Our family of 12 (7 adults and 5 children) enjoyed our summer vacation at the "Winsley House' very much. Everyone's expectations were not only met but exceeded. There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The beach area was great for our 2 & 4 year old and all of the water crafts were used daily by everyone and the theatre was an added bonus. Thank you for providing a clean, wonderful home in a beautiful setting that everyone enjoyed. 5 stars!!!

A very well appointed “ set up” for large groups . It is purpose built . We had three families with little kids and the property worked very well. Toys , boats , everything thought out .. The property would also work for adult groups as well, as long as everyone understands this is a very quiet lake setting.

Very good place, with all amenities you wish for. The theatre didn’t work at first, but they sent someone and fixed the issue immediately, which was very appreciated. Great stay, great host!

A wonderful stay at this property! It is a beautiful and well equipped house with everything your heart can desire. Both indoors and outdoors are absolutely perfect with so many activities to choose from. The owner is very responsive and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to book it again and again!

My wife searched extensively for a cottage that would accommodate her parents, brothers and our daughter's family. Due to Covid-19 health concerns, we were all excited about a summer getaway. We made daily use of the lake, the kayaks and the lake for swimming. Our eight year old nephew caught his very first fish and then proceeded to catch four more for good measure. He was over the roof with excitement! The generous cottage space provided sufficient rooms and bathrooms for all twelve family members and we also enjoyed the basement movie room for a few evening screenings. We were able to drive into Huntsville for some food shopping as well as an afternoon ice-cream following a nature trail hike. All in all, it was a great family holiday. The hot and sunny weather only added to our fun.

We spent the week of July 17-24, 2021 at this beautiful cottage with our family of 14. It had everything we could ask for and much more!!! We were fortunate and had a beautiful weather week that allowed hours by the lake enjoying the water and the kids enjoying sand play. We loved the very minimal motorized boat traffic with the young children only just acclimatizing themselves to the water. The supplied SUPs and kayaks were a big hit. The fire pit and large covered porch were also greatly enjoyed. Inside was huge, very clean and so well stocked. The two large fridges were amazing with more than ample space for all our food and beverages for the week complete with icemakers! Our grandchildren were beyond pumped that we had our own movie theatre!! I could go on and on ..... Any questions we had were promptly answered! Three weeks later all our family is still talking about our magical week!!

The property is better than advertised, and it is immediately apparent that a tremendous amount of thought and care went into the layout and overall experience intended for the guests. We stayed as 4 families (8 adults, and 8 children) and the Winsley served as the perfect venue for the creation of lifelong memories. We all commented at multiple points during the week that we did not 'want' for anything.... anything you can conceive of needing in the kitchen is there (usually in quantities of 3+) and the ownership has done such a great job of ensuring that all potential needs of guests are met with supplies on hand. Norm is an incredible responsive host, and a very minor technology issue we ran into upon check in was solved within the hour. Very grateful for our time away, and we hope to be back. A solid 5 star recommendation from this satisfied customer!

We booked this gorgeous cottage from June 25-July 4, 2021 for a family vacation and also to celebrate our daughter’s 30th birthday. This property exceeded our expectations on every level. The owners have thought of literally everything when they built this cottage. All 8 bedrooms were set up exactly the same way with TVs; two Queen beds with incredibly comfortable mattresses and crisp linen sheets; four pillows per bed; a desk and chair which was thoughtful; 3 night tables; two monogrammed house coats and lots of hangers in every closet. The kitchen was spectacular and had two massive refrigerator/freezers; two dishwashers; two ovens; two microwaves; two sinks; two toasters; a blender; KitchenAid mixer; hand mixer; multiple frying pans; mixing bowls; hand mixers and dozens of wine glasses/champagne flutes/drinking glasses. Three dozen sets of dishes made serving meals easy. The owners even thought to include two dozen plastic dishes and cutlery for children along with four spotless high chairs available for infants. The basement was very functional with a pool table; ping pong table; a gaming TV with multiple games and a TV with countless DVDs. The fully-equipped gym was definitely a bonus. We were able to watch the Stanley Cup playoff games in the massive theatre room. The covered deck allowed us to continue enjoying the beautiful view of the lake even when it rained; and the fire pit with multiple Muskoka chairs was a huge hit. We truly appreciated the different sizes of life jackets and all of the kayaks; canoes and SUPs which were available for use. All in all there wasn’t a single thing that was overlooked in the design and finishes of this beautiful property and we would absolutely rent this again. Huge thank you to the owners for providing the best family vacation we could have asked for. It was 10/10!!!

The cottage really feels like a 5 star hotel/ has every amenity immaginable. Norm was also super helpful and made sure our stay was seamless! Loads of entertainment options for kids and teens and everybody in between- we had a wonderful weekend in this winter wonderland oasis!

I cannot say enough great things about this place! The space was perfect for 5 families with young kiddos! You never felt squished:) The space is exactly as shown as shown in the pictures.Outside: The kids and adults loved the kayaks, SUPs, beach dock, and firepit! It was cool the week we were there but still managed to stay outside most of the time. The men spent the days playing horseshoes.Inside: Our families like to cook, so two ovens, two fridges, two freezers, a large BBQ and a huge island made for an awesome space to make family dinners. We were worried about only 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor but there were no issues with someone needing a bathroom and one not available. The property management man was super. He made sure the garbage/recycling needed emptying. The care for the property is apparent.The theatre room in the lower floor was a HUGE hit with the kids! Movie and popcorn night EVERY night. All the electronics were labelled for easy use. There was even a battery tester with extra batteries for the PS3 /XBOX controllers. The level of detail showed that the rental was well thought out with respect to the larger families it was intended for.I guess it would be important to note that the owners, Julie and Norm, were always quick to respond to inquiries and made the experience seamless.
