We had a large group of family stay at this home and would highly recommend it. The layout was great for our group with multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. The view was beautiful, we would have loved to stay longer! Thank you!

This house had everything you could need for a family vacation. We all had space to spread out as well as spaces to enjoy together. Everything was well appointed, stocked and super clean. The host is accommodating and friendly. The home is beautifully decorated and has anything and everything you could need during your stay. We can't wait to come back again soon.

This was our yearly stay at Rumbling Bald resort and this home met all our expectations and more. Beautiful home on the water and being inside the resorts gates, gave us access to all the resort had to offer. This home is fully stocked with all you need for your stay. My family would highly recommend it if your are looking for a great mountain retreat.

Great Lake experience! Fun on island mat! Paddle boards and kayak gave us lots of activities to keep us busy in the water. Had to limit items on small dock.
House was well equipped and host was quick to accommodate concerns. Bring ear plugs and white noise machine for noise levels when sleeping.

We had a lovely time in this well-laid out home with great attention to detail and lots of space on the quiet and beautiful Bald Mountain Lake. The Sonos and resort access were much appreciated.
Just a couple minor comments:the rattan dining chairs need replacing and you need to check the BBQ grease collector before using. Ashley has a busy family life and was helpfully responsive as time allowed.

Despite quite a bit of rain, we had the most wonderful time at this glorious house. It's not easy to find a house with 6 bedrooms for a large family reunion! The house is so beautiful and well stocked with everything you need and more for the lake and food prep! The leap frog lake pad was a huge hit with everyone! We are already dreaming of coming again!

This is a great house to stay with family! It’s very beautiful inside and yet comfortable. From the covered decks, it has a wonderful view of the mountains and lake. It’s large and really well stocked with kitchen needs, gas grill, paddle boards, float pad, and life vests. It’s right on the lake with quick access to the Rumbling Bald beach, pools, tennis courts, golf and miniature golf. Our family ranked it #1 of all the spots we have ever rented! We’re definitely planning to return!

This house is perfectly close to action, and yet very private. House is great for large family get togethers with lots of room and activities for all to enjoy.

It had everything you could think of! One family member is a chef and was impressed by the variety of supplies he had to prepare his dishes. We had ages 1-63 and everyone had a splendid time despite somewhat crummy weather Memorial Day weekend. It was clean, well stocked and in a beautiful serene location.
I would not hesitate to book - incredible value for 6 bedrooms - all en suites.

We returned to Ashley’s place for our second time and have once again had such a wonderful time, making such special memories. This lake house has everything you need for a getaway and is an excellent location being right on the lake! We have already booked for next year!

Our family stayed in the house for 5 nights and enjoyed every second of it. The pictures online are beautiful and in person this house is just as nice. It was clean, rooms were spacious and it was equipped with everything we needed. The kids spent much of the time fishing (rods are there even thought we brought our own) and swimming in the lake and using the aqualily mat (life jackets are there too). We loved all the outdoor deck space that overlooked the lake and made it easy for the older adults to watch what was going on without having to go down the steps to the doc. We also enjoyed using the indoor pool and playground within the resort. It was an easy day trip to Asheville (about an hour drive) and another trip to Chimney Rock (about 30 minutes). There was also a nice hike to do down the street from the house. We had a few questions while we were there and the host was quick to respond and helpful. We would love to come back and stay at the same house next time we come to the area!

I don’t even know where to begin. Spacious house, breath taking views, and everything you need is right at the house. I rented this house for 3 days with 12 other ppl for a wedding happening in the area. The house was huge, up to date, and full of amenities. From the moment we got there to the moment we left everyone was satisfied. Ashley (owner) also made the process very smooth for us. Was able to secure us an earlier check-in & responded quickly to any questions we might have had. If you’re ever in Lake Lure this is the place you want to stay!!!

Five kids now grown with spouses stayed at this gorgeous property. The views were lovely on both porches and the service in the lodge supported my brother well. He’d had a stroke so stairs were troublesome and Lake Lure has a full bedroom on the main floor. The quiet outdoors was most appreciated!

Great house and overall outstanding experience for our whole family of 16. Elevation change from parking to the house was a bit more challenging than anticipated but workable. Great setting and instructions by manager very thorough.

We had a great time visiting the Lake House. The accommodations were perfect for the 13 of us. Even though Tropical Storm Nicole came through and it rained all day on one of our days ... we didn't mind hanging around soaking in the beauty of the house and having great family conversations. We did get in a day of golf at Apple Valley and time in the quaint little town of Chimney Rock. We also took a little time to paddle around the lake on the paddle boards and boat. The access provided to the indoor pool, sauna, basketball courts, etc. was a great added bonus. A simply Beautiful house with great attention to detail. And, the kitchen and outdoor sitting areas are amazing!!

Loved this house for our family vacation there was 11 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. The facilities are impeccable. The kitchen is amazing. We had so much fun. The view was absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend it.

Had a great long weekend stay at 342 W. Lake with 11 friends for a girls' weekend. The location was gorgeous, on a peaceful lake in the Rumbling Bald resort. The house was updated, clean and well-equipped with lots of things to do like fishing off the dock or paddleboarding. Big TV's in most rooms and on the outside deck and an indoor fireplace for evening fires! The kitchen had everything we needed including an awesome coffee/cocktail bar and an ice maker! Everyone in my group reported that the beds were comfy. Ashley was great to deal with and very responsive to questions. The only suggestion I would make would be to replace the rattan chairs at the dining room table - they have seen better days. Note that the incline to get into the house is steeper than it looks in the pictures! Navigating down a set of stairs or a steep ramp is required (after all, it is the mountains!) Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect setting for our sorority reunion. Ample space for the 10 of us. Beautiful home with fabulous views of the lake and mountains. Very peaceful and quiet sitting out on the deck. Had a wonderful time. Thank you Ashley!

This place was perfect for multiple families. The rooms are all big with their own bathrooms. The lake and all the lake supplies were perfect! We had a blast and hope to rent again in the future.

The photos of this house don’t do it justice. It is spacious, comfortable and flawlessly well appointed. The hosts have thought of everything. Thank you so much for a perfect stay!

We had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and beautiful in design and furnishings. Special attention was given by the owner to families with young children with quality toys, games, and books.

The house worked well for our family of 9, and Ashley is a gracious host. The family room, kitchen and large dining table were perfect for family meals and games. The house is modern and well equipped. Access to the house and to the lake were challenging for two members of our family, but they enjoyed the views from the family room and deck overlooking the lake and Bald Mountain. Guests who like to sleep may want to sleep on the top floor as it may be quieter. Guests sleeping in the king bedroom under the kitchen could hear footsteps and talking.
Having activities, such as golf, miniature golf, boating, hiking, and kayaking, at Rumbling Bald Resort was wonderful.. We created lasting memories in this lovely house!

I titled it as a homer because it was so well equipped. I couldn't think of anything else to stock the house with, it was complete!
One small issue was the cleanliness of the boats, pad, etc., at the dock. I think there needs to be a way to clean these items available as they get quite dirty. Otherwise it was a great rental

We are an extended family of 12 always looking for a summer vacation that allows fun for the young adults (18-22) and a peaceful retreat for the rest of us. This house and location was a great fit. The three-level house is impeccably maintained. The six bedrooms easily accommodated our family, and the best part was the two bed, two bathrooms on the lower level that the young adults could retreat to (and thus, stay up late and sleep in without bothering us). They even had their own outside furnished deck. This level also has an extra refrigerator which was put to good use!
The double oven and two dishwashers came in handy as we are a family of cooks. While there was plenty of inside eating (large dining room table and kitchen counter with bar stools), we usually ate our meals on the main covered deck (with a ceiling fan) with the view of the lake.
Each bedroom had ceiling fans, hangers in the closet and a laundry basket to boot. Plenty of towels for daily use.
We quickly got use to the steps to the dock and spent many hours in the water - the house water toys were put to use! We loved that the Rumbling Bald area did NOT allow motorized craft/jet skis. It made swimming, fishing, and kayaking incredibly safe and enjoyable. NO NOISE except for the wildlife! If you want to enjoy a pontoon boat or other activity, just go to the other end of the resort and rent them. We were having so much fun at the house and the lake that we didn't even take advantage of the fitness club, tennis, swimming pools, etc that this house offers.
Just know that you are in the mountains and on a lake so that something that is 20 miles away, will take 45-60 minutes to drive to due to terrain.
While sitting on the lake side deck, people on the water would comment on the beauty of the house and the gorgeous landscaping.
The house is plenty roomy with lots of windows with wonderful lake views. The owner was incredibly responsive and accommodating.
We loved our vacation here and highly recommend this house.

Three generations with the older 75 and the youngest 5. This house was perfect for mealtime, whether prepping or eating all together at the large table. Beautiful views to wake up to. By far, the lake and accessories (which include floating mat, two kayaks, a paddle board and small fishing boat, not to mention life vests of all sizes and floaties) made this stay fabulous. The grandkids loved feeding the ducks and geese every morning and evening. This was a great hit for all the family. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We also had a wonderful time playing golf. Beautiful courses full of challenge. Awesome!! I highly recommend this property.

This property was perfect for our family of 13 ranging from grandparents to grandkids. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable, enjoy meals together and best of all, be on the water!! The kids and adults LOVED all of the water toys and spent hours playing on the dock. We plan to come back in the future!

Our family of 14 vacations together every summer, and all agreed this was the best house we ever stayed in. It was clean, well stocked, and spacious. We had room to spread out yet places to gather. The kitchen was big enough for all of us, and it was nice having two dish washers and an ice maker. We ate all our meals together on the porch and the adults, especially, enjoyed morning coffee there watching the lake come to life. Everyone enjoyed the lake and the paddleboards and float were great entertainment. There were even a few fish caught. All in all, a big thank you to the owners for all the special touches that made our stay so memorable . . . everything from labeled light switches to towels for the lake. I wish I were back there now!

We stayed at this property the week of our wedding and it was nothing short of amazing. The quality and accents in each place of the house made the experience that much greater. We had a couple questions at check in and the host responded quickly which placed us ease. We will most definitely be coming back to enjoy this beautiful place!

We had 4 families all meet up to celebrate a long weekend for spring break. The view was amazing, the house had all of the things we needed to relax and make meals, and there was plenty of space. We especially liked the boat and kayaks and the speaker system where we could play our playlists throughout the house. The only cons we could come up with is that the noise Carries through the wood floors, so the families on the first floor struggled with sleeping in, and some of us didn’t find the beds comfortable (but we all know that is just hit or miss depending on preference). The house is beautiful and we would love to visit when the lake was warmer for swimming.
