The best memories

The room was clean, comfortable, quite a good size. Friendly staff. Very tasty food, at the same time appropriate for the price. If I come back, I would gladly choose the same apartment

Little piece of friendly island paradise

Absolutely loved our stay here and would go back. This place is a little piece of paradise, beautiful quiet beach with lots of privacy. Staff are super friendly and make you feel at home. Bungalows are well made and spacious. We loved just relaxing on the balcony to that amazing view. They are mostly but not completely sealed to the outside (part of their charm!) and the resort is surrounded in nature so you have to expect a few bugs/ants and if you're lucky a gecko or two. Food here is fantastic. The kitchen is only staffed for regular meal hours hours but it is well worth the wait. If you need something off-hours there are a couple of other places nearby. Bring enough cash to the island, no ATM machines etc. Electricity is off during the mid day and no hot water here (not needed imo). We were sorry we didn't book a longtail back to the mainland from this place! Didn't know they had boats but yes they do so if you need to get around, you can book that here.

Schöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage

Die Besitzerin sowie das gesamte Personal sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an einem schönen leeren Strand. In der Unterkunft gibt es den ganzen Tag über eine große Auswahl an leckerem und günstigen Essen. Der Bungalow ist sehr groß und gemütlich.

Der letzte Teil der Straße, welche zur Unterkunft führt, ist für Rollerfahrer eine Zumutung. Zudem sollten die Treppenstufen der einzelnen Bungalows verbessert werden, da dort eine Verletzungsgefahr besteht. In der Unterkunft gibt es keinen Zimmerservice und nur ein großes Handtuch pro Person.

Einfach traumhaft

Leider kann man keine 11 vergeben. Die Familie des Kohjum Relax Beach ist super lieb. Der Strand direkt an den Bungalows (näher kann man wohl kaum am Strand wohnen…) einfach wunderschön und menschenleer. Die Bungalows sind traumhaft, alles da was man braucht, für thailändische Verhältnisse sehr bequeme Betten. Das Essen im Restaurant sehr sehr lecker (hier haben wie sogar den besten Cheeseburger jemals gegessen!) und preiswert. Es gibt auch allerlei Spielzeug für die Kinder für den Strand, vor jedem Bungalow eine kleine Dusche zum abduschen der sandigen Füße. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir wären gern viiieeel länger geblieben! PS: Thank you for all the beers 😋

Ottimo relax

Posto incantevole, tranquillo, bungalow grande, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Siamo stati molto bene.

Unica pecca il bagno che si allaga quando si fa la doccia dato che l’acqua non ha modo di scolare (almeno nel nostro bungalow) creando praticamente una piscina. Lavandino otturato.

The perfect secluded beach getaway

My Family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ko Jum Relax Beach Resort. The location was amazing, a small secluded beach and a spacious family room overlooking the sea. The staff was wonderful and they made us feel right at home.

The only thing to take into consideration is that the accommodations are quite basic which in my opinion adds to the charm but might not be for everyone.

Great place

Great place run and built by a kind, local family. Totally peaceful location, really tasty local cuisine at the restaurant. Six bungalows, all well built and situated, temperatures never too high despite no AC. Large terraces, easy for setting up hammocks. Place looks even better live than on the pictures. Convenient access everywhere on the island with a scooter. Free kayaks available, fun alternative means of reaching the adjoining beach up north. Best stay on our trip.

Fantastiskt om man gillar lugn och ro, god mat, enkelhet som Thailand förr i tiden.

Fantastisk mat. Enkel frukost som ingår men finns mer att köpa. Lugnt och fridfullt. Nära stranden. Den trevliga och hjälpsamma personalen, familjärt. Kul att apor fanns:) även om de knyckte mat !

Kanske inte bra om man är lite rörelsehindrad, äldre… tex brant backe ner till resorten och höga trappsteg till bungalow. Svårt gå till centrum. Väldigt enkel standard, bara kallvatten i duschen. Man måste be/ fråga allt, tex städning och toapapper mm men allt ordnades när man frågade. Cocktail fanns ej, bara öl.

Ikke et sted, hvor det er godt at tage en baby med.

Hotellet ligger i flotte omgivelser, og ejerne og de ansatte var utrolig søde og hjælpsomme. God mad!

Det var meget spartansk og øde placeret. Der kom en rotte på vores værelse på anden nat, som gik i maden, vi havde med til vores baby. Derfor rejste vi der fra før tid.

the staff was so incredible and friendly and made me feel like family. the property itself was very beautiful too just a bit difficult to get to and very secluded so come prepared not to leave once arriving

bungalow right on the beach with a big terrace. great when you are traveling with small kids. Great mango lassies in the restaurant. the best resort on this small bay.

we missed a mini fridge for cold water , but minor detail.

Poor

The photos of the room do not match the photos posted on the website. I wanted a sea view bungalow, but in fact there was no sea view. The only amenities are a fan and an outlet. Room cleaning only once every three days. No hot water, no air conditioning, no room cleaning, no refrigerator

This report has to be read with 3 years Covid and its repurcusions to the tourist industry in Asia, in mind. The resort is coming back to life after Covid. A new bungalow is being built and boilers for hot showers will be installed for example. The bungalows are a bit too expensive. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food is excellent and not average as others have written! The room has to be paid in cash! There is NO ATM on Koh Jum! The next ATM is really on Phi Phi but you can get money with your credit card from a man in a travel agency near Koh Jum pier (the pier to, for example, Koh Lanta)!!!!!

Warm water would have been good, but it's coming after the high season. Go to Magic Beach next door for swimming without rocks.

Perect Location in paradise with everything you need

The staff was very welcoming and the whole time of our stay super friendly. They have an a la carte restaurant and provide food for the whole day. everything we ate was very tasty and the prices complete reasonable and not to expensive. Even you don’t have to move to the city for having breakfast, lunch or dinner. The location is this what we were looking for. Bungalows in the first row at the beach. The beach was quite empty (maximum 10 people at the same time at the beach). Also the area is a good spot for snorkeling. The space in the Bungalows was big, they provide a mosquito net and everything was super clean. We can just highly recommend it if you are looking for relaxing spot on an calm island!

The way to the bungalow is a bit difficult. You have to pass a dirt road. We came by scooter and for us it was ok to ride but if you aren’t used to it, it will be hard. Or while the rainy season it will be very muddy.

Bad

The beach was close.

Stayed 3 days and we had no clean sheets, towels or the room cleaned and we had to buy water daily. There is a big resort next to the Relax boundary with their accommodation right against Relax huts and a big restaurant with constant music. Nobody says that the excess road is dangerous and unfit for scooter hire and the walk down and up to the resort is steep.

Very good

The room was large and had a wardrobe to hang clothes, plus two comfortable chairs inside.

Swimming was only possible when the tide was in (obviously not the fault oh Koh Jum Relax).

Peaceful and Friendly

Location is great if you are not bothered going out late in the evening as the access road is difficult. Sea view or partial sea view is lovely. The accommodation are simple but practical. Don't expect luxury, it's out in the wild, no AC, no hot water. Beach is quiet, and easy to swim into. The chef at the resort restaurant is talented, you will be disappointed if you eat somewhere else. And finally the owners are lovely and friendly and can arrange about anything for you if necessary (birthday party, cocktails and cake)

The running water is quite brown.

Simple, quiet and clean accommodation, super kind and helpful staff, amazing cook

Beautiful, clean beach, no crowds. The family who runs the place and very kind and helpful, always there and available. Ja is an amazing cook, she cooks delicious and light, uses a lot of natural herbs and spices. The bungalows are spread in a nicely kept garden, the beach is right in front of the property, only a few steps to waters' edge. Rooms are spacious and basic, however, you have all the basics you need. They are doing a great job, being open even in such challenging times.

Superb

I was a solo traveller on my first trip to Thailand. This hotel is set in a tranquil and beautiful location on the island. The bungalows are placed on the edge of the forest as it descends into a beautiful beech. I thought I was in heaven when I arrived at the resort. This resort will take your breath away. The accommodation is very rustic but that’s to be expected on such a beautiful and unspoilt island. The bed was really comfortable and the bungalow was enormous inside. I slept beautifully. The bathroom was large, clean and fully functioning. A mosquito net is provided and I didn’t get any bites which great given it’s rural island setting. The owners were amazing and they make most delicious food for guests and also provide breakfast. You can also hire a motorcycle from the resort which I did to explore the island to experience all the amazing beaches and seafood restaurants. The accommodation is great value for money and you will have everything you need. WiFi was not so good in my bungalow on the hill. but WiFi was ok in the resort itself. It’s a shame there was no fridge in the room but this is a rustic island setting. OMG you have to visit koh jum. It’s an Amazing island. The highlight of my trip was snorkelling beside the resort and being woken up to a family of monkeys who live in the forest and came to visit me on the balcony of my bungalow. You really can’t beat that for an experience of a lifetime. Also just to note the owner also sorted all my travel out so I didn’t have to worry about getting back to Phuket airport. Koh Jum was the highlight of my 5 island trip so I definitely will be back to see the monkeys. Thank you both so much for my stay and taking care of me. Bless you both x

Avoid. Not worth even third what it cost. For bed bugs lovers only.

I liked the crabs on the beach. The beach in the morning was covered with crab footprints and you could find them with a flashlight at the evenings. I also liked the resort nearby where I went for a walk. Very nice and clean compered to ours.

Bed bugs. Bed bugs. Bed bugs. Bed bugs problem wasn't solved when we informed about it. We were ignored. Owner told us it was "something else". We showed her another bites next morning she still denied the problem exist. Grey muddy water in the bathroom. At first I thought they use rain water only to flush the toilet but then I filled up the sink and the water was muddy. Only cold water available. No room service for whole stay, meaning sand, leaves on the floor, bed, etc. Gaps in walls, ceiling, floor. Baby size breakfast same every day. They give you two tost and the egg and they cut in half or maybe 3 the regular hotel portion of butter and jam and this is what you get. Bearly enough for one toast. Plus few bits of pineapple. They don't clean their beach like other resorts around. Beach very rocky at low tide. Potlrtions at the restaurant very small and overpriced. We ordered some pasta for our 10 years old son and it wasn't enough for him. He was still hungry. Renting scooter at the resort cost 50% more than elsewhere as owners taking advantage of their place being very difficult to access. We send them a message before we came asking for help to get there and some directions. They never responded. We ended up taking a 3 wheel moto taxi from the port but the driver got us only to the end of the concrete road because he couldn't drive up the hill on the rocky access road to this place. We ended up having to hike for 25 minutes up the hill in the dark with flip flops and with backpacks on our backs. My son being usually tough nearly cried climbing up. Fortunately I had a head lamp with me to light up the "road". At the end of our three night stay when I still complaint on bed bugs the owner took me to our bangalow to show me she can't find any bed bugs on the bed. She took the sheet off and found a thong and gave it to me saying it's my wife's.

If you're looking to find time for yourself it's a good choice

Calm, nice atmosphere and also nice owners. Owners cook fantastic and affordable food! Like 30/40% cheaper than anything around.

In front of our bungalow owners had one being build. So it covered the sea view completely. (Construction in progress) Road to the bungalows very rough. I was bitten by one of the Islands dogs (beware of them, quite few running free) and had to leave for the hospital just after 2 days into our 4 days stay.
