About this condo rental
Situated in Folly Beach, this lovely condo for R 8,010 per night is a great choice for your next break. Stay @ Sand Fort @ FB The City of Folly Beach has scheduled beach renourishment for this spring. The project will start at the West end of the island at the county park progressing towards the pier in blocks. The completion is slated for August. While this is welcomed news given the recent erosion from storms and high tides, we realize the potential for disruption based on the project’s timing. We are committed to ensuring your vacation experience remains enjoyable. While most of the beach will remain publicly accessible during the construction, there is a possibility that certain sections of the beach, typically about 500 feet at a time, may be temporarily closed off. The active work area moves every 5 to 7 days on average. Due to so many external factors, we have no way to predict an accurate timeline for when the project will be at any given location. However, if we anticipate in advance that the project may affect your stay, we will be reaching out to you. In the small chance the project directly affects your beachfront vacation, we will work closely with you to discuss options. According to current pacing and projections of the renourishment project, we expect the project to be completed at Chas. Oceanfront Villas by June, barring any unexpected delays This villa offers unbeatable ocean views and an ideal location. The open living area and master bedroom balcony both offer breathtaking views of the ocean. Located just a half block from the popular Center St. restaurants and shops, you can easily explore everything Folly Island has to offer. This unit is situated on the first floor of the Charleston Oceanfront Villas, providing easy access to the property by taking the stairs. If you prefer, there are also two elevators available on the property for your convenience. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV with Roku streaming capabilities, allowing you to enjoy your favorite shows and movies during your downtime. The fully stocked kitchen features gorgeous granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, making it the perfect space to gather and prepare meals. There is plenty of seating to enjoy meals together, including additional seating at the breakfast bar. Overall, this vacation home provides the ultimate combination of comfort, convenience, and stunning ocean views. Charleston Oceanfront Villas is a gated oceanfront complex located steps from the shops and restaurants of Folly Beach. These villas feature 2 oceanfront pools, 2 elevators, private covered parking, and amazing views. The pools at the Oceanfront Villas are open seasonally from April 1 - October 31st, weather permitting. The temperature of the pools is not controlled, and will largely depend on the outside weather conditions. Building management is responsible for the upkeep of the pools and elevators on the property. They may close either of these amenities for routine maintenance or cleaning as and when required. The pools at the Charleston Oceanfront Villas offer an excellent opportunity for a refreshing dip in the summer months, but it is essential to plan accordingly based on their seasonal operation and external weather conditions. Parking is limited to two spaces per villa and passes are complimentary. If additional parking is desired, it is at the discretion of the building management and based on availability. If additional parking passes are available, guests may elect to purchase them, but the cost can range up to $100 per pass. We've partnered with VayK Gear to provide our guests with a credit towards beach gear rentals! If you book this vacation rental for a stay duration of 4 - 14 nights, you'll qualify for a $250 credit towards vacation gear! Please note that the HOA does not permit Vayk Gear bikes/surfboards,kayaks,paddleboards at the complex. Good news is Cool Breeze bikes is just right down the street on Center. This property is licensed with the City of Folly Beach: LIC043336

We had an awesome time. The condo was very nice! The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, utensils and cookware. It was also centrally located to everything( we walked everywhere). The view was amazing and we loved sitting on the balcony enjoying a meal listening to the waves! We also enjoyed watching the surfers, dolphins, sand pipers, brown pelicans and wind surfers! We can not wait to return for another visit! The only critique I have is regarding the Vayk gear credit you had to place the reservation 48 hrs prior to arrival.. we were at the unit for 3 weeks and wanted to rent the bikes but the HOA did not allow bike rentals, we did not let that ruin the trip, just wish the credit was more flexible!

Loved our family getaway here. Great view. Despite the fire alarm of the entire complex going off at midnight our first night there, we had a great time. Our three boys loved being able to walk right out to the beach. The adults loved all the dining options within walking distance. Everything was clean and for the most part well organized. A little disappointed to open the Sorry game box only to find the main board was missing. Fortunately, one of our adults was wise enough to bring several fun games we enjoyed in the evening. The biggest disappointment was only having one fob to get into the beach or pool area available. It was a challenge organizing trips back and forth among three families with only one fob.

We loved the space, everyone had a comfortable bed and 3 bathrooms made getting ready very easy. Right on the beach and a short walk to center street in Folly or an Uber away from downtown Charleston. Great quality amenities too!

This property was perfect for our family of 7. Easy Beach access, very clean, and lots of walkable restaurants and shopping. Short drive to lots of Charleston attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Sand Fort. The villa wasa very clean and well kept. The location was perfect to walk to local restaurants and shops. I give it a 5/5 but the only suggestion I have is to replace the mattress in the master bedroom. It has a dip in the middle causing both sleeper to roll to the middle.

We loved our stay at the beginning of November. The condo was comfortable and everything we needed for our girls trip. A couple things to note, the pool is closed starting in November—we didn’t realize it would actually be locked and unavailable to sit by—this wasn’t a big deal, just something to be aware of. Also, this rental is a hard key entry, which requires you to go to a rental office to pick up the keys and drop them off at the end of the stay. (Again, not a big deal, just something to note.) The view of the ocean was wonderful. We loved sitting on the patio and watching the waves. This condo is within walking distance of everything in Folly and was a perfect location. We loved our stay and hope to come back!

While we enjoyed our time at Folly Beach, this property should not be listed as newly renovated as I believe this is misleading. I understand rentals get a ton of wear and tear and this one isn’t an exception. Much of the furniture was in need of a good cleaning and repair. The dishwasher door is a safety hazard for small children as is one of the balcony chairs. The property pools were extremely dirty regardless of day or time of day. It was difficult to secure a cart to load as the maintenance and cleaning crew were using many of them. We had one parked outside our door with the new linens for turnover in it for over 1 day. The cleaning company showed up before 9:30am - checkout is 10:00am. Thankfully we had just finished packing up.
On to the positives- We definitely had plenty of space for our family of 8 and found the kitchen to be well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, cookware, etc. Our bed was very comfortable, as were the sofas and chairs in the living room area. The table accommodated our family well for meals. Appliances worked well. Location is walkable to restaurants, shops , etc. We loved that there are three king sized beds and a bathroom for each (one serves as a Jack and Jill - worked for our family) and provided the privacy we desires. Check in and checkout was very easy and the office was conveniently located and staff seemed friendly.

Location was great. Overall cleanliness was good, but the shower liner in our bathroom was very moldy and bathroom cabinets had water damage. Walls could use some paint touch ups as well. We all had a great time and condo was very spacious for our family.

Photos make living space look much larger than reality. Not enough living space for 6 people. No pillows in 2 bedrooms. No pillow cases at all. Broken fridge so ice maker kept dropping ice and leaking all over floor. Struggled to get TVs to operate Bathrooms needed work and for the expensive cost the unit really needs updating so it looks clean. Had a fun time with family and beach is beautiful but not worth the rental cost fir this particular unit

This villa was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location was perfect with access to walking beach for miles. Easy walking access to Folly downtown area for food and supplies. Parking was never an issue. Just wished that check out time could be a little later. Loved our stay and hoped to be back.

....my daughter sent an email with photo attachment....As you can see from my daughters email we were very upset and disappointed with this mornings event..I filled out your survey and gave excellent marks on everything last night but after this morning I’m not so inclined to give you as good a rating on your website.I spent a lot of money so my family could have a nice vacation and we were so excited with the location and the condo... the property is very nice . ... monthly treatment to prevent the infestation of roaches or other bugs is certainly something that should be done to ensure that your guests don’t have to worry about such things . My family and I had just talked about trying to reserve the same accommodation for next year last evening while preparing to leave this morning.... disappointing ending to our stay!!!!

I booked this unit for a fall get-away and I'm sure glad that I did. There were four of us traveling to the Charleston area for a week of fun... sight seeing, enjoying the beach and visiting local restaurants. We found the unit to be perfect for our group. We each had our very own bedroom and with three bathrooms, no one really had to wait to get ready each day. The unit was spacious, well maintained and the views of the beach and pier were amazing. We didn't "want" for anything as everything we were expecting was readily available. Mike answered all of our question promptly. This was my very first experience with VRBO and Mike (and this property) surely gave a great first experience. Thank you so much!

The place was beautiful and perfect for us. There were 9 women and the accomodations were terrific. Only one complaint...No toilet paper. We had to go out and buy toilet paper...very strange. Otherwise, I can't think of one negative.

My family was really impressed with the condo. I was alittle skeptical before we arrived as to the space for 8 adults and 3 children, because we normally stay in a house on Folly. I was very pleased when we walked in to find it to be so well done in the lay out and the interior design. I was so glad that it wasn`t over run with shells, fish , and boats in very placed you looked. I`m a visual person and it was a wonderful space to be in, very chic with a touch of modern. The thing that I was most pleased with was Michael the owner. He always got right back to me when I messaged him with questions. I had a couple of requested that he took care of. I am huge on customer service, so with the condo being so well done and Micheal being so on top of our needs , we will surely return in the future. Thank you for making our vacation a memorable one.
