Brand new in Summer 2021 and all 5 star stays since! Folks LOVE Night Heron. Private Pool PER SIDE. Perfect location. West Beach. East side of duplex. Close to everything, including the beach! Easy beach access across street. Cross at the Stop Light right outside! Awesome, affordable. Location. Location. Location! This listing is for the Night Heron's EAST Unit, sleeping 18. We own both the the Night Heron, East Unit, and the Night Heron, West, Unit, or you can book them together as a 12BR, sleeping 36, as the Night Heron, East & West! Private pool PER SIDE! However you choose to slice and dice it, it will be a great stay! BRAND NEW in 2021. High end features and furnishings. Awesome open floor plan on main level. Well accommodated kitchen with island. LOCATION! Walkable to Bahama Bob's, Hangout, so much more! Convenient to walk to ice cream, Island Outfitters (right across 4th street!), beverage store, Italian ice, and more! 10 minutes walk to the Hangout, 2 minutes to Bahama Bobs (we are EAST of Bahama Bobs). So close to everything, yet in your own private duplex, whether you rent one side, or both, you get your own private pool (TWO if you rent both sides!). No sharing unlike condos etc! POOL? You bet. Private PER SIDE! EACH UNIT has its OWN private pool. No sharing. Added a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82' (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a per night surcharge for length of stay (gas is expensive right now, this does not actually recoup the cost!). Fee subject to change due to incredibly high gas rates right now. Any online quote will show the optional fee and its current pricing. You may also add it after booking by simply requesting the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and at least a few days before check in so we can get it on before you arrive. See our FAQ about heatable pools too. Each side of the Night Heron sleeps 18 in beds. NO SLEEPER SOFAS BEDDING: Main Floor E Bedroom: King Main Floor W Bedroom: King 3rd Floor NE Bedroom: King 3rd Floor NW Bedroom: King + Twin Bunk 3rd Floor Middle Bedroom: 2 Twin over Full Bunks (sleeping up to 6) 3rd Floor S Bedroom: King All bedrooms have private suite bathrooms, except the bunk room. One bedroom's bathroom on each floor has hallway access as well for common use. EXTRA FRIDGE We added an extra fridge in an outside storage area. Pull up, unload. Done. Need a beverage while at the pool? Walk over to your fridge without having to trek inside. Full size extra fridge! BEACH ACCESS Beach access could not be easier! The 4th Street public beach is right across the street. How do you get there? Walk out the door, go to to the stop light in front of the property, push button, and cross the street! No crossing random places or getting yelled at for short cutting through private property! PARKING There is available onsite parking for 4 cars per side (2 under the side, 2 in front of the side). Additional overflow parking is available a few blocks away if needed and by request. WIFI/INTERNET YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction! SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well. No smoking please. No pets. Not just 5 stars, an absolute 💯 stars!!! We had a blast. How I was able to find it when I did is beyond me. I had been lookin all over since Jan/Feb for a place and was giving up. The night I booked the boys walked through askin if we were goin on vacay or not. My husband was like can't find anything guess we'll just go to the lake hse. I wasn't wanting to go bn we go almost every weekend so i said ok I'm gonna look one more time but that's it. THEN I was like umm I actually think I've found a place, its across the st from beach but HEY. My husband works for UPS, they do their vacations n Oct for the following yr so we don't have a clue yet to what week's or wldve already made reservations for there or another place yall have....possibly right on the beach. We carried our cornhole boards with us so that was a ➕ up under when it rained and/or when just wanted to stay in. ...Beautiful place. Oh and bn right by the beverage store....SCORE!! And the red light to go to the beach, another SCORE!!

Our vacation was really great, first time for myself and extended family to Gulf Shores! The house was perfect for us. I chose it on Vrbo based on not just the layout and amenities, but also the décor. Nothing disappointed! No issues with the management company. I did let them know that the garbage disposal was leaking, and the fridge filter needed changed. So hopefully they took care of those prior to the next guests' stay! Again, the house was wonderful, so close to the beach and in the middle of all the action. A little noisy out on the front balconies, but to be expected on a busy street during Spring Break. I did check out your website. If we decide to come back, we may look at one of your properties directly on the beach. My husband and I really enjoyed golfing Kiva Dunes, so may consider closer to there.

The house was gorgeous, and though we were originally turned off at being between two liquor stores, it turned out to be EXCELLENT people watching! Ha! Thanks again for a wonderful stay! It will likely be a few years before we do another extended family vacation like that, but I will absolutely check out any small properties you may have for future trips for our immediate family!

We enjoyed renting your house for the week! We vacay with my husbands entire family each summer and this house fit us to a tee!! Seating was plentiful and well thought out…common areas big enough for us to all enjoy being together and pool area was amazing. Loved the frig outside for overflow drinks and all the pool chairs / deck furniture. Proximity to beach was exactly (or maybe even better) than described. We absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay. If I could have requested one thing it would have been a key code lock system on the door to make it easier to lock/unlock without keeping up with a key. But other than that…happy faces all around. Thank you so much for a wonderful week at the beach!

Your house was great for our large family, it's been one of our favorites! The only disappointment we had is that there was no heater on the pool. The location was great as well.

We had 13 adults. The single ladies stayed in the bunk room so one bathroom was pretty busy.
Quite a few stairs of course, so be aware of that. Some kind of dumb waiter or elevator to place groceries/luggage would be so nice!
Overall enjoyed our stay. Easy access to the beach.

This property is nothing less than amazing! We had five couples on our trip. Securing a house with five king size beds and five bathrooms at an affordable price is challenging. However, this property provided exactly what we needed at a great price. The house was equipped with everything we expected and more! We will definitely be booking again!

The house was very accommodating with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, plenty of seating in the living room/kitchen area. Being only a short walk from the beach was ideal, and having the private pool was a big plus for us. We’re already talking about our next visit!

Night Heron East was perfect in every way. Our family had plenty of room and we like sitting on the porch and watching traffic and people. The private pool was just right to relax in every evening.

The Night Heron East is a beautiful beach house. Perfect for large families. We were a family of 17 and the Night Heron was perfect for us. Everyone had a place to sleep. Spacious living area and kitchen. Plus an extra ice maker.
Short walk to the beach. Perfect location in Gulf Shores. No need to use your car. Pizza and ice cream shop next door. Restaurants within walking distance.

After being booked for 6 months…our original accommodations fell through & we were lucky enough to book Night Heron East within a couple weeks of our scheduled vacation. We could not have been happier with the change. All 9 my family members were extremely comfortable in the unit and impressed with the location. The private pool, double balconies, comfy living areas and easy access to the beach were just some of the reasons to love this place. Our first trip to Gulf Shores was a success because we lucked into staying at Night Heron East.

We absolutely loved this property. We went as a large family group of grandparents, parents/siblings/spouses, and kiddos. It was so spacious and comfortable for the 4 families to have both separate spaces and group spaces. It was clean and stocked with all the basic essentials. We loved the private pool and the proximity to the beach. The owners were quite accommodating and checked in by email too! We will definitely plan to stay at this property again.

Loved the property! Lots of stairs be prepared to walk them! Pool is not heated so if you go in colder months don’t expect to use pool. Overall we had a great time. It was located centrally and just right across to beach. Right next to a liquor store and pizza/ice cream restaurant. Highly recommend this property.

Our entire family, ages 6-77, could not have been more pleased with Night Heron, East!! Everything was fabulous: the spacious design, decorating, appointments, amenities, cleanliness, ease of check-in/out and ease of communication with owner’s representative, and owners themselves! The living area was totally open: kitchen, large island with 4 seats, dining table (roomy for 10 adults-could easily seat 12) and family room with large tv.
It was a short, safe walk to the beach…and the b e a c h, just as pictured: beautiful sugary-soft white sand! You are able to rent beach chairs/umbrellas right on the beach. The private pool for just our unit, was wonderful and we enjoyed it every day.
The bedrooms each had their own beautiful updated en-suites. A plus for us was that two of them were on the main floor. Speaking of the main floor, we enjoyed using it’s roomy deck, especially for the early-risers to have coffee and conversation.
It was also a plus to be within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed The Hangout, Bahama Bob’s, the neighborhood pizza place, The Diner, and Wolf Bay (about a 25 minute drive) and the Dolphin Cruise.
Since I am mobility challenged, we rented a sand dune-buggy locally, which was delivered and picked up. That turned out to be the most important item for me. Without it, I would not have been able to navigate the sand, to join my family on the beach in our area.
Thank you Gulf Shores and Night Heron East for a wonderful, memory-filled family vacation.

Very nice place for the family. Plenty of space for adults and kids to be together or have some distance. Pool was a hit and beach access was very convenient. The extra fridge by the pool area was great too. Within walking distance to a variety of shops and restaurants.

My family and I had an amazing time here everything was perfect! The kitchen was beautiful. Very clean and I’m ocd with cleanness and there was not a thing I would have done differently. The beds super comfortable towels nicely laid out we had a warm welcome. The pool was a hit with the kids. The beach was in good walking distance. Would definitely consider going back! Spacious - Clean - nice size bedrooms- property at walking distance to the beach - good for - large group. Everything was good but had little small things needed to improve the experience.
1) Lack a grill to bbq ( we had to buy one )
2) Lack beach amenities chairs - umbrella - wagon with wheel to transport those items
3) The pool lack heat ( cold months )
4) Lack some kitchen utensils such as good knives and board table to cut meet - etc
Other than those small things 1-2-4 that could be improve easily the place shall get a solid 5 — even if 3 cannot be fixed — everything else was GREAT 👍

This home was very clean, well-stocked, and perfectly designed with 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 4 bedrooms on the top floor. We rented both sides of the home and were very pleased to see the living rooms were joined via hotel-like adjoining doors. This was very convenient for our large family. A well-thought-out addition to this beautiful home. Short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We will rent again when we all need to get together in one space.

Well furnished, nice rooms and beds. Location isn’t good right on main road lots of traffic noise. Building right behind had very loud guest who raised Cain until 1-2 am for 2 nights…then it got quieter. It’s a duplex so you get lots of neighbor noise.

OMG! This property is wonderful. The location is perfect. Private pool was a great addition. Our family of 15 stayed there and we had plenty of room. This property has great upgrades including the extra icemaker. I recommend this property to all large groups.

We had 5 families total staying with us, plenty of room for all adults and kids to have their own space or hangout together. Very clean and such easy access to the beach. We had an minor issue with a towel bar and they were there in less then a day to fix. Our only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer. 😊
