering provided which is super useful was the shuttle service into the main shopping area however, the fall down here was there was no explanation as to where you can get picked up which caused extra confusion.
The redemption was the staff in the restaurant and breakfast buffet was exceptional, you couldn't want for more in this area.

Overall, the stay was pleasant. The housekeeping service was great.
The only downside is the rooms may need a bit of refresh, the carpet and bathroom tiles some deep cleaning.

It is a bit far from Sannomiya station, but the scenery is fantastic. The rooms have balconies too. If you want to go to Sannomiya station or around Kobe but there is the City Loop bus stop below the hotel near the parking area. With a one or two day pass (purchase from bus driver) you can hop on/off around Kobe’s key tourist sites. Forget the hotel’s “free” bus shuttle with its rude driver. You are better off with the friendly City Loop bus.

One thing I was disappointed was I found a used spoon under the chair, it was disgusting.
I was wondering what kind of house cleaning service did.

The hotel itself was very clean and beautiful. The staff was amazing! The room was nice, however, the carpet was quite dirty. Breakfast was delicious and there was a lot to choose from. 15 minute walk from a great shopping mall with lots of restaurants to choose from. Would definitely go back

This is listed as conveniently placed, but the distances from Mosaic/Harborland etc are actually pretty far when you consider you have to walk quite the U-turn around the harbor to get to anything. Taxis are readily available and the shuttle bus to Sannomiya station was very convenient, but walking like we’d planned wasn’t feasible for us with a small child in tow. A free extra futon was also listed as available for the room but we were just given an extra blanket for our child to sleep on. The dinner and breakfast buffets were good and we enjoyed very much! The harbor view is also lovely, as is the general ambience in the hotel. The staff were kind and helped us with everything.
