Nice hotel exceptionally comfy bed and good location

Breakfast was in a brown paper bag and no coffee!! Was rly shocked never stayed at a decent hotel and not had coffee. I also don’t eat meat and specified no meat but got ham anyways. I also don’t eat gluten and couldn’t rly get anything but a tiny fruit salad. I do understand I eat limited but it’s much easier to go and help yourself and far far less wasteful. The whole breakfast in a bag thing just isn’t to my liking at all and ruined the stay and means I dropped my score a lot, at the price point you would expect a decent breakfast if it’s offered. I would rather come down and choose i just thought it was very wasteful and to not have a coffee and only a packet of instant in the room was something Ive never experienced before at a decent hotel. At least it’s located a few minutes from places to get a nice coffee like the honey pot I would recommend or 45 queen street. I didn’t find the staff that friendly either, they are quite short and blunt, I’m surprised that it was advertised as being somewhat Buddhist because I felt that asking any questions or being asked something was very blunt and impersonal.

Not a lot with the hotel

The bed was so uncomfortable. We were disappointed all around We paid a lot of money. The breakfast was a joke The manager wanted to show people around the room while all our personal gear was in the room. We left 2 days early because we had so much back pain DISAPPOINTED

Relaxing place to stay, like visiting your nans house

Nice spot, just out of town in a quiet neighbourhood but still in easy walking distance of the front and the town centre. The hotel is a beautiful old house all decorated in a cool old style. Breakfast was really great too!

Nice but only once

The Victorian style of the house and room was fantastic. The room was maybe a little too full for it's surface. Nice and fresh delivered breakfast every morning

The beds were winkling/ not stable. We missed a small table in the room to enjoy our breakfast. Estoril is mentioned as a hotel but there are no opportunities for a diner or a drink so is more a Bed & Breakfast

Had a great time in Penzance and the guest house was a lovely place to stay.

Quirky & likeable interior. Central, good location. Outside seating area was very pretty.

Beds to soft for us. Second staircase was steep and kinda scary. Entrance to property being tiled, looks lovely but when wet it’s a hazard. Sign is appreciated but walking on it felt risky.

we had a relaxing break before we moved on to our regular holiday on the Isles of Scilly

it had character and was close to the sea and the town centre. also the Museum and Art Gallery and subtropical gardens.

Great place to stay for one night while passing through Penzance

Location was perfect. Room very clean and comfortable. breakfast delivered to room in morning was good.

no problems encountered. Parking appeared to be limited, tho we did get a space off Road.

Picturesque, peaceful, good value BB on Morrab Road

There is a beautiful, peaceful garden in which to relax on the property. The room was large, with a window that looked out over the roofs to the sea. The owners were wonderful about helping with a cab when none came. The bed was very comfy. There was an electric kettle. It was centrally located and easy to get to most places.

I wish I had known just how steep the stairs were to the 3rd floor where my room was. I am not sure I would have booked it had I known. And I was surprised that there was naught but powered coffee and breakfast items that could be purchased at the grocery for the breakfast. Still. It was good and it was included.

Very clean and comfortable, let down by shower.

Well presented, near to the beach. Very clean and a decent system to be able to check in any time.

The shower head in our room (8) was missing it’s rubber ‘nozzles’ leaving the plastic head with large holes in it, this resulted in the shower being very under pressured and most of the water running back down the head/hose. this could be remedied with a simple change of the shower head. Also parking is very limited, though with a little investigation there is a reasonably priced car park within a short walk.

Lovely quiet location but very limited facilities. The lady owner was friendly.

The location was lovely and quiet.

The breakfast was awful. Still has to be in the room, not yet opened the restaurant. A brown paper bag was left outside the door at 8am. It had to be 8am and there is a limit of five items per person. This includes milk for cereal and a roll for a bacon and scrambled egg sandwich. No tea or coffee with breakfast, you make that yourself in the room. VERY limited and on a strict timetable. The TV in the room only has one channel, BBC1. Not much point in it being there. I watched Netflix on my phone.

The care we were shown on our holiday was amazing. The facilities were warm and welcoming. A very relaxing atmosphere. My family felt really looked after through the kind efforts made. Definitely would go back there

Good value, enjoyed my visit and I would stay here again

I booked the single room as I was travelling alone and the room had everything I expected and was of a high standard of cleanliness. It is up a steep staircase, but I was aware of that from previous reviews and it wasn't that much of an issue as there is a handrail. The view from the room was also better than expected as I could clearly see the sea over the rooftops. It was very quiet at night, being in a road off of the sea front and I slept very well. I would stay here again.

The room was a little bit dated but very clean and the decor throughout the communal areas is quite individual and what I would say quirky but this makes it a memorable B&B.

Beautiful little garden and lots of Victorian features. Room made up every day.

Breakfast not served in restaurant but delivered in bags to room. Would have preferred the buffet.

Lovely location lovely house, would I stay again? Maybe.

Great location, lovely house, great room but it wasn’t cheap (supply Vs demand I guess) but while the breakfast was good, but as a takeaway bag wasn’t what I’d hoped for, restaurants are serving hot food so why not B&Bs? I also enjoy a coffee with breakfast and only instant sachets were provided.

Great location for the town and beautiful garden entrance. Little dissapoined with Penzance

I though the garden area was beautfull. Shower was great. Location was very central to everything

Room was very hot and no access to a fan. Toilet in Bathroom very tight to bath. Breakfast was very disappointing. Especially bacon and egg ? egg was scrambled and cold.

Room was inviting and clean. Great sea view and comfy bed. Located close to shops and promenade.

Breakfast in the bedroom. Barely any contact with the owners. Two steep flights of stairs to get to room.

Ask if you have a attic room and decide if you up to the ascent!?

Car parking for 3 cars was down a tight alley ok for us because we had a small car but a bigger car wouldn't fit in the space provided. The attic rooms (ours was room 8) were up very steep narrow stairs which for a person with poor knees, hips or back it would be very difficult to get to your room. I would suggest the Hotel contact the person who booked a room about the steep attic stairs if allocated these rooms? We stayed in 4 different Hotels on our trip around Cornwall and the Estoril was the only one bringing cold breakfast (bacon, egg sandwiches) to your room, all the other Hotels had the usual hot buffet breakfast.

Miserable experience. We were not impressed with Penzance.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. The room was tiny, but it was the bathroom that was frustrating. The toilet rocked when you sat on it and it was difficult for my husband to get up and down. He couldn't use his walking frame in there for support, and his crutch slipped when he put it down on cracked tiles. The room was advertised as suitable for someone with mobility issues, but it was not. Parking was an issue, although we managed to secure one. We left a few days early as we were so unhappy.

It had a very Alice and wonderland theme. Especially with the grand father clock ticking as we entered.
