Nuestro apartamento está situado cerca del animado corazón de Balmain, con sus bares, restaurantes, cafés, y sólo un corto paseo a todas las atracciones de Balmain. Es muy amplio y luminoso, con techos altos y tiene una gran terraza soleada con una barbacoa y un garaje. El salón es también un sofá-cama, pero no es el tipo que se pliega totalmente hecha. No tiene que ser hecho completamente cada vez.
El complejo de apartamentos está ubicado alrededor de una hermosa y bien cuidada piscina (25 metros cuadrados, 28 grados C con calefacción), con una zona para tomar el sol y una zona de barbacoa que solo solicita la mañana perfecta en la piscina.
Con vistas a la ciudad y el puente del puerto, y sólo una parada de autobús de la CDB, es un lugar ideal para parejas, aventureros en solitario y como alternativa a los hoteles de la ciudad para el alojamiento de negocios. El apartamento también ofrece la parada perfecta para los viajeros que salen desde / llegar a Sydney en barco de crucero. (Distancia desde la terminal de cruceros Bahía Blanca Internacional: 750m)

Balmain, que se conoce como la península de pubs, tiene su pub más antiguo se encuentra a la vuelta de la esquina de la habitación (Calvo Rock Hotel 1876) con aproximadamente 5 más en las proximidades (El Balmain, Dicks, el Londres, The Exchange, ...). Un paseo a 800 metros se encuentra la famosa calle de Darling, lleno de una gran variedad de restaurantes y pequeñas boutiques preciosas

Our second stay at Russ' property this year. A comfortable stay in a spacious secure apartment with everything you need. Loved being able to use the pool this visit. Russ' communication is great and very welcoming. Parking bay is an added bonus for this location. Close to everything you need and views of city fireworks in the evening were a bonus!

Good location, all useful amenities
We stayed at the unit for 4 weeks in Feb/March. Russell as a host responded to queries very quickly, and made the checking in and out process very convenient for us. The apartment was comfortable and had all that we needed for our stay. We have some suggestions for improvements that could be made for future guests- the furnishings were tired and the pillows/ mattress covers stained, which could be replaced. It might be helpful to be clear that the balcony faces the very busy street, it is noisy with traffic. The bedroom windows ( which needed a good clean on the outside) faced the pool and at night with windows open the water filtration noises from the pool were quite loud. Overall though this is a good unit in a convenient location and we very much enjoyed our stay 🙂

The perfect experience
Russell is a great host: helpful, reactive, accommodating. The property is perfect for couples and located in a convenient location. Enjoyed every single day in Buchanan despite the lockdown. Thanks Russell, will definitely recommend your apt to friends once borders re-open.

Really enjoyed our stay. The apartment has all that you need and more. Great extra touches by the owners such as Opal cards, Nespresso coffee, kitchen & bathroom basics were much appreciated. Property & local information available in the apartment was very useful. Communication with the owners was superb.

It is a very comfortable apartment. A pleasant walk to Darling St shops or transport and close to the city for an Uber into town. Also, a quiet neighbourhood at night to just stay home and watch a movie.

Home Away from Home
Quite, peaceful and homely apartment. Everything you need is in the apartment. Great knowing we could park our car in a lockable garage and not on the street. All the other residence were very friendly. Enjoyed our stay. Would absolutely recommend this apartment.

Perfect stay in Balmain
I ended a wonderful trip to Australia and New Zealand with 4 days in Sydney. The trip had been energetic and Russell’s home in Sydney was the perfect finish to the trip. The home is well appointed and beautiful (gorgeous pool, deck for relaxing, laundry, great kitchen and bath), Russell is a terrific host and the neighborhood is the ideal retreat for a weary traveler (good restaurants within walking distance, parks nearby and good access to transportation options).
I am a walker and exploring Balmain was a delight. It is less than 6 minutes to the bus, a little over 10 minutes to the shops/ restaurants of Darling Street and around 15 minutes to the ferry warf (which I visited frequently- the ferry system around Sydney Harbor is one of the best ways to see the area). I cannot think of a single thing I would change.
I ran into Russ on one of my walks and you would have thought he was a lifelong friend. It was a special kind of experience. One I won’t forget. I will plan to return with my wife.

Issues made this a three star stay
Three problems
1 getting in and meeting the owner
2 no lift 4 flights of stairs and 3 suitcases to take up and down
3 internet and tv very slow had to get a technician to service the WiFi etc
The owner was very helpful and we appreciate that

This was the most hospitable VRBO we have ever stayed at. Everything was there for us, including OPAL Transit passes. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Well situated and reasonable tariff for Sydney.
Couple of minor issues noted to the owner which I am sure will be rectified.
Internet and lock up parking included.
Probably needs curtains in lounge/dining area to limit radiation of cold through windows.
Would stay here again.
