Place was clean. But no kitchen towels no paper towels. Only one roll of toilet paper. Master bedroom tv doesn’t work. But nice balcony and close to the beach. I’d stay again for sure.

When my family and I arrived to the location there was no power in the home. We called Vacasa and were informed someone would arrive at the home within the next hour. An hour passed & no one arrived. We called back & were told it was the entire neighborhood out of power. We were told multiple times over the next 5 hours we would be relocated or get some sort of voucher for a hotel and that never happend. It was very hot, all our groceries went bad. We had my elderly parents with us who rely on cpap machines at night as well as an infant. We could not be without electricity or in a 90 degree home which was all explained. By 9pm with no signs of power we had to fork over another $450 for a night at another house. Returned to the home at 11pm to gather the rest of our stuff and still no power. Vacasa does not care about their tenants and will leave you high and dry. They will just continue to tell you that its out of their control and offer no solution. They have already repeatedly told me and my family there will be no reimbursement and nothing to make this right. So if you book this listing and anything does go wrong dont expect any help from managemnent. Also, the house wasnt clean. Mounds of dust and the air vents full of dust. Smelt like urine when you walked in and your feet turned black from the floors. Don't waste your money on this unit. The grounds and beach are nice so its such a shame that this property isnt managed correctly.

We love the Pointe West area. This was our 5th stay in this area. The property management group for the beach house was terrible. We would never stay anywhere that they manage again.

The house was better than we expected based on some of the reviews we read prior to booking. There several reviews which mentioned filthy carpet. There is no carpet in the house now, just clean laminate flooring. The house was also stocked with more supplies than I expected based on previous reviews. It seems the owners have responded well to the reviews. The layout was perfect for our family. Loved the balconies overlooking the water fountain. The house was conveniently located with a short walk to the beach. We used both pools offered by the Beach Club and were pleased with them as well. Two negative items which I expect will be addressed with this review. First, it appears the dishwasher has not been used for some time so it smells like something died in there. We did not use it. Second, the dryer had a couple of inches of water in it so we were unable to use it. Hopefully, these issues will be corrected. Other than that we were very pleased with the house and the neighborhood and would definitely return.

My family and I stayed at this property for a few days at the end of June 2023. In terms of location and the property itself, it was fabulous. Just a couple minutes away from a private beach and a quiet neighborhood of vacation homes. Having stayed at several rental properties in the past, our only real complaint is that this house came equipped with the bare minimum of necessities. There were no napkins, no salt and pepper, no pot holders for removing food from the oven - things like that. We made do with what we had and went out and bought a few other things that we needed, but I would let any future renters know that they will need to provide these necessities.

The property was super close to the beach making it easy to walk there with the family and it was an easy drive to the other Pointe West pools & amenities.
The house was overall good but missing a few things for us. We couldn’t find a can opener, pizza pans, or ovenmits . The first floor bedroom needs curtains to block out the sun and the bathroom needs a longer shower curtain to contain water.
We wish we had access to the garage to securely store some of our bigger beach items but we didn’t have any issues when we left them downstairs.
The listing says you have room for two cars in the driveway and two on the street but the street was very narrow and we were worried about damage or blocking the road. Being on a dead end street helps with unnecessary extra traffic though.
Overall great stay, we would stay again but maybe bring a few extra things.

When we arrived the property was not cleaned, Vacasa and cleaning crew were on top of it quickly! The problem is the carpet very much shows that it's a "pet friendly" property. If the carpet was removed it could be 5 stars. The deck furniture on the deck off the Master suite is broken, worn, shredded and unusable. The proximity to the beach is wonderful! The pools and beach club property are nice and well cared for.

The house was dirty and mold was developing in the showers. The house was smelling like animal urin and even after the cleaning service was called to clean it still smelled. Also we were itching the whole time we were there. It made us reconsider using vaccation homes and just sticking to hotels in places that has high traffic of people coming and going. We got a partial refund but only after spending 3 hours on the phone and being told we could vacate or get the clening fee refunded (that night with 5 kids and nowhere to go) so we had to stay and stick it out.. Not going to return.

Location was great! Easy access to the beach. Resort pools were also nice. Now about the House…it was nice but they need to replace the furniture and carpet. We had to put linens over the couch because you would not want to sit on filthy cushions. By the way, when we moved the cushions, there was trash that wasn’t cleaned by the cleaning crew. Also, the walls definitely need a new coat of paint. Originally, I gave them a 5 star rating for cleaning but if you looked closely at the walls, floors, furniture, it was dirty.

We loved the location of this beach house and we love pointe west!! Always been our favorite place in Galveston. Although we were disappointed this year. Even though the house was in a great location, the house was dirty.. dirty filters. Water/mildew build up in showers and in vents. Floors were disgusting:/ mosquitos were horrible- we went home with 100+ bites on all five of my children:( kitchen was left dirty and dishes were as well. So the only thing good about this place was easy access to the beach! We loved that.
We all feel sick after coming home from there:(

The location of this home is great. It’s so quite and the beaches are clean and practically empty of other people. At night you can find so many ghost crabs all over the beaches which is super fun. The resort that the home has access to looks nice. The restaurant is rather slow on the food though, we ordered and it took an hour and a half to get food and it wasn’t even that busy.
Unfortunately the home isn’t in the best condition. There were huge cracks going down the walls around windows, not to mention rust and mold inside. The doors leading to the patios do not shut all the way so the humidity and heat creep inside and make the house feel uncomfortable. We stayed at this house in May of 2021 and had minor issues then. We had loved the location so much and had hoped that the issues would have been fixed up over the solid 1 year since we stayed. Unfortunately, the home has just gotten worse for wear since 2021.
There are some pro’s but not enough to stay another time. Lots of coffee cups, plates, bowls (just need to be washed before using, a bunch were still dirty out of the cabinets). The AC works great, the internet is incredibly fast, and the beds and sofas are so comfortable.

Upon arrival we first noticed a pile of raccoon poop outside the front door. Nobody had bothered to clean it up. Inside was just as bad. The kitchen was not cleaned. The oven was gross, the refrigerator had leftover food in it and the coffee pot wasn’t washed for what appeared to be a long time. Dishes in the cupboard had food on them.
Above the stove at the top of the cupboard trim we noticed black marks. When we opened the cupboard doors there was black mold actively growing.
The photos of the house online are very outdated. They show wrong appliances, incorrect furniture and new condition carpet. There is no Keurig in the kitchen or a Cuisinart as shown online. The furniture in the living room is very old and smelly. Nog what is shown in the photos. The carpeting is just filthy and needs to replaced. Online shows different carpet and almost new condition.
There are many water stains on the ceilings in bathrooms and in the dining area.
Patio furniture is poor quality and moldy. The railing on the upstairs deck is in very poor condition and unsafe.
If you want a moldy, shabby and dirty vacation home this is for you.
We did call to complain and we have been promised a $400 refund which covers one night.
My recommendation is to update the photos on the site to match the current status of the house.
Overall it was very disappointing.

This house is good for groups that aren’t crazy picky, it has everything you need if you’re really just looking for a place to sleep, nap, get ready etc. My biggest issues were that the bedroom best suited for kids is the only one on the main level and it’s right next to the front door. The bedroom doesn’t lock and we have toddlers, which didn’t make me comfortable. The queen and king bedrooms were upstairs. Other than that, it was about some cleaning issues that could easily be fixed.

We have visited Pointe West 8 of the last 10 summers and always love our stay. The house was great but was lacking in amenities compared to some of the other houses we have stayed at. It was a great location and clean for the most part but the carpet was stained and walls showed wear and tear. Outdoor shower wouldn’t completely shut off. Overall it was a great trip and we would definitely stay here again!

Beach access was excellent. Resort amenities were beautiful and well maintained. House was not as clean as it it should have bee, I’ve never seen filthier carpet. Balcony railings were damaged. With small children they really couldn’t be used. Furniture was worn and uncomfortable. Everyone still had a good time.

The location was so perfect! We were right by the beach and not far from the beach club! We had plenty of room to sleep 6 adults and 4 kids. The house was even dog friendly! We can’t wait to go back!

And unfortunately the smell was there for the entire stay, so every time we came in and out the smell would hit you. I would rent this home again and we enjoyed our time just hopefully without the smell next time. Thank you for letting my family enjoy this beautiful home.

Great house

Beautiful beach setting and peaceful! Plenty of family friendly things to do within 15 miles. Beach walkway was less than a 30 second walk from the house! The house was perfect for our group of 7 and had plenty of room for all of us! Love the multiple balconies looking over the resort pond with a fountain, so pretty to watch the sunsets! The beach club was amazing and loved the pool and hot tub!
