Very clean. Comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was fine. Pleasant staff. The bathroom is old, but this is a good value place to stay in downtown montreal. It is noce to have a kitchenette. No complaints.

Here’s a list of things that went wrong
1. Over 1 hr to complete check-in as the front desk personnel is truly incompetent. She kept getting distracted with other guests and couldn’t work their systems.
2. Claimed my reservation never made it to them trying to get me to rebook for a different price ? Finally she had to call her boss to figure this out.
3. Air conditioning system is our room never turned on. Thermostat on the wall might not have existed to be honest because it doesn’t control anything. We were told to wait for 30 mins for it to turn-on which was a lies, no repair tech onsite. We had to crack open the window for the entire night. This, in a hotel that’s so close to one of the busiest streets in Montreal. You can imagine the level of comfort.
Bonus: while we were waiting to check-in a couple walked up to the front desk to show the condition of their soap dispenser. It seemed like mound in the dispenser or something truly disgusting.
Avoid this hotel like the plague. Horrible experience.

I booked the hotel months in advance. The price went down by a 1/3 I tried through Orbitz and the hotel directly to get the current price to no avail. Not even a response from the hotel after several attempts. The cars right outside the hotel were all broken into one night. I asked the front desk several questions about random things in the area- example: do I need to pay for metered parking on Sundays. Their response was always they didn’t know. Plenty of other options in the area and I would suggest not advance booking as am pretty annoyed the lowest price guarantee was not upheld.

Hotel is less than a block from Subway. Very central for food and supplies. Reception was neat and the receptionist was nice and accommodating. Parking is on the next building over and was 20$ for an underground spot. The room had a well equipped kitchen and a living room with a 2 seater pull out couch and 4 seater dining room with TV. Bedroom had a Queen bed with 2 dressers and a work/makeup table. Breakfast was nice and basic with boiled eggs, ham, cheese, coffee/tea/juice, some fruits and lots of pastries and breads. Overall really good and amazing for the price.

We have a issue with toilet in our room. The water keep running and making loud noise. I called the front desk to report the issue he said that the maintenance just left and no one will fix it and ask thus it bothers you?? Ofcourse how can you sleep if there's a loud gushing sound of water close to your bed.

Hotel is moderate. Room is good size but dark. Bed is comfortable. Wifi is inconsistent. Television service is limited. There is a good breakfast included. Staff is friendly. There are few parking spaces in a nearby hotel - it is better to park at the library 2 blocks away.

Staying at Roberval second time and liked! Location is the best! Metro, shopping, things to do and to see .
Breakfast it’s much more than we used to in the US hotels, here you get real breakfast. The only thing I gave 4 stars - parking! You have to pay separately ($20 Cad~$15 USD) and you have to drive to different hotel parking garage, very inconvenient, everything else is good.

Enjoyed our stay in Montreal. Hotel room had kitchenette which was nice. Also great breakfast! Staff very helpful especially since they spoke English and my husband and I don’t speak French ! Easy walk to the Old Port where there was lots to do and see !!

The walkability of this location was perfect.
We did so much walking and were able to see everything we wanted to. The staff were friendly and helpful. Having a small kitchen and air conditioning made things very convenient and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was good. Lots of choices (though not a lot gluten free options).
The coffee was good, fresh.
Overall, a fantastic stay.

Do not recommend staying here. Arrived & checked in late in the evening, no hot water in our room. Was late so decided to leave it until morning. Next morning, still no hot water, let reception know, told it would be fixed. Went to breakfast & came back to our room, still no hot water. Back down to reception, tried to say someone was up there looking at it, got the feeling we were being given the run around so called hotels.com to cancel our 2nd night. 2 hours of our holiday time wasted on the phone organising cancellation & still no hot water. Also, the place is like a rabbit warren, better signage indicating how to find rooms wouldn't hurt.

This is a small and nice hotel near Montreal's port and the city center, in a walking distance from the downtown, Rue de Saint Catharine and Quebec University, so you can reach almost all city major attractions just by walking. Save on taxi or Uber if you arrive from the airport, pick the bus 747 from the terminal and after approximately 30-minutes ride (not much longer as with Uber but 10 times cheeper) it stops just 50 meters from the hotel's entrance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are not so fancy and glamorous as in more expensive hotels but well-maintained, clean and you receive all you need. Breakfast is a basic but satysfying. to conclude - if yiu are up to explore Montreal on budget, Le Roberval defivnitely should be on your short list

Staff was pleasant who helped us checking.in and check out I think his name was Daniel, the mattress on extra bed were extremely uncomfortable. No airconditioning in the room with extra bed. Asked for any provision of fan to help with heat, staff at work couldn't understand, and no other room available as per the staff. Wouldn't recommend it.

Hotel is out of our expectation, clean and location very good, near bus stop and metro station, close to Chinatown and lots restaurants. very good location for without car.
We first booked 3 nights, and extend other 4 nights, for Montreal base to travel near city. Hotel is little old but room is very clean, staffs very nice.
But one thing I didn't like was no hair conditioner provided, I have to go to shop one during our stay. breakfast did not have many choices but is very convenient to have it.

The property met my expectations being in Downtown Montreal, the room was clean and enough supplies.
What I did not expect & discouraged me is the type of parking space, we have to drive to the underground parking of another building and it was scary narrow down & stiff, it's good we have a regular size car & we only have few bags to carry.

i was happy the kitchenette was included, since it allowed us to bring back our takeout and enjoy it with real cutlery, stemware, and dishes!
