We were upgraded to a suite which was quite a surprise! We also felt that the whole hotel has been freshly remodeled with a nice style.

nothing
Room 231 wouldn’t lock missing back panel for key card locking part on door
Room 227 smelled of weed (I have an 8 year old and I'm allergic to weed the smell gives me a major headache)
The manager told me “i get what i pay for”
My fiancé's mom and dad saw the manager going into at least 6 peoples rooms while they weren't in them kicked in 1 door and said that whole place was booked when I asked for a different room even tho it was near empty.
Managers name is Kevin.

Free toiletries and the price was the best in the area.
This was the second time we stayed here. We came back in April and had a very poor time but we decided to give them a second chance and I regret it. Certain things are to be expected for the price, basic beds and bedding. Traffic noises, no breakfast being served due to
Covid.
However there are basics that are expected that are not being met at this location. The AC does not work at all! It’s way too hot. When we tried to make it work we discovered the vents were caked in dust. My husband took a brush to it and knocked off a large amount but it still didn’t work (one doesn’t expect to pay to do maintenance when they rent a hotel room). They put fans in the room but they were obviously attempting to save money with those because they were not very powerful and the wind doesn’t reach the beds unless moved very very close. We tried to open the windows but there were no screens.
During our stay in April the shower knob was loose and made it next to impossible to get the water temperature correct we figured it was just that room but we had a different room this time with a knob that was righted correctly and it was still very very difficult to find the correct temperature.
I’m aware that the world is understaffed and it is possible that there are less housekeeping staff than normal but the rooms need more attention between guests than they are getting. The AC vent was the only thing that was pretty dirty. Under the bed has not had a lot of attention, as well as spiderwebs under the sink.
Lastly they could benefit with more regular pest control. There were large bugs in the restroom.

The location is about mid-way from San Diego to San Francisco. This gives us a break from having to drive 9 hours straight.
The hotel is under going some renovation and the room is obvious not ready to accept guest. The smoke detactor was loose from the ceiling, the mirror in the bathroom was also loose. The room was not clean, bed not comfortable. Power in the room was turn off when we check in, the staff came to the room and then went to check the main source. This took about 15 minutes.

Convenience
Unfortunately, it looks ran down and most of the rooms from the outside look dirty. Actually the hotel is very dirty, ran down and has people living in rooms even though I asked if it is a residential motel and told no, just travelers but you can tell different. I drove around the motel and in the back is even more ran down.
Walls are thin, you can hear everything the person is saying and doing next door.
Obviously the noise is there because of where it is located so expect traffic with big trucks.
Convenient for food and gas
The room was dirty, especially the bathroom floor. It has a huge stain on the floor behind the toilet. If you need extra towels ask before you go to the room. Toilet seat was crooked and needed repair.
The air condition only goes so high so be ready to not increase it more than what it has, Which high is not that cool .
No phone in the room, even though we have cell phones it is nice for those people that don't have one to be able to call if help is needed.
Not many channels on T.V even though we were there to sleep.
As for the beds, not bad but the sheets fit small and pull off easily.
For the price , you get what you get.

The facility was clean, both inside the room and outside, including the parking lot and the pool.
The TV reception was very poor, and few channels were available. This should be easy to fix.

Price. Bed was clean and comfortable.
Freeway noise. Motorcycles parked outside their room doors which were diagonal to our room. They started and idled the motorcycles for at least 15 minutes before 6am. Rooms did need maintenance. Air conditioner blew air but did not seem to cool. And the vent was very dusty. Refrigerator had puddle on water on bottom shelf.
4.0
Larger mini fridge and microwave in the room and shampoo conditioner body lotion
All locks were loose. Temperature control was pointless. Shower knob was loose very hard to manage water temperature. Hair dryer provided and a fixed to bathroom wall with no outlets in bathroom at all to plug it into. Could use a desk or extra chair to put suitcases/ clothes on everything had to be on the floor.

The room location was good, and the hotel is close to things you need when traveling.
The listing said that the room would have four queen beds, but it fact it had four double beds. That still worked for us, but it was not what we expected and people should know that the listing is not correct. Other than that, the room was okay.
