Really friendly owners, room is comfortable, but it's a little chilly in the winter. A space heater is provided but is a bit slow to heat up the space. Otherwise really pleasant

Since this was a heritage home, there was no central heating so we needed the down comforter and the electric heater provided. The breakfast was fresh and made to order. It was nice to visit with the owner and other guests.

I had read great reviews for this property and had been trying for years to get to Prince Rupert and to stay at this bed and breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not quite up to the description. It would have been nice to know that one had to go down some steps to access the bathroom. Even though we are an older couple without any mobility issues, we were always extremely careful about going down to the bathroom, especially as the lighting wasn’t great. The room looked okay, until I had to find items that had rolled under the bed and sofa. Someone needs to take a little time and “swifter” under the bed, sofa, and wine shelf. There was a bar fridge available which was nice. Unfortunately it had to be located under a stairwell. Understand why it had to be put there, but I never could find a light switch so that I could see in the room. I had to use the flashlight in my phone when getting something out of the fridge. Only two bath towels and one hand towel in bathroom and neatly empty hand and body soaps. The day of our check in, the property manager was very helpful in explaining which remote to use in order to access various tv options. But when we wanted to pay our bill so we could check out early the next morning, it was difficult to connect with her as she was extremely busy. Never located the smoke detectors - hopefully they were somewhere. Pluses - pet friendly and private entrance

This is the first time for me at a b&b, and I was pleasantly surprised at being able to walk right in and get settled :)
The decor is brilliant and we loved that we entered and experienced the circular staircase with the convenience of the side stairs. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning!

Pillows and towels need replacing. Glassware in our room needed washing. Room looks nothing like the photo. Most basic breakfast we've ever been served in a B&B. Little effort put into it. Floor between bedroom and bathroom needs immediate repair. It's a hazard.

We had a great stay at Tall Trees - we were able to self check in when we got off the ferry at midnight. It was a little tricky knowing which door to enter, but we got to our room which has a chalkboard showing we’d got the correct one. We had to park on the street because there were two cars in the driveway and despite plenty of space we were worried about parking someone in if they left early. Street parking was fine though and we left all our luggage in the car overnight with no worries.
We had the east room for our family of four. The king bed was massive and SO comfortable, the kids were comfy in a bunk (watch your head on the roof!) and the room was super clean and a great size. We met Andrea downstairs who had had a hard night but warmed up quickly and cooked us a delicious breakfast with perfume eggs and yummy bread and we really enjoyed her conversation, anecdotes and tips about the area. We met the crazy little band of dogs once we’d finished breakfast and we left via a beautiful nature trail out the back and saw a Bald Eagle on our walk to the jetty. Great value, happily recommend.

Went down for breakfast and no one there,when host did come in,there was no greeting, I had to ask for cream and sugar for coffee, eggs were kind of slopped on the plate had to ask for salt and pepper. Cold toast, no fruit . Host didn’t seem to hospitable. She kept blowing her nose while we’re eating,she could of gone to bathroom to do this😗

We would stay at Tall Trees again. It’s a quiet neighbourhood near to the marina, the nature trail behind the house that leads to the ocean is just GORGEOUS and the house itself is very charming, with interesting architecture and little nooks and crannies.
I have only two “complaints” (and they aren’t enough to keep me from staying again) - but here they are, none the less. 1.) I found it very cluttered - I know a B&B is someone’s house, but the lounge and kitchen don’t look like the website pictures. It’s very “lived in.” 2.) Again, it’s someone’s house, and they live there, with their dogs. But I just found it unpleasant to have barking and wheezing dogs in the kitchen while breakfast was being made. It would be more foodsafe to feed the dogs elsewhere, and not have them in the kitchen during meal time. That being said, if you have children along like I did, they will LOVE the doggies. So I feel bad even having an issue with it!

Liam and Andrea were excellent hosts and accommodated our early morning departure by making us muffins to go. I would recommend this BnB to others planning a stay in Prince Rupert.

Ripped pillow cases that obviously had not been cleaned. Beyond stained mattress protector. Dead squished bed bugs. Massive spider that was there long enough to make home in the shower. Mold and mildew. No toilet paper supplied. One of the storage drawers was opened to reveal a musty old blanket covered in animal hair. Mattress had a massive indent from being used for so long. The lounge common area was not useful as the couch was covered in moving boxes. The area to eat the complimentary breakfast was dirty and not inviting. This place should be inspected for bed bugs !! Never recommending to anyone and never staying there again.

The owner had to leave for an emergency and friends took on the various duties. We were given freedom to use the kitchen and did. We had to stay 3 days longer and we were allowed to. The price was very good. The breakfast options were great. Things went well and we had a great stay. Will recommend to others and come back.

I fully enjoyed my stay at Tall Trees. I stayed in the North Suite which was terrific-spacious, bright and tastefully decorated. The room has a king sized bed and a set of bunks (which I didn't use) The bed was very comfortable, there is an electric fireplace, another heater, large TV, ceiling fan (white noise), lots of natural light and a small fridge. My breakfast was great (veggie omlettte) and was delivered as promised along with coffee and orange juice.
I didn't eat on Day 2, although it was offered. I parked across from TT but there was plenty of room to park on property. The host was friendly, polite and attentive to me but gave me my space :) There are dogs but they were well-behaved. I loved the huge jet tub and the bathroom had some great extras- magazines, blow dryer, toiletries, etc.
I did notice a few areas that should be addressed I suppose but I was okay with them:
The bathroom sink tap was turned on when I arrived and one tap came off in my hand when I shut it off.
The toilet didn't flush immediately so I lift the tank lid to find the flushing valve taped together with TUCT tape. I lifted the flush valve and it flushed so continued with that for the rest of my stay. I noticed some staining around one of the windows-PR is very damp and this is not that unusual*The staircase leading to the room is quite narrow and steep. These issues might put people off but the good far outweighed the bad. I didn't alert the host about issues. I would def stay here again

I enjoyed my stay here. Property was convienient to the arena. Would have liked a more lighted entryway but it was sufficient. Bed was super soft. I prefer a more firm mattress but I slept fine. Breakfast was good. I’d stay here again.

The host was rude and not friendly. She gave impression that her guests are a bother and not welcome...
The balcony door did not have bug screen, so we wanted to keep the door open for fresh air, but the hostess told us we should close a door because of the bugs coming in...
She told us to open a balcony door and put the fan on to blow away the bugs coming through the none screen door....precious ! This is beyond any technology !

When you arrive, you dont have what you see in the photos of the site. The room was ok but the living room was a little bit a mess. There is a table dressed for breakfast but i think it is only for the photos. The breakfast was very disappointing. It was suppose to be by a chef. I never see the chef or somthing near a chef.

Breakfast was included but no time given. When I entered in the morning at 9:15am breakfast was over! Clearer communication around this is needed as i paid for a service i did not receive. The dishes has not been cleaned beforehand.

I liked the location-close to the center of town. the room was very easy to access-private entrance. Nice and quiet.
My only concern was the lighting inthe bathroom, which had steps to access the toilet, sink and shower-a bit more light would have been safer. The management was helpful and considerate.

The decor is very unique and charming. The location is good; it is not far from the city centre, but it is on a nice quiet street. And the owner is charming!
