Worth staying here for the location, hotel character and kind staff but note there's no lift.

The location was fantastic, the staff were very kind and helpful. The property itself had character and the room was cozy. Breakfast was prepared daily and it was good and served in a very cozy part of the hotel, with the dining area facing the gardens and with a fireplace.

Didn't realize there was no lift so if your room was on the top floor, it was a bit of a hike - that oversight may have been our fault though because I believe the hotel may have flagged this for us but we forgot. And unless you were a guest at the hotel, you couldn't go to someone's room - which was a bit annoying for us because we were in a group but part of our group had to stay at another hotel because of their flight. Seemed unnecessary to have a rule like that in place for adults, at the end of the day it's a hotel, not a dormitory. The rooms are small, and bathrooms especially looked like they need some repair.

t good small hotel with pleasant staff. A bit pricey at 250 Euro a night...

Nice rooms that are kept in the old style. Very good location, close to most.

Breakfast is not as pictured and at times. Once they setup late, which was an issue since we had to leave on a tour early.

I want all my friends to stay here.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel, modestly priced and perfectly located. The garden is an oasis and the rooftop terrace, while a little tricky to find, is lovely at the end of the day. The staff are lovely and very helpful.

The stairs are a little difficult for an older person but its a small price to pay.

Superb

The location was not well maintained because there were cobwebs, dust, the carpets were stained and torn, and the furniture was in an advanced stage of deterioration. Breakfast was modest and the same every day. I understood the idea of wanting to be a rustic, traditional Turkish hotel, but it needs to be maintained and at the same time invested more.

the best and most charming place to stay in Istanbul

beautiful accommodation in the heart of the old city. it was quiet and peaceful. the rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. the courtyard was so pretty, the perfect place for breakfast or an aperitif. staff were all so friendly. highly recommended.

loved it! quaint, traditional Turkish little hotel. perfect location and friendly helpful staff! perfect!

it’s quaint turkish charm! and it’s central location was ideally.

nothing loved it! if had to be picky would be nice to have a pool but otherwise wow wow wow! and on a city break you don’t really use the pool.

A wonderful hotel with perfect location nearby all sightseeing places. The building has a touch of history in it because it is situated in the old house. All is kept neatly to make the impression of original old time life. The people working there are very kind and helpful in all situations. Breakfast is authentic, good and very home like. So if you are a fan of brand net hotels it is not for you, it has soul and it is homelike.

Excellent hotel for a first time in Istanbul!

The location of the hotel is perfect, just 2 minutes away by foot from the center of the old town, in a calm area. The kindness of the staff, the decorations and the breakfast were also highly appreciated. Many thanks to the team for this stay! 🤩 10/10

Great stay in an unique hotel.

This boutique hotel is in a great location in Istanbul. Close to all the landmarks in Sultanahmet. The terrace offered fantastic views. The furnishings in the room were unique and gave a Turkish flair. Resident cat was a bonus.

The toiletries other than the soap didn’t seem to be changed for new visitors as the bottles had been opened and used.

The location and personnel were beyond fantastic.

Convenient location 2 blocks away from the Blue and Sophia mosques. Front-desk stuff recommended a few good restaurants. I’m forever grateful for these recommendations. Although there is no elevator in the building, the porter was at my disposal 24/7. The breakfast lady was super nice, the quality of the food was great. I’ll definitely book a room in this hotel I go to Istanbul again.

Would love a kettle In the room for a cup of tea in the evenings . Not all rooms have TV's which didn't really bother us but just FYI for travellers

Lovely hotel and staff! Central location close to the main touristic attractions.

We absolutely loved the hotel! Perfect location super close to the main touristic attractions. The staff is lovely, everything is very well curated, and the breakfast is delicious!

The windows of our room where not thick enough therefore we could hear lots of noise from the outside. It's still part of the Istanbul experience but it have been nice to have better windows.

it was expensive. I don’t need, or want, a large room, but it was tiny. As a newbie to Turkey, I would have loved a guide for the hamam style bathroom.

absolutely loved our large double room (free upgrade). The room looked into the street, but noise was not a problem. wonderful shower. excellent breakfast in charming, peaceful garden. The location could not be better for seeing the major sites…

Only criticism (and it’s a small one) is that fresh squeezed fruit juice (which is omnipresent and wonderful in Istanbul) would be nice.
