Not good

The staff were very polite!

Stayed in a room below ground ( basement) Had to leave early as we had a medical emergency with elderly parent. It would have been nice to have got a refund even if it was partial. This was flatly refused Really disappointed by this attitude and would not recommend this hotel.

I'd happily stay there again.

The location was good. We walked up hill to the postcard-attractions of Istanbul. The bed was comfy, breakfast was good, coffee was great, the terrace view was awesome. The staff were exceptional!! I don't think I've ever encountered such wonderful hotel staff before. While checking out, we forgot to pick-up our toddler's stroller, which was stored by the reception. I called a few hours later when I remembered (we were hundreds of km away) and they happily kept it for several days until we returned to the city. Really appreciated that.

What I didn't like is not related to the hotel itself. Because it's located in the prime zone, the little shops and markets around the hotel had super charged price for everything. Think bottled water, fruits etc. We couldn't find any major grocery store chain nearby. That was the only downside.

Das Personal war extrem hilfreich und sehr freundlich. Frühstück war auch gut.

Die Schallisolierung könnte besser sein. Man hört die anderen Hotelgäste nachts aufm flur.

Mi-a plăcut faptul ca era foarte aproape de Moschee, ce centru și de Bazar.

Tolle Stadt, tolles Hotel und sehr schönes Osterwochenende

Die Lage ist wirklich optimal. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Altstadt (blaue Moschee, Hagia Sofia, Zisterne, Topkapi Palast) sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Frühstück war sehr gut, frische Gözleme und Honigwaben, echt lecker! Zimmer sauber und geräumig, Bad sehr schön und wir hatten einen niedlichen Balkon, den wir gerne genutzt haben. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit 🤗

Etwas laut, da zentral gelegen… nachts mit offenem Fenster schlafen geht nicht so gut! Zentrale Lage ist aber ja auch ein Vorteil 😁 Die Dachterasse ist zwar sehr schön und geöffnet, mit einem tollen Ausblick. Leider gab es aber in der Zeit, wo wir dort waren, oben keinen Service!

Would probably stay there again if I come back to Istanbul

The location is perfect. 5 minutes to walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful! The hotel interior design is nice, felt like being in a castle :-). Around the corner is a very nice restaurant called Marbella. The food is very good and the owner and staff are beyond amazing!

Very nice hotel with a good location, only a few minutes walking distance from all the main highlits. The hotel was very nice, clean, very good breakfast, but the most important was the great hotel staff, alwasy ready to answer any question and provide tips for reastaurants and places to see...

A wonderful stay complemented by attentive and thoughtful staff

From the initial booking through to welcome on arrival the staff at the hotel were fantastic. Good levels of communication from the beginning and they were all so helpful with tips and advice to help us through our stay. I cannot speak highly enough of the attention throughout and the rooftop bar views and food are exceptional. Thank you all.

Great location and Staff

Room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was exceptional with wide range of options to suit all tastes. The gosleme making demonstration each morning was novel and interesting. The location was fabulous, offering amazing views and proximity to great restaurant options/positioned walking distance to major attractions in the old town and set amongst quaint streets. Staff were very helpful in arranging tours and offering recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing options. They were friendly and spoke very good English. Zafer, Ali and Mehmet were excellent hosts who went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Rooftop bar is a nice touch We would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel, perfect location, amazing staff!

Good hotel, walking distance (5-10 min) to historical attractions, amazing staff, i'm sorry i don't remember the names of all the guys in front desk, they were all very helpfull with infos and tips for a great stay in Istanbul. We book a boat trip with their help and it was the perfect choice. They even negociated for us the taxi far! Thank you all! For sure we'll be back in your hotel!

Superb

Good location and staff helpful. Taxi service to and from the airport arranged by the hotel was at a reasonable cost. Good recommendations were given for places to eat and plans on doing all the touristy things in Istanbul!

Wonderful beds, superb staff and convenient location

The staff was amazing. They were friendly and very service minded. We got the only room on the 8th floor. It was spacious and had a super comfortable bed. Gave the hotel 9 out of 10, only because some of the bedroom fixtures need a bit of TLC but this was absolutely no problem. We would definitely return if travelling back to Istanbul, no doubt about it. Perfect location as well, close to the city center without the noise and hassle of the town. Note that there is no elevator beyond the 4th floor. The friendly staff help carry one’s luggage so that is basically not a problem unless you have mobility issues.

Perfection

Such a comfy, friendly hotel. Very authentic and the staff cannot do enough to help you. Delicious breakfast. Beer on the beautiful rooftop watching the sun set in the Bosphorus was a real highlight. Will definitely return :)

Exceptional

Well the stay in Hotel Amira could not have started better as we got an upgrade and had a large, beautiful room with private terrace overlooking the Bosphorus. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean, breakfast was great with some direct kitchen service but the best was the extremly friendly and helpful staff at the desk, ready for valuable advicing us on restaurants/foods to try and organizing taxies and things to see. Their support made the trip to being something special! Thanks to such a great team!

The location of the hotel is near to public transport. Nearby shops and reataurant. It was a quiet neighborhood. Staff were very friendly and informed about the needs of the guests. Breakfast was good especially the traditional breakfast.

Can be a good stay if you can look past the dated hotel.

Excellent customer service! Staff are very helpful and welcoming. They made my NYE experience feel extra special. Very good breakfast buffet. The hotel is within 10-minute walking distance to all the major attractions of the Old City. There is a farmers market across the street from the hotel on Wednesday that is quite nice.

The hotel itself is not as posh or new as the online photos show. As the matter of fact, it is quite dated. The bathroom needed some major recaulking. Our bath tub was literally peeling away from the wall! I wish the facility was in better condition. Walls are thin. Might be a problem if you're a light sleeper. Showers and hot water were working well. Nevertheless, we had a pretty good stay.

excellent hospitality

location was great. Staff were all very nice and helpfull and speak English well. They try to help in everything. queen bed is a bit small really difficult for 2 people. breakfast was good but not too many variation. family corner room where we were was spacious for 5 people. Hospitality of the staff really excellent. will not hesitate to go back anytime soon.
