Riverside Bungalow near legoland, Windsor, Hot Tub & Sauna. Pet Friendly.
About this house rental
Nestled in Slough, this charming house for R 4,261 per night is a great choice for your next break. Non smoking residence. Beautiful, modern 2 bed bungalow with 100 foot mooring, on the banks of the River Thames. Hot Tub, Sauna, Wi-Fi. 4 miles to Lego-land, Windsor and Eton, 5 miles Thorpe Park, London Eye and Westminster 45 mins by car (18 miles), or hop on the train, walk to Sunnymeads Station. 45mi uses into centre of London. (Waterloo) or 10 minutes to Windsor and Eton. Hot tub and Sauna in garden. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Large Bedroom with King size bed, sleeps 2 adults. Smaller 2nd bedroom has a sofabed that sleeps 2, (it's a 4'6" wide sofabed), similar to a small double bed, suitable for children. There is also a sofabed in the lounge sleeps 2, ( again this folds out to be 4'6" wide). Ideally, for a really good holiday, the house sleeps 4 comfortably. If you are going to be using it mainly as a base to travel and visit tourist hot spots, then 6 might be okay. But if you bring 6 massive suitcases and you have the sofabeds folded out, you're going to be tripping over each other, remember thete are only 2 wardrobes, so travel light. This is suited to Mum, Dad and 2-4 children.

As always, we had a wonderful long weekend at Sharon's river cottage. The weather was hot and sunny so perfect for enjoying the outside space, sunbathing by the river and a prosecco in the hot tub.... Bliss! We will be back soon, many thanks, Lisa, Jane and Jo x

We stayed here for 5 days the location is very quiet with locked gates for more privacy. The host was very informative and left extra touches for kids and adults. Not far from Legoland and Thorpe park so if you've got a Merlin card then don't hesitate to book this gem with hot tub and sauna with loads of quirky items in the house ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Always enjoy my stay. Lots of interesting things to enjoy, inside and out. Love the juke box! and nice and relaxing by the river. I think the planes just served to remind me , I'd got nothing to do, but relax!
Safe and secure if you fancy a solo retreat. Looking forward to my next stay.

We booked this place because it looked and sounded nice.
A place on the river in an area that I knew sounded like just the place for our 2nd honeymoon visiting from the States.
I'm from around Ashford and Staines area so I knew Wraysbury would be a good spot.
For some people, being literally right next to the river would be a bit of a turn off. There would be an abundance of creepy crawlie spiders and bugs.
To be honest, there weren't as many as I thought there would be and what there was didn't bother my wife or myself.
The parking is a bit tight. When they say you are next to the river, they mean RIGHT next to the river!
I would say, if you rent a vehicle, go for smaller one.
We had an MG ZS which is a small to mid size compact SUV. It was plenty big enough and I think anything bigger would have had problems parking.
The property is homely. There are all the conveniences you would need. Washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, cooker, kettle,
There's a good tv with lots to watch for the rainy, or let's just stay in, days (or evenings).
There had been some storm damage that we were warned of. Mother nature is definitely something that the owners can't be berated for!
The owners are very communicative. Any questions you have, they will answer.
The property is next to a railway line and under Heathrow flight paths, but you'd be surprised how fast you get used to them. Don't be put off by them.
I could write more positive words but I'm limited on here.

Absolutely stunning location. As previous reviews have mentionned plenty of cobwebs but we gave it a good hoover when we arrived! Communication with Sharon was amazing, couldn’t have asked for a better host. Left us goodies in the fridge and a chilled bottle of cava. We stayed here to visit legoland and didn’t take long to get there at all. We all loved singing on the karaoke and having a little play on the guitars, my little boy especially loved the piano and asking Alexa to play his favourite songs! The hot tub was amazing, we used it every day. The bathroom did have bad damp, the smell was really strong and did make both myself and my little boy quite poorly, but I know they are having a new roof fitted next month so hopefully this will solve the damp issue! I would definitely return once the damp has been fixed. Perfect location for legoland, we visited the Perseverance pub (great food!) and 2 different harvesters. Co-op nearby also to get your shopping. We were visited by lots of ducks (which my little boy enjoyed feeding on the doorstep!) As previous comments have said yes there’s lots of trains and planes but you soon get used to it, and didn’t keep us up at night. Overall a great property (apart from the damp which is soon to be fixed!)

From the hot tub and sauna, the river view, to the cava and cupcakes left for us by the owner we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The artwork, jukebox and guitars are fascinating. We wanted for nothing. The house is so personal to the owners, and it’s this that makes it so special.
We will definitely be coming again.

Love the place, a bit tricky to park but overall good facility. Host was generous offered a lot of drinks etc. A bit disappointed that the sauna was broken as wife really wanted to use that - one of the reasons we booked.

The spa and sauna make the property. Lovely peaceful view, bar the trains honking and planes.
Needs new bedding and mattress in the main bedroom. The property smells a bit damp, but it is on the river. The wildlife is lovely. Birds singing and heard some wild horses neigh. The host Sharon is good to communicate with. It’s a very welcoming stay. Lost of Prosecco and treats left for us. Parking is tight, but can easily fit two cars alone the rivers edge. About 15 minutes drive to the center of Windsor. A Co-op is located just down the road for convenience. Loved the jukebox and piano. Overall a great stay. Really does need a thorough cleaning. It’s perfect for a family and party, not for a peaceful romantic getaway.

Love this little bolt hole and always leave feeling refreshed. Brought teenagers with us this time and they also thoroughly enjoyed their break. Connections to London and Windsor are great for trips out too.

Had an amazing time at this unique location. The property is lovely with distinctive decor and equipped with everything you need for a break away. The hot tub and sauna were lovely. Very peaceful location and the locals were all very polite. Definitely be returning in the near future and would highly recommend to everyone.

A fantastic base for getting into London (5 minute walk to train station) and attractions (Thorpe Park, Windsor). A bit noisy with the aeroplanes and trains but we got used to that and was really only a base for us. Hot tub was broken so we couldn't use it until late on our second night (only stayed 3!) but appreciated that it did get fixed. A very fun, unique, interesting property. However the property was not clean, the dish washer didn't really work and there was a large crack inside the fridge. It certainly wouldn't have passed the cleaning standards I work to in my holiday cottages but with only a 2 hour change over period I guess there's only time to change beds and hoover . It felt grubby and need of some TLC and did leave us a bit disappointed. A real shame as its an awesome property apart from that.

We've stayed several times, always enjoy the peace and the wildlife... some people may not like the aeroplane noises, we don't mind at all... Will be back next year.

It’s a lovely property is a great location (although noisy with planes departing Heathrow and trains during the week sounding their horns). Nice to sit by the river and watch the wildlife. Tricky to get in and out with the car. Large vehicles would have a problem being able to turn and reverse (our Kia Sportage managed it just about). Lots of lovely memorabilia in the house and a lovely welcome by the owner. The house needs some TLC and repairs to the blinds, dishwasher, light bulbs replacing, etc. it also has a lot of spiders webs and needs a bit of a paint and thorough clean. The dishes are tired and we’re not very clean when we arrived, so we washed everything before we used it. The dishwasher appeared to work but didn’t do much of a job of cleaning. Grateful to have a washing machine.

Myself, husband and two teenage girls stayed here for 3 nights. The bungalow had everything we needed and more! The hot tub was lovely and clean and the views were beautiful. Would visit again.
Sharon was very good at responding to messages and sent informative videos of everything we needed.

A bungalow on the river thames, hot tube, sauna, breakfast pod, what else can you ask for.
Our stay here was perftion, the weather was stunning. We used our kayak from there own Dock on the side on the property.
There was birthday banners and balloons waiting for my partner for her birthday... even a bottle champs and prosecco...oh and and a cake.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS !!!!

This property is in an idyllic location on the Thames.
It is clear that this house was once a much loved, fun place to be but it has been neglected somewhat and needs to get the love back.
Liquid Leisure were burning trees on our arrival and it put ash all over the car - not ideal for any car but ours is a soft top and we had to hoover it off. Luckily, there was an extension cable and out door socket that made it easier to get the hoover out doors.
The smoke also went directly into the garden so made it impossible to go out. We were looking forward to sitting in the garden to see the wildlife- the host accurately described - however last years flowers and weeds portrayed the garden in a sorry state as well.
The property could do with a good clean throughout. There is no agency cleaner as described
The quilt and pillows in the master need replacing as they are quite old and grubby with yellow stains. We only saw this because we were expected to remove all the bedding.
The sofas in the lounge and 2nd bedroom are old, dirty and worn.
The second bedroom has a door with 1/2 a window in it so no privacy. We put a towel over this and the duke box because the duke box was too light at night.
The fan on the oven doesn't work so it gets very hot in the kitchen when cooking
There is an iron but no ironing board so it made it very difficult to iron shirts on the dining table
The blinds were missing in some sections of the windows and the rest are in poor repair - the sun goes on the TV and the missing blinds would stop this if they were there
We arent from the area so the noise from the planes and trains were a bit of a shock to our system but we got used to it.
We did not use the hot tub or sauna so comment on those.
The host is lovely and wrote us a nice letter for when we arrived. The host also left Prosecco and cakes for us too, which was a nice touch.

Lovely location on the river and lots of different birds to be watched and seen. The owners have left a lovely binder full of handy stuff explaining everything to do with the house. The hot tub was lovely and we used it everyday, the decor was strange but great. You were always seeing new things in the house the owners have clearly taken great care when putting it all together. Would stay again

What a place. Everywhere you look there is something interesting from music memorabilia to framed art, and this carries on outside. You could immerse yourself here and not leave but with a train station a short walk away to get to London and so many great locations within a short drive, you will be spoilt for choice for days out.
Yes it could do with some upgrades here and there but everything is functional. If you prefer character and relaxation to clinical modern, which we do, this is the place for you.
Sitting in the hot tub with a glass of something cold watching hawks, herons, parakeets etc circling over the Thames was magical.
