Swimming pool was amazing

If you're looking for a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, I highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel nestled in the heart of nature. For those looking to unwind and recharge, the hotel's spa zone is the perfect place to do so

Nice and neat

Poor quality food, opaque staff, no sense of experience just service and again being in an isolated place where they are the only food choice, can be delivering that quality of food.

The property is surrounded by breathtaking nature and is very classy. The estate and many of the buildings are historic, everything is kept in classic countryhouse style with lots of wood and oldschool furniture and plaid. We traveled by train and used the shuttle service to get from and to the Briesen station. You have to prebook that but it's a great option. The main areas of the resort are connected by cosy underground corridors allowing to move between (most) rooms, the spa and breakfast lounge without going outside, so you can keep your bathrobe on. We stayed in the little double room in 'Kleist' House (Not connected to the tunnel system but it's a 2min walk. The room was big enough with high slanted sealings providing additional air space, and a lovely, rustic balcony overlooking the garden. We were able to check in early at 1pm which is great since the spa is free to use from the morning of your first booking day! Breakfast was great and late enough:) You can start eating at 11 am latest which is generous for Germany.

Our bed had only one rather soft pillow each, we asked for extra pillows but they were the same kind so without day-time pillows on the bed it was hard to get company to watch tv or read. The spa is small and a little sleepy. Only one, very nice gentleman was running the pool and sauna area reception including serving the pool bistro. There was no sauna staff dedicated to doing "Aufgüsse", taking care of the saunas and showers or answering questions. A bit more attention and guided experience in the spa would have been great. The pool is lovely and there are a few loungers around, unfortunately they face the pool not the beautiful garden. The staff is very professional, some could be a bit 'warmer' and open. We weren't given any information about the spa at check-in, but i guess the spa reception is for that and flyers with opening hours are in the room.

Above anything else - the staff was incredibly kind and helpful! It was an absolute pleasure interacting with every single member of the staff: from the reception to the SPA area to the two restaurants we ate at. The setting is picturesque, nested in the middle of the nature, surrounded by a beautiful forest and with a lovely lake nearby. Path around the lake (cca 4km) is an ideal setting for a morning jog, although there is a very well equipped gym on premises, too. The spa area is rather good and there are two swimming pools at disposal.

The room we stayed in was tiny and the pillows were super thin, so sleeping wasn't too comfortable. That didn't harm the overall impression though, which was still excellent.

The nature and facilities are truly excellent. the spa is large and very clean with a beautiful garden. The food was absolutely delicious. highly recommended.

The boats for rent need some maintenance

Great secluded location directly at the sea. Perfect place to relax, to swim, hike or simply do nothing. Surrounding nature is awesome. Very kind staff. Spa is great.

Beds were a bit too soft. Restaurant choice is too small for a place where nothing else is in close proximity. The price for vegetarian food is too expensive. No matter if you take the two course menu with meat/fish or veggie, it’s 29€. It would be ok if veggie option was a bit more fancy than quinoa with vegetables. It says it’s a sustainable resort. But I am sure there are more things you could do. Eg soap without plastic etc.

Everything was just fantastic

Amazing nature and great SPA facilities with a big gym (of which there are very few pictures strangely), two pools and a big sauna area. Staff was very friendly to us, breakfast was very nice. We had no problems with the service, everybody was friendly and relaxed. (Sunday to Tuesday)

We had a great stay in a fabulous environment. Breakfast and dinner were good and the SPA is unbeatable. The place is wonderful and service was great.

breakfast was tasty, especially donuts ( as a desert) one of the most fresh and tasty donuts in my life. Overall experience is great, a little issue with language, if you don't know german, then you might have difficulties, otherwise a perfect place for a weekend or night. I haven't tried their spa facilities, but next time i will try it for sure.
