About this house rental
Nestled in Edale, this attractive house for R 9,091 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Belmont House is a fine Edwardian country house in the heart of Edale, in the Peak District National Park. It has recently received a complete 5 star renovation providing high class facilities throughout. There are six bedrooms that offer flexible family accommodation; bedrooms can be organised with a range of Superking or Twin options. Four are en-suite plus additional 3 bathrooms. The main sitting room has a period style woodburner set in an ornate, Jacobean fire place; comfortable seating on two large sofa's plus a Chaisse Longue and comfy chairs surround the state of the art 42 inch flat screen TV. A wide selection of traditional board games and DVDs are provided. The second sitting room / morning room opens onto the kitchen where a pre-WWII propeller sits above the wood burning stove, there is a large sofa, chairs and an extendable oak table. The dining room has a large antique oak table and also a smaller table in the bay window, this allows families to all dine together on locally fired, Denby crockery. The recently installed farmhouse kitchen contains everything that you may need including a gas fired five burner, double oven range cooker, double width catering eye level grill, microwave, double drainer Belfast sink for meat and vegetable preparation, additional double sink for washing up, dishwasher, large drum washing machine and large American style fridge freezer. In terms of pots / pans / bowls / utensils etc.. everything you may need (within reason!!) is provided. Or a local caterer can be arranged to provide meals for you. There are also 2 pubs and 2 cafes serving food in the village. The grounds feature a mature garden full of visiting birds including our friendly woodpecker, both a sheltered patio and a large barbeque area offering amazing views of the surrounding peaks. There is ample off road parking. Travel cot and high chair available. The perfect setting to relax and enjoy stunning scenery and luxury together. Edale is located in the centre of the Peak District National Park and is a perfect base for outdoor activities such as walking, mountain biking, climbing; or to explore the historic castles, villages and stately homes. Belmont House is the perfect country retreat.

A well equipt house in a beautiful location.

We had a great time at the house in Edale. It was large and comfortable, giving our group plenty of space. The kitchen is large and well equipped and there is a large garden also. We were unlucky with the weather but the house was nice to stay in when it rained and close enough to good local walks to get out when we could.

We were visiting the Peak District with 3 other couples all on motorcycles. The house was great for our group and the village was wonderful. We were well placed to visit the area and the village has pubs and cafes which was great. Communication with the property owner wasn’t ideal but was fine in the end

A very spacious house with large rooms. Our group were artists and had plenty of space to paint indoors in the dining room after morning walks in the area.
The kitchen is very well appointed with every gadget you could need.
The beds are very comfortable with crisp cotton sheets and the bedrooms have light airy windows. Adequate parking. Garden very nice.

Five star property!
This is by far the nicest and best equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in. Better than home in many ways. Communication was friendly, very helpful and prompt. The location is perfect for walking and biking - Edale is a stunning location and the house perfect for large groups.

Great place for a big group in the wonderful setting of the Peak district
We had a lovely week here with family and friends - the house was always warm, comfortable and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The Wheatley Family
A most enjoyable stay. The house worked well for all of us and the bedrooms were very good. The location was excellent and it was a delight to leave the cars at the house the whole time. Morgan was most helpful and obliging. It is quite possible we will try to make a return visit.

Family Gathering
My family traveled from the US for holiday. The place was really lovely, plenty of bedrooms & baths, great location, grounds were very nice, kitchen was so nice to cook in, the double sinks worked really well with multiple people working at once. The owner was most accommodating. No problems at all.

Wonderful place to stay with family and friends
I really cannot fault this house. Morgan the owner went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The house itself is really well furnished and has all the crockery etc you'd need for a large group. A few times over the weekend we commented on how it had the feel more of a home than a holiday rental, the quality of everything was to such a high standard. The toy selection was also a really nice touch and kept toddlers in our group entertained when the rain arrived. The setting is breathtaking and the grounds of the house are very well maintained with a beautiful back garden. I couldn't recommend this place enough and we're already talking about coming back next year!

A very enjoyable stay
Spacious, comfortable house, with a nice blend of character and mod cons, in a lovely setting in Edale village. Our party of 12 older adults had a lovely stay, and found the house (and its garden) a fine choice for our needs, with the sole exception that the eaves bedroom (5) lacked the headroom and facilities for adults.

Reunion in Edale
Wonderful reunion with old friends at Belmont House. It made a perfect place for us all to meet and enjoy, lots of space ... we were only 9 people so could spread out. Very well equipped for all our needs. Thanks Morgan, hope to do this again.

Fabulous house, brilliant location, and perfectly sized and equipped for our large family celebration of our grandma's 90th.
Cannot fault the landlord who helped us with every query and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful weekend.

A wonderful house for 3 families to share
A beautifully maintained house. Lots of space inside for friends to spend time together, but also have our own space! Brilliant location, near the start of many popular walks. The back garden was great for the 6 kids we brought with us. Wonderful views of the hills. Comfortable beds. Well-equipped kitchen. A HUGE grill, big enough to cook for 16 (though remember it needs washing afterwards ;) ) Everybody enjoyed the log burner and some also enjoyed chopping wood in the back garden too! Morgan lives close by and always able to answer questions. As everybody else notes, the welcome chocolate cake was great...and lasted until at least Monday!

Brilliant, stayed for 3 nights with seven female friends, very warm and comfortable
Fabulous stay in this lovely house, situated in a beautiful area of the Peak District. House was clean, warm, very well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. We were able to do several walks direct from the property. We sampled tea and cake in the cafe and had two meals in the Rambler Inn. Both offered good quality reasonably priced food with great, friendly service.

Absolutely Fabulous!!
My family, friends and I rented Belmont House as part of my 50th weekend party activities, we held a 50's do in the Old Winery next door. I really couldn't have found anywhere better. Fully equipped, top standard, beautiful venue, wonderful location and Morgan was so helpful and flexible. I loved it and would recommend to anyone. My friends are still talking about it... It was a very special place to celebrate in style!

Belmont House 'does exactly what it says on the tin.'
The house and all facilities were brilliant. There were 12 in the party, and that was how it felt for the six nights we stayed. The Location was perfect for exploring the whole of the area. We walked, visited local towns, and villiages, and had some great weather.Most evenings were spent in the house with roaring log fires in the woodburners, and plenty of good food, and drink. All members of the group, who had not been to the Peak District before, vowed to return. We were sold.

A really enjoyable experience. The owner ensured everything was perfect for our stay, including a homemade chocolate cake on arrival! We'd recommend to others staying with a party of friends
