We stayed overnight en route to another destination. The price was great for what we got. The clerk was very nice. Our room appeared to not have been quite finished being readied, as the door was ajar, the TV was on, and the pillows were in the middle of the bed, with no pillow cases. Otherwise the room was clean. We could easily hear the TV next door and the guests upstairs so if you’re a light sleeper you might choose a different room. The heater and fan were very quiet. Adequate stay but we will likely choose another place next time.

This is a great budget motel in a great location in Brookings. I travel with the service dog and I appreciate that they had dog towels available for my dog. They put me in a pet room and there were stains on the carpet. There was hair in the sink and hair in the shower, mold on the shower curtain, all which can be fixed quickly with bleach and a better rinse down. The floors were sticky, probably the cleaning agent they used. But what I did like about this motel was that it felt safe for a budget motel, and the location is good, staff is friendly and had plenty of suggestions and were truthful about restaurants and things to do. If management ever decides to remodel some rooms and especially because they allow pets, they should put in vinyl flooring in the rooms to make it easier to disinfect the rooms from pet dander or whatever guests may even do the room. The hair dryer was a nice addition as well as a small refrigerator and microwave. You have to close the bathroom door to keep the sunlight out in the morning. The water was really good, scalding hot! Good water pressure and the drains were clean and water went down the sink and tub quickly. It's a nice motel because they do not allow monthly renters like other chains.

I stayed here 3 weeks prior and everything was great so I returned. Everything was good. One exception. I hadn't seen this before but the headboard had USB outlets on each side. Handy! I plugged my phone and laptop in. In the morning I found neither had charged. The USB and the Wall lights are all on the same circuit as the entry switch. To turn out the lights in the room I had to use the switch by the door. The room was good and I will probably return but I know not to use the USB with the lights turned off.

This hotel is loud. When guests in the room above us walked around, it sounded like fire crackers were going off. Maybe the flooring is coming unglued? The housekeeper did not get to our room for night two! And don't be fooled by the name -- the hotel is not on the coast.

We had a great rate at the Americoast Inn and we were happy with what we got. It's a little rough around the edges (paint in room could use a touch-up, for instance), but overall, perfectly comfortable. And while the town is right on the highway, there are a decent amount of restaurants to walk to, so we had a pleasant time here.

It’s OK but worn out definitely needs a facelift. Bathroom stains from water leaks but surprisingly the bed was comfortable. They have squeezed their money out of this place paint peeling on the front door.

They took great pictures for the website. Zero ocean view. Toilet leaked with the first flush. Turned and left the room and stayed elsewhere. The lady at the front desk was very accommodating and understanding.

It was ok. We arrived late and the front desk was accommodating. The building is old and need of repair , lots of noise from the other rooms but clean. The excessive noise did make it difficult to sleep

The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, but it wasn’t a big enough deal to call the front desk. Other than that it was exactly what I expected it to be and it was fine for a place to sleep. Bed was very comfortable and the lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful and made me feel welcome!

This is a motel by definition…it’s a little dated. But clean and the staff was very friendly! They had done some updates to the room in the “bathroom area”. There can be a partial ocean view from the second story. Not a bad price for a safe, quiet clean room with the ocean in the distance.

A very topical roadside truck stop type motel. I felt the towels and sheets were a little old or maybe even not very clean. They insist that they have a view of the ocean, NOT. You can see 2” of ocean across from a truck parking lot.

This motel is getting older & older. The floor in front of the bathroom was worn down considerably, and you can hear all the footstep above very distinctly creaking and thumping back & forth late at night & early morning. The front desk lady was very friendly, it's just that the whole building is run down. Probably won't stay again.

An older property.... clean except for an especially dirty and old bathtub mat..... check in was very quick and the host was very helpful with good info on where to eat and how to get there....gave us a TV station guide since we were out of state travelers and the location was perfect for us.

It was decent for the price! The blanket wasn’t the best and kind of scratchy and uncomfortable. The bed was decent. Definitely not a partial ocean view. Also, mine and my boyfriends cards got charged for the stay… waiting for it to not be pending still so I can figure that out. Basic cable, nothing fancy.

This place should be torn down and rebuilt. Window lock broken, shower hear was 4 ft off the floor so you had to be a midget plus it was loosely hanging there. Had a coffee maker sitting on top of a small fridge and the cord was so short you had to unplug it to fill with water It looks like nothing has been done to keep this up in 30 years.
