2nd floor was way too loud with hard floor I’m comparison of 3rd floor on previous stay. Room doors closing from other rooms too loud. I would only stay again if 3rd or too floor was guaranteed. Housekeepers in early hours loud. Yelling from room to hall. That should be addressed by management.

We were in Henderson for a medical appt and decided to try the Railroad Pass Hotel. It is definitely showing it's age and it really smells like cigarette smoke in the casino and restaurants. There were signs by the elevator that said they are going to be renovating so that will be good. The first room we got we could not get the air conditioner to work and it was about 90 degrees in the room. I went downstairs and they immediately moved us to another room and the air worked great! Having said that, EVERYONE that we had contact with was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not a sourpuss in the bunch! We ate in the cafe and the food was good with a good selection to choose from. My only complaint there is that the table had not been wiped off before we sat down. It had crumbs on it. The hostess and the waitress were both very nice and gave good service. This was a Monday night so the casino wasn't crowded at all. We didn't see a cocktail waitress in the hour+ that we were in the casino but my husband went back down later and the waitress did get him a cocktail while he was playing then. Overall, it was a good experience. The beds were really comfortable and you had your choice of 4 or 5 pillows which is nice. The cost was reasonable and I think that we will come and stay again.

Very very loud, acoustics in the hallways are terrible and disrupted our sleep. Could hear Ice machine and people talking/walking even though we're far away. Also chose the hotel because of pool, but pool was closed. Also the pictures of the rooms on hotels.com were not representative of the actual room we stayed in.

I knew it was an older hotel because of the historic property, but expected Ramada/Wyndham to have been updated. The only two elevators have a 4-person maximum, and you'll want to pay attention to that - they are OLD. The whole place needed to be renovated forty years ago - bad carpet, dirty bathrooms (a lot of hair on the floor), old furniture. The amenities are sparse - a few Dove body products and plastic cups. The room had a coffee maker set up, but no water provided and there is no fridge. We found the ice maker in the hall, but never located a vending machine. The bed, however, was surprisingly comfortable. It's not a gambling destination, but you can drink for free while playing if you can find a server. If you are lucky enough to connect, tip well and make friends.

The renovations are very nice. I would be nice, however, if you had a small refrigerator in the room. I'd also suggest you have a larger hand soap and body wash available.

I booked the room for my parents. They told me it was very comfortable. The rooms are newly refurbished, as we saw when we got to the room. They were able to relax and rest on the comfortable beds. My parents are older, so I do wish the shower had handles for disabled individuals, as my parents have some difficulty getting around. My parents didn’t have any issues with slips or falls, but it would be good to have handles, and even seats in the shower for those who can’t stand for long periods.

The stay in the hotel was great. However the casino is seriously run down and needs a lot of work. We stayed there because they're pet friendly and that was awesome. They just need to do some cleanup to their casino

Spacious and clean room, which was cleaned and restocked everyday. I only walked through the casino while arriving and leaving the hotel, but it did smell of stale cigarettes. Overall a very good stay.

The hotel has no convenience store for water, snacks, sundries, we had to walk through the rain to the attached truck stop for simple bottles of water. Very inconvenient and disregards the hotel guests. Limited options for food. On the good side, the front desk had a great deal of trouble finding our reservation. The clerk was diligent and got it figured out. Gave us a very nice room for our trouble. Overall the place seems like it's just another truck stop now.

Made my reservation a month early. I was put on the 2 floor which is the pet floor. I didn't have a pet with me. My room was in terrible condition. Bulbs burnt out, outlets that didn't work, dirty, heating and air didn't work, no carpet, cheap fake wood floors, adjoining door that didn't lock and no ice machine on floor 2. I requested a new room the second day and not on the pet floor. The 4th floor was shut down. I was moved to the fifth floor. It was like being in a whole different hotel. Clean, everything worked and carpet.

I picked this property for the price. I was working CES at the Venetian. I'm not fond of the strip but wanted to be close enough. I am familiar with the Wyndham properties and have high standards on what to expect. It did not reach them. If you are not a smoker, I am not; take note that it is a smoking casino. As you open the doors, it hits you. I was on the third floor, and it wasn't as strong, but it reached. Some of the things I was expecting were a microwave and a fridge, but there weren't any in the room. The ice machine on the floor was broken; the only one working was on the fifth floor. Jerry, the attendant who checked me in, was very friendly and cool. The diner, Iron Rail Café, is also on the first floor. It has a daily special menu. On Monday, it was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. It comes with salad. The servers were friendly; the food was delicious for a good price. On the smoke-free side, the views are beautiful; it's far enough from the city without being too far, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. I almost forgot, bring your shampoo and conditioner. The lotion smells nice. The soap is pretty good! Oddly enough, I would stay there again now that I know what to expect. It is quiet, the views are fantastic, and the meatloaf is delicious!

I had a medical emergency when we were checking in and Ben from security was a wonderful help along with the other personnel that came to our assistance. Then on our second day my wife lost her phone and again came to our aid and made it so much easier than it could have been to get it back. High praise to everyone we came into contact with during our stay.

Lights would not turn off flickered like a haunted house so unplugged them. Tv did not work. Bath dirty and dripped all night. No bedspread just sheet/blanket. Fan sounded like it was grinding blades. Tv next door you could here right thru walls. Ice machine broken. No sleep at all.

This hotel is in terrible condition. Old, ugly, stinky carpet in my room. Shower is outdated and needs replacing. No shelf for shampoo, soap, etc. and way too small and I’m a small person. Elevators have a 4 person max, I assume because they are probably not safe otherwise. Not the hotels fault but the room next door to mine had a noise complaint. So didn’t get good sleep. And the final straw was not being able to leave my dog alone in the room for dinner or anything and not being told that until I checked in. Not a great experience

I like the price of the room. I didn’t like that I was not allowed to pay cash for my room at check in. The property was run down. Our room was ok but smelled like smoke. They really need a big renovation of the room. The whole place look neglected.

The front desk employees were very nice and courteous. My room was right by the elevator area and the cleaning crew held their morning meeting there and they were pretty loud.

Check in was the only good experience we had at this hotel. The carpet in our room was disgustingly dirty with huge stains from perhaps drinks or dogs or ?? Our shower had a steady stream of water dripping constantly and the floor and corner molding in the small shower were worn with black marks. No fridge, microwave, hair dryer, clock radio in the room. The noise in the hallway at all hours of the night was disturbing although I understand that’s not the hotel’s fault. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel cafe. Food was good and reasonable priced, but the wait to get the food was ridiculous. We went for breakfast at 5:30am with only 3 tables and a total of 5 people including us and we had to wait 40 minutes to get scrambled eggs and toast. Unbelievable. The gentleman next to us was about to walk out. Needless to say we will not be staying here again nor will we ever recommend this hotel to friends.
