The house is truly lovely, being spacious, beautifully decorated, clean, comes with a terrific library, and games, nice furniture, and was more than adequate for my guests and me to celebrate my birthday. The home is on a wooded, secluded lot on a narrow country road, with a lovely back yard surrounded by trees.

This trip was three years in the making. The joy of finally making it a reality after the heightened risk of covid19, we were pleased.
The house was gorgeous and very well-appointed. The surrounding grounds were beautiful, and the nature scenes and spending time on the deck was so clamming. The management team, when called, was very responsive and professional. However, they could not resolve the problem with the stereo, the upstairs televisions, and the house does not have cable. The basement where the washer and dryer are was a bit scary; additionally, the sliding door in the area was left unlocked and opened.
In the location of this lovely home, if you plan to visit other regions of the Vineyard, a car is needed. Finding reliable transportation was the most troubling part of our stay. The lack of dependable transportation is the primary reason for not giving a higher rating.

So start i am not one to ever write a review or a bad one at that. This is honestly what happened to me to please read and book at your own risk. I stayed here for a wedding at the end of September with a bunch of friends and was truly disappointed. So overall the location of this home was good. We were only about a 5-10 minute drive from the ferry and local shops. The house itself was not clean. When we walked in the bedroom on the upper floor with the two twin beds had a bunch of dead and alive moths in the room. It was all over the bed, walls, windows and a bunch on the floor. Also looked like there was some type of animal feces as well. The sheets were dirty as well with stains. The main master bedroom had no blinds for privacy and the sheets had major stains on them as well. I was so disguised. We had contacted VRBO and wasn’t given a response until 24hrs later. We had to buy cleaning supplies to wash the sheet and moth balls since there was an infestation all throughout the home. Some of my friends couldn’t even stay at the location because it was so nasty. There is also no fire place. I have been trying to contact the person who takes care of the house and they have been giving me the run around for about 3 weeks now. So unprofessional and I would recommend staying somewhere else.

My partner and I brought a few friends to stay at the Artist's Haven during the Columbus Day weekend so that we could celebrate my partners birthday. The home was beautiful/spacious (loved the artwork) with plenty of parking spaces. There was a WiFi issue when we arrived, but we contacted Vacasa and they had someone at the house within 20 minutes to fix everything. The home, itself, may need a little updating, but it was perfect for us and I would recommend staying here to friends and family.

Great house and amenities. Lots of room for a group of 8. Location is easier with a car, otherwise is nice bike ride or a doable but long walk into Vineyard Haven.

The carpet needs replaced (stains throughout), sheets were old and stained, missing blinds in master bathroom and upstairs bedroom, laundry in unfinished basement, carbon monoxide alarm was chirping (we went to replace the batteries and the unit was damaged), pots in kitchen were nasty and unusable as was the coffee maker. There were also bugs in both bathrooms, and front porch light was broken. Again, this could be a great property, but in the current condition doesn't warrant a better rating.

This property was wonderfully private and a pleasure to spend time in. It was generous in size and thoughtfully appointed with beautiful art, books, games and videos. We will be back!

Location was ideal for biking into Vineyard Haven, running/biking in the area (Lake Tashmoo is a hidden gem), and day trips to other areas of the island. This is a nicely-situated and well laid out house. The lot is wooded and private without being too far from town. And the house was perfect for the seven of us that stayed there, affording us plenty of opportunity for both communal gatherings and solitude, when desired. We would definitely consider a return trip.

Great House
We were looking to get away for a week and still be safe during the COVID 19 pandemic. They did a great job cleaning the house. It felt very safe. No AC is expected on the Island and in the middle of July it wasn't really a problem. There were plenty of fans in the house which worked fine. Also no shortage of harmless bugs but again, that's MV.

Good Needs some TLC
Property is very nice as we drove up to it. Upon arriving at the front entrance it appeared no one had been at the house in a few weeks. A wet pile of leaves covered the entrance which needed to be cleaned up before we entered the house. The property looked like it not been maintained outside in a while as the deck and surrounding areas had piles of leaves everywhere. The yard and deck could use some maintenance.
Once in the house we found it neat and clean. We quickly learned that the heat was off in the house. My husband was able to reset the furnace and that corrected the heat issue.
The only other issue we had is the dish washer did not work. The management company was quick to respond to us and credited us for the 3 days.
The house is very spacious and had plenty of room for all of us. The house is also centrally located for a great vacation.
Other than the property needs a little little TLC painting and outside cleanup we would rent again.

The location is fantastic and the house is very spacious. A deep cleaning or a fresh coat of paint would make this home even more comfortable for guests. More bath towels are needed even for a 3-night stay like ours. Oh, and where was the trash can? lol

House rental from hell. Avoid at all cost
From the very beginning it was a nightmare. Upon entering the house it smelled very strongly of mildew. The pictures on the website maybe are from 10-15 years ago. Found mouse drippings in hallway, broken dining room chairs and ripped furniture. At first we were told AC was not working. We were told an electrician would come in first thing next morning to fix it. Shortly after midnight some shady guy showed up claiming to be here for repairs. When asked for ID he just bolted. Needless to say none of us got much sleep. Someone showed up first thing in the morning, walked around the house and said that house has no AC. Dealt for 3 hours that night with Homeaway and Vacasa to be relocated or refunded with no resolution. Stayed just the night even though we paid for 2 nights. First thing in the morning after that first night all 6 of us packed up and were out of that horror house by 8 am. It is 2 weeks later and still have not heard back from the management. Had to call Visa to try to get a refund for the second night.
At all cost do not stay here. Very dirty, smelly, weird and unwelcoming house.

Amazing!!
Great place for a girls weekend getaway. Close to everything but private and large enough to give everyone enough space. We had a blast! Only down side was no AC, and it got pretty hot so just plan ahead. Thank you for an awesome stay!

Best Vacation
This property was just liked it was described, clean, comfortable, and tons of space. We interacted with the property manager due to something that had been broken by the last tenants and everything was handled professionally and quickly. Next time I come to the island I will look to see if this property is available first.

This home was amazing and conveniently located near the ferry in walking distance.
Easy renting process, no issues at all. Master bath door was locked, maintenance immediately came out and unlocked it for us and was very nice. Property was clean, spacious, and convenient to ferry and shops within walking distance! Would 10/10 recommend!!
