The hotel itself is very nicely appointed. We liked the rooms (bunk beds were a hit with the kids) and the cozy interior spaces to relax and enjoy a drink/food after skiing. The food was great. While the location isn't quite as convenient to the main area of the ski runs, you can reach them via the lifts right outside so that is very convenient if you have a lot of time.
In general, the front desk staff didn't go out of their way to help with the ski info - we either got wrong information (about the shuttle, for instance) or we had to do some extra work to figure it out by ourselves (which is generally fine, but not necessarily what I expect for the level of service of this hotel given its star rating and that it's a ski resort to begin with).

Delicious Swedish breakfast, comfortable rooms, perfect location. Spa and relax zone is really nice, the lounge / bar is very cosy and outstanding. We also went winter hiking, the maps / information were so-so as most guests come for the (alpine) skiing.
First approaches to save water are available (change towels less often, etc.), but a greater focus on sustainability would still be desirable. (e.g. more vegetarian food in the restaurant, no minibar in the room; no decorative gas fire in front of the hotel)

We travel a lot and this was one of our best accomodation experiences ever! The mountain lodge decor and cozy size of only 50 rooms was the perfect balance of convience without over crowding. I was a bit hesitant reserving because all other accomodations seemed managed by SkiStar. This turned out to be no inconvience at all. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and the location was perfect. There are a few restautant and ski shop choices, ice skating, and ski lifts right outside the front door. There is a bus stop at the Concept Store in front of the hotel, but the bus timing was unreliable after a 35cm dump of snow. Plenty of taxis were available if you were carless.
Ski storage lockers were also provided to save valuable room space. The family room with loft was brilliant but it would have been nice to have a bit more space. Our only critiquie was if the master bed was upstairs and a bunk with couch on the main floor would make better use of the space. Being able to pull the car up to the back of rooms 112-115 was a great convience. The restuarant was fantastic. Breakfast was way more than the typical European meat and cheese. It met American standards of satisfaction with waffle maker, eggs and bacon.

Skiing straight from the hotel. Excellent service in the reception and restaurant. Relaxing in the spa.
The bar closed on the first night we were there which was a shame as they had an excellent gin collection. It would be nice to have a mixed sauna option, the spa is really well decorated and very relaxing, it would be nice to be able to sauna together. Tea making in the room would be nice.
