Great Location Stunning A Listed Georgian Apt
About this condo rental
Located in Edinburgh, this charming condo for R 9,118 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This beautiful 2 bedroom self-catering apartment occupies the entire ground floor of a charming small townhouse in an excellent location and in one of Edinburgh’s most perfect Georgian Squares. This wonderfully bright drawing room apartment which sleeps four people has a lovely sun catching drawing room with deep window seats and two most relaxing bedrooms and retains all the charms of the Georgian era with a sense of soft décor and luxurious comfort throughout with living flame open fire, working shutters, oak flooring and warm lighting. Virtually next door to the apartment are the glorious Glenogle Baths, restored to their Victorian splendour of 1897 with beautiful heated pool and sauna and open for a morning dip or evening wind down. Located in the quirky bohemian village of Stockbridge yet only a 10 minute walk to the city centre, Saxe Coburg Place very much enjoys the best of both worlds of village living in the heart of neo-classical New Town. Most find themselves quite smitten with Stockbridge village itself. It’s a great place for shop browsing by day and eating and drinking by night. Set around a maze of cobbled streets it's a marketplace for antiques and quality gifts, speciality food, many art galleries, second hand bookshops and vintage just a touch of eccentricity!

Had a lovely stay with my girlfriends over a rainy fall weekend. So cozy laughing by fire in the evening and reading in the window seats in the morning, watching the world go by. Beautifully appointed and we appreciated the fresh flowers, Prosecco, fruit, and snacks.

Charming, clean and cozy. Beautiful flat with large rooms and lovely detail. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. We so enjoyed strolling and shopping in the nearby village of Stockbridge and of course Edinburgh was amazing. If you are headed to Scotland you will not be disappointed staying in this gem.

We had a great time staying in this flat. The Stockbridge area has lots of interesting restaurants and shops and is fun to walk around in. It is also, thankfully, much quieter than the chaos of the Royal Mile. The botanical gardens are just a short walk away and are also lovely.
The apartment is light and spacious. We especially enjoyed sitting in the window seats. The kitchen is a bit of a tetras game, but fully functional.
Someone had mentioned in a previous post that it is very hard to step out of the bathtub in the en suite bathroom. We also found it difficult and used the other bathroom for showering. Perhaps a platform to step down on? Or some grab bars?
Otherwise, the flat was perfect. Very comfortable. Would love to come back and stay again.

Hello. These accommodations were excellent and were perfect for the three of us adults. Both online and in person communication was excellent and always timely and helpful regarding the area, our accommodation, and arrival and departure information. We would definitely recommend these amenities and would definitely consider using this individual again. 5 Stars in our Books…on a further note, the historicity of the building space, the interior layout and amenities, the quiet places to sleep and rest, all contributed immensely to the quality of our visit. Thank you L and C!!!

My best friend and I were so pleased with our choice to stay at this lovely flat in Stockbridge, that started out our two-week trip to Scotland. The place has a very comfortable vibe to it, which made us feel like we never wanted to leave! The owner Laura, was extremely communicative, always responding very quickly to questions and providing good advice about the area and transportation. When we arrived, were greeted by her friend Catriona who showed us around, making sure that we had fresh flowers, fruit, and other goodies. What a wonderful, welcoming surprise that was!
Another great thing about this beautiful flat is the location. There are many restaurants, shops, and things to do within a short walking distance, and not super far to Old Town Edinburgh. Some things I highly recommend to check out are the Royal Botanic Garden, the Stockbridge Market on Sundays, the Water of Leith Walkway, and shopping on Raeburn Place. I also highly recommend our favorite restaurant, One20 Wine Café, along with Pepe Nero Restaurant, and Hectors for some good ol’ Scottish pub food.
Stockbridge is an amazing neighborhood of Edinburgh and we will definitely stay here again when we come back to Scotland! We cannot thank you enough for such a lovely experience, Laura!!!

Loved the place, very well appointed. Enjoyed having the 2 bed and 2 baths and the large very comfortable common room. The kitchen really works even though small due to the amazing expansion of kitchen storage and cabinetry in the common area. Amazing custom piece contained coffee maker, fridge, freezer, luxurious cutlery and cups, dinnerware. I want one at home. Loved coffee in the windows seats in the morning and relaxing on comfy couches in the evening. Great restaurants down the winding path down the back of the sax Coburgh place U. Easy markets around for incidentals. Would stay here again. Felt welcomed with coffee and milk, fruit, fresh flowers.

We very much enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment located in the beautiful village of Stockbridge. We appreciated the festive touches and Christmas tree set up by Laura in the beautiful sitting room. The beds were very comfortable and whilst the kitchen and second bathroom were very small they were adequate and functional. We would recommend this apartment to anyone needing a base to explore Edinburgh - away from the tourist crowds and with a real local vibe.

The owner and her staff were excellent, going above and beyond. The little touches like having coffee, milk, fruit and snacks there upon arrival was a nice touch and appreciated. The flat is charming, clean, well equipped and in a lovely, quiet residential environment. While not large, it worked well for two couples. Gas fireplace was an added bonus. Stockbridge a little village within a larger city. It has easy walking access Edinburgh proper and boasts lots of handy restaurants, shops and pubs.

Four of us spent six days in this lovely flat. The kitchen had everything we needed including snacks and even Prosecco! It was a very comfortable place to just hang out and the neighborhood was perfect for our needs with great pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Parking was not an issue for us. We ditched our car and walked by the botanical gardens and the Waters of Leith then used Uber for the 5 minute ride to city center. Our stay couldn’t have been better; it felt as if we lived there!

This is a lovely flat in the Stockbridge section of Edinburg. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Comfortable beds, a nice large shower and a beautiful, light-filled living area. The kitchen was smaller than we’d anticipated from the photos but was fine for the breakfast prep we used it for. Property manager was very responsive and helpful.

The neighborhood is wonderful. Just a short walk away from Edinburgh's best coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. It is such a lovely city to enjoy.

The apartment was simply beautiful. We felt like we had stepped back in time—with all of the modern conveniences of course.
Laura is an attentive and gracious hostess. The apartment had fresh flowers, fruit, and even a bottle of wine waiting for us. Coffee and milk were also a pleasant surprise.
It is a bracing walk to Old Town but honestly we enjoyed stopping in at pubs and seeing the enchanting local area. There is a Tesco express nearby and a fabulous Indian restaurant.
Thank you Laura!

We couldn’t have loved our stay in Edinburgh more! This was an absolutely lovely space with beautifully appointed, spacious rooms, an efficient kitchen with everything we needed and personal touches that made us feel very welcome. The Stockbridge neighborhood is a real gem with lots of excellent restaurants and shops close by and all of the city within extremely easy access. We bussed and walked everywhere. We ate in for several nights of our 5 night stay, thanks to the Waitrose near by (about a 15 minute walk) - yum! The dining space and living room were perfectly appointed for the needs of our family of 4 (mom, dad, 2 teens). Our host Laura was so helpful and just a wonderful person. We will be back!

Perfect location
Excellent location, quiet but very attractive and easy access to Stockbridge with its lovely shops, restaurants and beautiful inverleith park and the botanical gardens. Also only a 20 min walk to the centre of Edinburgh. The property was very comfortable and relaxing and the communication with host and check in arrangements could not have been simpler. Would highly recommend this property even though a little expensive but then we got what we paid for.

Perfect stay in lovely Edinburgh neighborhood
Lovely flat in the very convenient, quite and charming neighborhood of Bonnington/Stockbridge. The flat was well-stocked including fresh flowers and treats for us. Very quiet and comfortable.

Special place, perfect location
Apartment exactly as described. Lovely welcome by Catriona, fresh flowers in sitting room. We used the living flame fire in evening and closed shutters as chilly autumn nights, very homely. It’s our second stay, not here but Laura’s other apartment around the corner. We’re glad to have found them for future trips.

Lovely neighborhood close to Edinburgh
We were warmly greeted by Caitriona with a vase of flowers, fresh fruit, milk, coffee and other lovely touches. The apartment was just as pretty as it is pictured. The fireplace was an added bonus. We had one of the best meals of our trip at Scran & Scallie in the village and enjoyed a short walk to the botanical gardens. What we didn’t expect is the very, very small hall bathroom and tiny shower. The kitchen was well appointed but the smallest I have ever seen. The parking was the biggest problem as we were instructed to park in a lot almost a 20 minute walk away. We were not told about this ahead of time. If you want to park in the neighborhood you have to keep putting money in the meter. It’s about $35 per day.

Beautiful flat
This home is very beautiful and in a wonderful neighborhood. It is a short walk to a grocery store, bus and restaurants. There is a pretty walk to Old Town by a river. We also walked to the botanical garden. We enjoyed our stay there very much and would come again if we are ever in Edinburgh again

Great location & responsive host
We loved the location, peaceful neighborhood, plenty of room for our family of four, and a beautiful place. Laura was very responsive to our questions and left a lovely welcome basket. Our only negative was that the flat could have been a bit cleaner. All in all a wonderful stay however.

Wonderful flat in a great location
Beautiful flat in a great Stockbridge location in Edinburgh very comfortably accessorized with great attention paid to comfort and luxury. Four of us shared the flat for a wedding and loved the location which was 5 minutes &10 minutes from the wedding venues. Very conveniently located – close to Water of Leith walkway, great restaurants and pubs in the Stockbridge area. Laura and Contraina were very helpful (besides leaving us beautiful flowers, prosecco & sparkling wine) – they had great suggestions for things to do in Edinburgh.
We walked to the Botanic Garden (10 mins) twice and to the center of town (20 mins) too – even got to watch the filming of a new TV show ‘Belgravia’
Towels and linens are provided. The flat is very well-equipped with dryer, iron, washer & dryer, dishwasher, etc. The kitchen is a bit small but we managed to make breakfast every morning and us it for snacks, etc.
I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and will stay here when I come back to Edinburgh.

Be patient with the washer and dryer !!!
We had 4 adults staying at this wonderful flat but we had a lot of clothes to was and I got impatient waiting for my turn and decided to take them to a laundry service on Raeburn st. To my surprise, when I went to pick them up the next morning the laundry had been destroyed buy a fire that night. Our sweet landlord asked us what they could do to help ! They were very gracious for there offer !! We had such a good time there and wished we didn’t have to leave ! Everything was so conveniently located to great restaurants, transit stops and shopping ! We want to come back as soon as we can !!!! So much better than the flat we had in London by far ! John And Jackie White Florence Alabama USA

Charming apartment!
This was a real treat, staying in this lovely apartment just outside of Edinburgh. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, graciously furnished. The beds were super comfy, and having a washing machine was a real treat! Note: the terrific Majestic on/off bus tour into all the Edinburgh sites stops right at the Botanical Gardens nearby. Within easy walking distance from the apartment, in Stockbridge, are a number of pubs, shops, etc, and the free Botanical Gardens are beautiful & peaceful. Laura and her staff were remarkably easy to deal with, and very accommodating when we needed a later departure. I would gladly stay here again!

Beautiful Apartment in a Great Area
We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It's in a very nice neighborhood and the photos accurately reflect the apartment. It's elegant, yet casual at the same time. The owner had welcoming refreshments and fresh flowers for us upon our arrival which was an extra special touch. It's a short walk to the Royal Botanic Gardens and a longer walk into central Edinburgh itself, but you get to see a lot of the city, which we liked. Stockbridge has many shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a cheese shop - I.J. Mellis - a short walk away which we visited several times and highly recommend. We had a car with us and while there is free parking, it is on street. One has to read the signs carefully. The owner, Laura, was most helpful in providing guidance about parking. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay. Laura is very responsive, which is another plus. We would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful flat in a wonderful neighborhood
This flat was perfect for our stay in Edinburgh! The neighborhood is filled with great shops and restaurants and is near the Botanical Gardens, a highlight of our trip. It was a 20 minute walk or a quick bus ride to the Old City and museums. The flat itself is beautifully furnished and equipped and is quite spacious. I would stay here again with great pleasure.
