We originally booked the smaller of the two houseboats, but ended up with the larger one. And, it was wonderful!!!! The beds upstairs are very comfortable. The kitchen has all of the appliances and dishes you may need. And, the back deck is right on the water. There is an abundance of wildlife including herons, geese, king fishers, swallows and more. We spent our time on the back deck watching the wildlife and all the boats passing through the canal, often chatting with the folks on the boats or in their kayaks. The owners are great! Paula came down a few times and sat on the back deck chatting with us. John came by with his guided kayak tours and jokingly said if we stayed another longer they'd have to adopt us (we booked 2 nights and loved it there so much that we stayed 2 more!) Kind of wish they would have adopted us!! Good, down to earth people. We can't wait to go back!!!

We thouroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay on the houseboat. To start, Paula was very accomodating about letting us check in early because of our schedule on the date of arrival. The houseboat was surprisingly roomy,good sized living area and wlell furnished kitchenette. We only needed one bedroon but there were two full bedrooms as well as room in the lower level for a couple of kids. The mattress was super comfortable, and we enjoyed the view from our room overlooking the water. The back deck of the boat was awesome to have your morning coffee on while watching blue herons fish and geese herding their goslings.Same deck offered a beautiful view of the stars and fireflies at night. Very relaxing! Although it was a little chilly and we were pressed for time on our visit, there were lots of fun things to do- paddleboating, kayaks and canoes to use as well as lots of games and a fire pit.Our hosts were very welcoming and we would definately stay here again and recommend this property.

We met family here for a long weekend. Check in was very relaxed and easy and the property owners were just the same. Talking to Paula and John felt like talking to people we'd known a long time. We had a great time!

From swimming, to fishing, to kayaking every evening, to finishing the night with s’mores. The water was calm and cool, everyone was super social and inviting. The host were the best I have ever had! If we needed anything, they were there and I can not forget how much my boys adored John. They are still telling me stories of their adventures. We had a blast, thank you so much!

My wife and two children used this as a base to visit family and my hometown. We had ideas of leaving to check out some area attractions and really just stayed put on the property the entire time! Plenty of games, fishing, swimming and just sitting in the nice shady grass area. Grills and evening bonfires complete with smores and fireflies! John and Paula were gracious hosts and we had fun reminiscing about the old Geneva days! Thank you for a great experience....5 stars!

The area where the boat was was surrounded by other rentals pretty close by. The owners seemed very nice but the boat had ants and was not advertised as a camp.

Amazing location! House boat is definitely a unique stay. Kayaks readily available to use. Paula and John built a fire for us.

What a charming houseboat! And fun hosts. We stayed for 2 nights and slept very well in the memory foam mattress. Enjoyed the campfire and stories and taking the kayak out on the canal. We hope to return next year for a longer visit.

We were greeted by Paula and John, who were so very friendly and informative. Sitting on the back deck of the houseboat was a treat morning and evening. We biked the area with beautiful views of the Cayuga and Seneca Lakes. A bike trail across from the property was a pretty ride. The houseboat had everything we needed. Loved being on the water! A lovely getaway!!

Paula and John were great hosts. This was everything we were looking for. So peaceful, so beautiful.

Perfect getaway! Plenty of on-site activities for kids. Between swimming, kayaking, and fishing right off the back of the houseboat, we never had to leave the property. Less than an hour to Syracuse and Rochester if you want shopping, museums etc. Great friendly owners on site to help with whatever questions you may have! Highly recommend!

Captain John and Paula were great. Property was perfect, our week was amazing. Really hope to make it back again someday.

My wife and I arrived earlier than expected as it's not all that far from where we live, so we decided too check out the area. Our host called us, said the Boats ready for us whenever. So we left Oak Island and drove down to the boat. We walked around and just wanted to take it all in, whist sitting on the bow waiting to meet our hosts. Paula and Capt. John are so pleasant and Welcoming, they make you feel like you've known them all your life. Both my wife and I didn't leave the Property the first day. We fished off the fantail of the boat everyday. We had Perfect weather everyday. Our first night we had a nice fire and John brought his guitar down, and sang some songs, my wife also sang a few songs. We Really Enjoyed it so much we were able to stay another night. They have so much to do here, there's a small boat you can take out on the Canal, and Capt. John for our Anniversary gave us a Guided Tour of the Canal and parts of Seneca Lake, learned about the History of the area, and why Belhurst Castle is Haunted. Paula and Capt John are both very informative and have Hearts of Gold. They own a few rentals here on the Property, if the Houseboat isn't your cup of tea, then rent a tent or the Yurt. With a warm and welcoming greeting we were made to feel right at home immediately. The cozy charm of the houseboat was perfect for a relaxing stay. Conveniently located off a main thoroughfair made it easy to explore the beautiful surrounding scenic areas. After our busy day of sightseeing we enjoyed the tranquility of watching nature on the water and enjoying a glass of wine while sitting out on the back deck. After the beautiful sunset we were able to walk over to a nearby firepit where the owners prepared firewood for a fire every night we were there. It was perfect for enjoyable conversation and of course roasting marshmallows and fixing Some mores for desert. The tranquility we enjoyed is not something you can find in a cookie cutter hotel room. The owners are kind and thoughtful hosts who offer wonderful ammenities to make your stay with them an experience you will want to share with friends and family. We would plan a return visit to enjoy the expereience again as is obvious so many others have returned. We highly reccommend the houseboat stay to all who are considering this property.

We stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer.we had a wonderful time,Paula and John really made us feel welcome.it is such a unique place to stay that gave us much needed peace and quiet.we will gladly go back!

The property is amazing, so much talent and love has been poured into this serene place. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. Being on the canal was wonderful and having access to kayaks, grills and a campfire makes the vacation even more enjoyable. We will certainly be back. The only issue was the air conditioning couldn’t get the underneath bedroom cool but everything was better than expected. Thank you for sharing your space with so many!

Loved being able to use the Kayaks. We didn't have to buy wood for the campfires. Enjoyed a fulfilled weekend. One point if it's hot out you will need additional fans the air conditioner has a hard time cooling the entire boat.

We wanted something fun and different to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary - we were not disappointed! Staying in the houseboat was unique, watching the water go by and the wildlife on the canal was very relaxing. The set up here is truly one of a kind, offering not only camping sites, but 2 houseboat accommodations and a yurt. Use of the kayak provided shear joy - so great to get out on the water. Paula and John, you were the perfect hostess/host - you included us in events such as a boat ride and campfire with your other guests - we felt like part of the family! Thank you for helping to make a special weekend more memorable - look forward to going back and visiting again!

Spent a long weekend exploring the Finger Lakes and opted to stay on a houseboat for something different. Although we really only showered and slept on the boat it was an enjoyable experience. The hosts are extremely friendly without being intrusive. We look forward to going back.

Very cool and relaxing. John was very helpful and very accomodating to our needs, even helping to light the bonfire at night for us. We will definitely be back for this fun experience!

Beats staying at a cookie-cutter hotel! Property is lovingly maintained, the hosts were pleasant, fun, and gave us out-of-towners the inside scoop on getting the most out of our visit to the Fingerlakes. Can’t wait to visit again!
