Situated in Mount Hood Village, this lovely house for R 4,487 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Log Cabin: This modern log cabin with an additional guest home is tucked away on two acres just on the edge of Brightwood. As you enter the spacious cabin you will find a gorgeous stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows which allow the natural light to stream in throughout the home. The updated kitchen integrates with the living and the dining room, providing an incredible space for the entire group to enjoy this home together. You will see the décor and furnishing was curated to create that perfect blend of style and comfort at The Fernwood. Ascending upstairs there is a cozy seating area and some extra beanbags. Another large flat screen TV resides here making it perfect for kiddos or young adults that want to enjoy their own shows while being just a few steps away from the rest. Two of the bedrooms are on the main floor which have a queen and full bed respectively. Upstairs just off the sitting area and TV is the third bedroom. This room has two individual twin beds as well as a twin over full bunk bed. There is also a sleep sleeper sofa rounding off the sleeping options to hopefully allow lots of flexibilities for families and small groups. Outside there are a number of seating options on the wraparound deck along with a new patio and large hot tub! Relax after a day in the outdoors by kicking back on the deck, listening to the wild life and/or taking a dip in the hot tub. Guest home: The guest home is located on the same property--allowing proximity to the group but also providing all the amenities of a separate home. Enjoy the fully renovated kitchen, dining and living space along with a full bathroom that includes a washer and dryer. The guest home is included by default with all bookings and is a wonderful option for groups where some need a bit more privacy or quiet or hustle and bustle of the main home. For those booking within thirty days, if for some reason you don't want the cabin as well, we can remove that and reduce your booking by ~$80 per night plus the $60 cleaning fee. Between the cabin and the guest home you will see so much care, hard work, and thoughtfulness went into making The Fernwood a wonderful option for you to enjoy everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house. PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Loved this cabin for our quiet getaway. Great loft space and kitchen. We spent most of our time in the hot tub. I wish there were a few more instructions for the tv, as we couldn’t figure out how to increase the volume.

Our family had an enjoyable stay at Fernwood during the long Thanksgiving weekend. It comfortably accommodated 6 adults and four children. The place was very clean with nice updates. It was especially nice to have the guest house a few feet away and a second kitchen to prepare our holiday meal and for napping with babies. We brought firewood and enjoyed a warm cozy fire during our entire stay. We enjoyed the property, and ability to include our family pup. The location is great and offers many fun activities and places to go nearby. We purchased $5 tree permits and we cut Christmas trees to take home.

The main home was decently clean but none of the dishes were actually clean and had very few kitchen supplies. The second smaller guest home was dirty, there was mold all over in the shower, the roof leaks from the skylight all over the couch. There’s mold in the closet and the sink had food all over in it when we arrived. The hot tub was murky and had debris in it. The few towels in the guest house were dirty/stained.

The internet did not work at all, therefore neither did the version of cable called Roku. Checked in Thursday, Called/Texted everyday about it, had a team member come Saturday at 230 pm mentioning he had just heard of the issue, also the lady at iTrip who told us she didn't have time to sit on hold with the internet Company, I guess her time was too valuable to do that Unresolved was given a 100.00 refund on my 1600 + bill. Not good. To be clear this is my first review in a negative light as I have stayed in others and was more than pleased.

My husband and I had such a lovely stay at this cabin. It was so relaxing and everything was super clean and well-stocked. Our only complaint was the neighbor’s kids were kicking up a bunch of dirt into the air while riding on ATVs one day, but that’s not the owner’s fault. We would definitely be back!

We had such a fun time with family and friends at this glorious property. Ample space for all, especially our family who stayed in the detached dwelling with our 10 month-old. Perfect set-up as we didn’t worry about waking others in the main house during the night. We had wonderful weather the first half of the trip, and some liquid sunshine for the second half. However, it was accommodating and cozy throughout. Truly a sweet getaway for family fun, forest-bathing, hot-tubbing, and big shared meals.

The house and guest house was perfect! Some of the outdoor lights didn’t work near the hot tub and there want not a whole lot of appliances or kitchen extras but other than the at it was awesome!

We had a great visit at this wonderful, cozy home! It was very clean and matched the description on the site. The property manager was easily accessible and kind. Would love to see a few additional things at the home such as cheese grater, strainer and maybe some hangers but overall it was a fantastic house!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! It was close to mount hood ski bowl and eateries. The fireplace was great! As was the hot tub! We didn’t want for anything- except to stay longer!

Everything was great except for the Wi-Fi. It took a day and a half to get resolved but it did get resolved and was thankful for the property manager to work hard to get it working. Highly recommend

The house was very beautiful and had great amenities. The walls were dusty, however, and a few of the items were broken: The cabinet in the kitchen next to the stove had a wooden tablet that falls each time you open the drawer, the garbage disposal does not work, there is a crack on the toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom, the outdoor lights to the patio do not turn on, and the closet door in the downstairs bedrooms is broken - it fell on top of my mom while she was opening it. If these few items are fixed for the next guests, it will be a delightful stay.
