Everything at this inn is impeccable...friendly staff, very clean and comfortable, great food. This wasn't our first stay, and it won't be our last. We will be back!

Room fittings (drapes and blinds) need improvement. One of the door latches did not work. Outside light needs fixing. Room was fine but smelled a bit musty. Meals were excellent. Overall a pleasant stay. Staff were most helpful.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Sugar Hill Inn in early September. Our room was cheerful and had adequate space to move around. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast before we set out for the day. The bar wasn't open that early in the week, but the owner was willing to open it for our group of four and another couple who were interested in enjoying a cocktail. I think that is pretty good service!

Super charming, very friendly staff and owner. Food was delicious. Could use better upkeep. (I wanted to swim in the pool but it hadn’t been cleaned, fan in room was broken) I would expect better for the price of the stay.

The Inn was perfect and just want we needed for a get away. The breakfast and atmosphere were both wonderful and it's to travel to other townsa dn close by the interstate. All around would definitely rent again

We stayed here for a wedding nearby, last weekend. We absolutely loved the Inn! Our room was fantastic and had everything you would need and more. The bed was really comfortable, the room was spacious and clean, and it was supplied superbly!
Breakfast was delicious!! Couldn’t praise the Inn and staff any more! What a wonderful place.

We stayed in the Rose room for one night on our visit to Franconia state park. The location was perfect and close to many hikes we wanted to do. The inn was very clean and had a great porch and library for reading. The inn owners were kind and inviting. I’d recommend this spot to anyone traveling through the area.

Charming and spacious room, everything very clean. Quiet AC. Limited TV but used my own Netflix account. Wonderful breakfast. Definitely will return.

An historic and charming building — nicely decorated but a little rough around the edges. Breakfast in the dining room was a pleasure. The nearby hamlet is limited in terms of restaurants and shops.

We usually prefer hotels, but the inn far exceeded our expectations! Everyone was pleasant and made us feel at home. We will definitely visit again!

Be sure to tell them if you are tall. My husband couldn’t stand in the shower and getting in bathroom was a high step with low door casing. Our room at top of the stairs was very noisy. Kitchen I think and bar noise. Floor in the unit was slanted. You’ll want to be sure all guests have good balance. Tricky to maneuver in darkness of night. Meals we’re excellent, would book again but a different room.

This place is everything you would want in an Bed and Breakfast but more! Breakfast was Amazing and Chris the owner is hands on and there if you need anything. Our Forest View cottage was better than expected with high end toiletries and an espresso machine.

Brand new owners, absolutely delightful couple. The owner saw me clearing snow off my car and he lent a hand.
It is a handsome property, originally a farmhouse built in 1791.
The food was excellent, a different menu for breakfast and dinner every day, stressing local produce as much as possible. Good bar, with 1st class wine list & cocktail selection.
First class linens (Supima cotton on bed) and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Plenty of bathroom linens.
Ample heat available in the bathroom and bedroom, very comfortable even though below 20 degrees (F) outside.
The property is in excellent condition but the new owners are paying attention to every detail and are planning on tidying up a few minor details (e.g. replacing standard issue hotel toilet paper with a premium brand, how many inns think of that!)
It was a totally enjoyable stay.

Sugar Hill Inn is a country inn in a small town hear Franconia State Park. We stayed in a king suite room in a building behind the main house and had a porch with a view of the property. We appreciated the updated and modern room and bathroom and the excellent breakfast but were disappointed that the restaurant was closed and the happy hour was not available on the days we visited (Sunday and Monday). This is high tourist season so we were surprised. If you arrive late to breakfast, you may have to wait for the first round of people to finish eating in order to be seated. One day we had an amazing breakfast and the next day the portions were scant, as if we got the last of what was left. Overall it was a good experience, but we felt we paid a premium price even though some the amenities were not available.

I picked this little inn because it looked charming and it was. But also because it had a restaurant and we would be driving all day to get there. I received an email reminding me about the dinner option days before we arrived. But upon arrival we found that the dining room was closed. Not only did we not get a heads up but we had received an invite to eat there. The trip to get food was far and difficult. Also we were offered a snack of “fresh cheesecake” to take the edge off. But in the morning the same cheesecake was still sitting out as a fresh snack offering. No thanks. I realize it’s hard to get help but a heads up would be the way to go rather than an invite to dine there.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Sugar Hill Inn in their "Dream Cottage".....a very special accomodation! Everything about this cottage was amazing.....2-person jetted tub, five shower heads in the shower, sauna, french doors to a private porch and so much more. We also had dinner at the Inn....1st class and terrific food. All and all a fantastic autumn experience!

Lovely dinner in their dining room and despite a brief electrical black out while our dinner was being prepared everything came out great. Sara shared some good wine with us; thoroughly enjoyed our stay
