We stayed three nights. Upon arrival to our room # 314, we noticed the following:
1. There was leftovers in our refrigerator. Two sandwiches.
2. There were no coffee cups for the complimentary coffee in the room.
3. There was no body wash (soap) in the shower. The container was empty.
4. No one provided fresh towels during our 3 day stay.
5. The second day of our stay the toilet would not flush.
All of the items were mentioned to the staff who were very nice and listened to our complaints BUT nothing was done. NOTHING I repeat NOTHING WAS DONE to correct these issues. Extremely disappointed. Never again!

Busy weekend in Kalamazoo and they only had one person working the front desk. Had a line out the door. The manager came out to help with something, helped then disappeared.
Lobby was busy, person at the counter kept interrupting check ins to ring people up for drinks and snacks. Rather then finishing with the person who was there first.
Elevator was out of service. Stairs are only available by accessing outdoors.

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel for work. What a difference a week makes?! This time around, the best attribute was the bistro, which was hospitable and pleasant. The food was okay, but the kind hospitality made the experience better. As for the room, there were so many disappointments.
When my daughter and I initially entered the room, it looked like it was recently used as a break room or staff lounge. The small desk was pulled out between both beds with the chair behind it facing the door, a butt dent was noted on the 2nd bed, and a rubber glove was lying on the floor near the window. Since I had to prepare for work, I didn't bother calling front desk. Instead, my daughter and I used our own disinfectant products and sanitized the room to our comfort. Once done, we noticed a sizable beetle in our window. So, I took the critter out using my disinfectant spray and prayed it wasn't accompanied by family/friends. After learning I didn't have to report to work that night, my daughter and I decided to have dinner at the bistro. Her caesar salad was good, but my veggie wrap was okay. It was kind of bland. So, I ate half and decided to store the rest in the refrigerator in our room. Well, the next day, we went out for groceries only to learn the refrigerator has been broken the whole time. However, front desk moved rather quickly to replace it, which was really nice. It's hit or miss with any hotel nowadays. Not a bad spot, just time of day matters with hospitality.

So I took my 15 year old autistic son to holiday inn in Kalamazoo Michigan to go swimming however when I got there I learned that the pool was closed due to technical difficulties so we had to walk across the parking lot to the other holiday inn building and when I got there my key to get in the pool didn’t even work smh and because I went through hotels.com there was nothing they could do for me the staff however was very nice and gave me and my son free breakfast for our last morning there because I booked two night so at the end of the day I’ll never ever book another hotel through this company again

We were greeted at the door upon arrival, very secure atmosphere. All the workers were kind & accommodating. Pool is accessible and check-out is amazingly at NOON!!! We'll be back again.

I choose the hotel because of the Amenities and when I got to the hotel the Amenities were not available. There was no offer for a discount or no apology for the misconception. Other than that hotel was spacious and clean

Front desk clerk was nowhere to be found. Waited about 20 minutes with other guests and finally someone went to the hotel next door and got their front desk clerk to come over. Pool thermostat was broken so the pool was too cold for kids to swim in and thats the only reason we booked a hotel. Elevators were very dirty and one of two available was out of service.

My husband and I stayed one night because of a wedding we were attending in the area. The room was very clean and decorated in a sleek and modern style. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room, as they were not listed in the room amenities. The staff were professional and polite. The bed was comfortable. We were impressed at the number of plug ins and usb ports on the nightstands on both sides of the bed, allowing us to charge all our devices conveniently within reach. No continental breakfast, but that was ok with us, and we didn’t take advantage of the restaurant on site, but it is a nice option for those interested. We would definitely recommend the hotel to others and look forward to staying there again in the future!

Who does fire alarm tests at 1:10am? The first alarm went off at 9pm. I called the front desk (with my cell because the room phone did not work) and was told that they were waiting for the fire department, but there was no fire. At 9:35 I went to the front desk to ask when the fire department would be there because the damn alarm next to my room was still going off. The gal then went into a room behind the front desk and turned it off. Guess the fire department wasn’t coming after all as I was told. The next alarm went off at 1:10am, and fortunately was only going off for two minutes. The THIRD test went off at 7:46am and went on until 8:12am, when I called the front desk AGAIN. I was staying there for business and was completely exhausted all Saturday. Fortunately the fire alarm test that night was only from 8:04-8:05pm that night. The morning of checkout I considered getting a beverage from the “cooler area” in the lobby. Both the cold brew coffee and Diet Coke were past their expiration date. Not the best experience, kids. I’m not sure if the fire department were ever intended to show up, but this didn’t put the best taste in my mouth.

Our stay @ Holiday Inn West was very good. Although there was some confusion about being eligible for a hot breakfast, in general, everything about this visit worked out just fine.

We had to change 4 rooms
First room smell like smoke
Second room had hair in bath tub, no body wash, and what looked to be blood stains. Hallways and elevators not clean and garbage piled up intront of elevator in hallway

I had to knock on staff door to get checked in. The person duty was playing on his iPhone. Was told they have run out of water bottles. Room had no tea bags or creamer. Asked room to be cleaned twice in a 4 day stay and despite the ‘yes’ no one came. The breakfast was minimal and looked sad like from the previous day.

I was disappointed when I came into a very nice room that was unfortunately only halfway cleaned. It looked like the cleaner got disrupted and never came back and finished. My bed was partially stripped but there was no clean sheets or pillow cases. Also, the room was booked for four people and there's only two towels in the bathroom service at the desk was decent. They did bring us up sheets.

Attentive desk staff. Room had no shower curtain. IDK why?!? Called front desk. Front desk attendant brought one right up. Accommodated need for roll away. Room spacious & clean. Lots of extras. Nice.

Only flaw was confusion between Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn located so near each other. Client should be advised of the distinction between these two up front.

We stayed for 8 nights and overall the hotel was great! We did have an issue with cleaning. The check-in card said they would refresh the room daily (trash, towels, etc) with a full cleaning on day 5. Our room was never refreshed and since we had a baby with us we desperately needed the stinky trash removed. I asked the front desk for 2 days in a row to clean the room as we were leaving in the morning and it still never got done. On the second evening I complained to the night manager and he was so wonderful he came up and cleaned the room himself! He even brought our toddler some cookies and juice. My sister and her family stayed in a separate room for a few days while we were there and their room was refreshed daily as stated. I'm not sure why housekeeping avoided our room. We did not have a do not disturb sign on the door. I also do not recommend eating at Toast to Toast. The good was over priced and not good.

Check in was performed in a monotonous mantra. Entire bar, dining room, & kitchen staffed by ONE PERSON. Children allowed to run unattended, no guest directory in room. All in all a disappointing visit where I felt unappreciated as a guest.

Terrible experience and it was not the fault of the hotel. I went to check in and the hotel said the code that hotels.com sent was not correct and I had to wait 1 hour to check in after driving 5 hours. Not happy with the customer service from hotels.com and I will not be using again. Have been a loyal customer for years and was very unhappy with this experience.

I like the hotel. My room was just gross. There were crumbs all over the floor, the fridge and microwave are dirty, there was trash on the floor, and the bathroom was dirty.

We drove 3 hours for a event in the Area I reserved my room 3 months prior to us arriving . when we got there the host stated that the hotel over booked and they gave our room away !! It took me until 12:00 to get a room at a different hotel . I was livid !! Your staff stated they would not charge my card and they did !! Your staff was very unprofessional and need more training!!

First of all I called in advance to assure on selections of rooms together, and arriving late. These two were the only requests. They were not honored. Mathew at front desk, did not give full details of the rooms or explained that once keys are accepted there is NO return. I was refused to get Hilary’s last name as manager. The lady whom answered Tiara was even worst. Will NEVER book with a Holiday Inn again. Shame on me if I do!!!!! BTW This was a one night stay.

We checked in at 3:00pm but the room wasn’t ready and we were told to sit in the lobby until we were called. I went to the front desk after 1-1/2hrs and asked about our room and they finally said that they would
Give us our rooms. If. Once we got in the room there were no towels and we were told that the shower towels were in the dryer! Not acceptable

paid for 6person room received 2 double beds. They had occupied this room with someone else. At 8:30pm had to wait 30mins for re-cleaning. 2 kids slept on the floor. There was a bad ice storm so hotel was very busy, but overbooking
