This place was top notch! So clean and a great location. Matt and Lourdes made sure to check in periodically to see if we needed anything and everything about the place was easy and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is amazing. Clean, beautiful, great attention to details, great location, great hosts. Really appreciated the fridge gifts! The lights outside along the walkway were so thoughtful. Will stay here again when we return to Asheville.

Place was very clean, convenient to downtown. Lulu was a great host, answered questions promptly. Nicely appointed. The apt is bigger than it looks in the pics. The street is narrow but we never had trouble finding parking right in front. We’ll be back!

Very clean, cute and cozy. Close to everywhere; downtown, River Arts District, Biltmore, etc. The stairs down are well lit, the neighborhood is quiet and a good location. I enjoyed the books the owners provided on the Asheville area. The deck is great for relaxing after walking all day. We really enjoyed our stay! Even though it’s street parking, we didn’t have any trouble finding a close spot to park.

This is a very comfortable space in a charming neighborhood. It is bigger than it looks from the pictures, very quiet, and everything is very comfortable. The hosts reached out a couple of times just to see if we needed anything.

Lulu and Matt went above and beyond making sure our stay was comfortable and homey. The place was exceptionally clean and well thought out for a weary traveler’s needs. The couple was also super quick to communicate with when asking for some directions. It is obvious that Lulu and Matt take great pride in their home and want to make sure you enjoy it as well.

We really enjoyed this place, and hope to come back in the future. Spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Loved the big back porch overlooking a large ravine. Hosts were great communicators, and they even left a couple of cold beers and drinks in the frig. Only small drawback is street parking on a narrow road, (we had our truck), but that is typical for the Asheville area.

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay for our 10-year anniversary getaway. The Hideaway was PERFECT. Comfortable, quiet, private and everything we needed. Everything we wanted to see downtown was a short walk! The back porch was the perfect place for morning reading and coffee. Matt and Lulu were so kind and attentive, helped us celebrate our anniversary with a lil champagne, and even promptly contacted me when my husband left some of his shirts hanging in the closet. Next time we visit Asheville, we won’t stay anywhere else! Thank you for everything!

The owners were very communicative and even offered a list of restaurants and things to do while in Asheville. Their property was even more amazing, it was in a nice quiet area and the entire house was clean and fully stocked with essential items. If you are looking for a place to stay while in Asheville then the hideaway is the place :)

Peaceful , clean, comfortable, spacious, convenient. This was the perfect stay for us. We were only in town for two nights. The location is very convenient and quiet. Loved the back deck and wish I had more time to enjoy it. My niece, husband and two small children came over one afternoon for a visit. I wanted a space that was large enough and comfortable. It was both. We went to lunch in town, which was easy to get to. We loved having All Day Darling up the hill for a quick bite. The owners were communicative and gave lots of info about the area. Easy keypad for entrance to the apartment.

Matt and Lulu, were wonderful hosts. Prior to our arrival we were sent area restaurants that they recommended. They checked in on us the second day to see if there was anything we needed. The home was cozy and had everything we needed, if we travel back to Asheville we will definitely stay here.

The property was just as described in the listing. Lots of instructions were provided so we didnt have to contact the owners on simple things like how to adjust the A/C. Loved the supply of games. We played Uno, which we havent done in a long time! The house is close to many attractions, which was great for us. We had no problem finding a spot to park in front of the house but the steet is a little tricky as its very narrow. We enjoyed our stay!

Great place. We had a great time. Perfect for the 2 of us and our needs. Light fixtures allow for 3-way lights which were not used. Thus, lighting was dim (and in the bathroom too). Other than that, place is excellent!

We loved everything about the Hideaway! The neighborhood was adorable and so close to downtown. Great layout and we enjoyed coffee on the deck….coffee pods provided by owners. We will definitely stay here again.

Check in was ideal. Location was close to downtown and walking distance to a couple of great eateries. The host had many good recommendations which is appreciated when traveling. The Hideaway was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed the porch for relaxing so much, it was difficult to get out for sightseeing at times.

I spent 4 nights at this property while I attended a class in the River Arts District. It was conveniently located, attractive, and comfortable. It was a perfect retreat - clean, safe, quiet, with accessible street parking. The hosts were attentive to my needs. And I loved the neighborhood, walking to a nearby restaurant, Nine Mile which I recommend. 5 Stars for my stay!

This adorable hideway is just as good or better than the pictures. Very clean, cute and comfortable for our 3 nights. The hosts provided excellent recommendations for restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and area hiking. We enjoyed walking and exploring the beautiful neighborhood and highly recommend the local restaurant, 9 mile and the evening views from Hemmingways rooftop terrace. After a day of exploring it was so nice to relax on the private porch. The hosts were very accommodating and checked to see if there was anything additional we needed, but they had already thought of everything.

What can I say? Everything was fabulous. We are thinking of renting out a room in our home and this little gem gave me so many ideas. There were books everywhere, plenty of room to store our belongs, a relaxing porch with lounge chairs, a functional kitchen, and a cute neighborhood. ALL DAY DARLING is a delicious restaurant down the street. We will be back!

I can't think of enough words to accurately describe how much we adore Lulu & Matt's perfect apartment. It is always our #1 place to stay when we are in AVL. Immaculately clean, tasteful decor, and best of all walking distance to downtown! We walk to/from dinner/breweries/shopping all week when we are there. Always feel safe and enjoy so much the beautiful walk through the historic gem of their neighborhood. The back porch faces an oasis of trees and I miss so much my coffee and all the songbirds serenading me. MOST OF ALL, Lulu and Matt are the perfect hosts. Always checking on us, and even finding our lost items in the street we drop! The apartment is perfect for those of us who love adventures, and a side water spigot was most convenient to clean and dry our muddy tent. These little particular things you will never find in a sterile corporate hotel downtown. Thank you Matt and Lulu, see you next year--if not sooner! :-)

We really enjoyed the property! It was cozy, comfortable, and quiet. It was amazing how close it was to everything while still having that level of privacy. Very clean, easy check in. Overall a great place to stay. The ONLY suggestion that I have is to add a handrail into the shower as the river rocks can get a bit slick.

The apartment was so charming and exactly as pictured. It is a lovely neighborhood and the location is perfect. Easy walk to downtown and the River Arts District. Lulu provided us with some fabulous restaurant recommendations which was helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We needed a base for in- between exploring Asheville. This was perfect. We got breakfast take-out from nearby offerings, drank coffee from the Hideaway and set out for the day. We’d return late evening to rest and dress for dinner. This was really a very convenient spot. Street parking was fine for our Honda Pilot but a very wide vehicle or truck may find it a little challenging. Great hosts, we would definitely stay again.
