property had a lot of cosmetic issues and the backyard area was cluttered with old construction materials, but nothing to keep us from enjoying our stay

I am forced to leave an overall summary of my family's stay at your property. This was not good.

When we got there we were greeted with piles of trash in the backyard. Everything was covered in sand and the door was unlocked. They dont want sand in the house according to the rules but give you nothing to clean with while there. I went out a bought a broom so we could clean. There was trash all along the side of the bunkbeds and ROACHES in the kitchen and one bedroom. The cabinets had almost no dishes or silverware and the outside patio was not like the one pictured. We had 8 women in the house and only had one bathroom because the toilet was leaking into the downstairs and they had small children so we didn't use it. They contacted management on the first day we were there and it took them 4 days to send someone out. We made the best out of the trip but i would never go to one of their homes again. Im having to leave everything outside my home till it can be washed because we don't want any bugs coming in

Proximity to the beach and general location were excellent. The Roku didn't function in the living room, nor did the cable box, nor did the bathroom fans, nor was there a TV in the second bedroom (balcony), and the dryer didn't work, and it took an hour to check in due to an incorrect door code, and we were surprised by a trio of individuals claiming to be the cleaning crew 36 hours after we arrived (needless to say we refused), but other than that the property was as advertised. I would be happy to stay here again. 4 of 5 stars overall.

It’s was ok. Short walk to beach. But you will need to bring you’re own sheets, pillow cases your own towels, wash,cloths,dish soap and blankets. Well extra blankets bc they didn’t have any on 2 of the beds

You get what you pay for
We rented this condo just as a place to spend a week with friends. It was not horrid, but it did have a few things that could have been fixed up. Just a few examples were that the fridge was missing a handle, the tv in the master bedroom does not work, and the parking was just extremely odd. Nothing so large that it would truly impact your stay. But, you should not plan to come here if your party is over 8, saying that it sleeps 12 means you do not have any room to even remotely move. But, for the price we didn’t expect anything grand, it was great for our group, and we had enjoyable neighbors below us.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This place is disgusting. Your cleaning fees definitely aren’t going to actual cleaning.. DO NOT rent this unit. Upon arrival, we left our shoes on the porch per instruction to not track sand in. When we walked in, there were dirty foot prints on the floor. After 5 minutes of walking around, the bottoms of our feet were BLACK. There was sand left in the bath tubs, the silverware and cooking utensils were dirty and had hair on them and our outside trash cans were completely full. Management didn’t seem to care about any of this and only offered me a reclean when they probably only asked knowing we would say no due to there being so many people in our unit and it would have just been a hassle. I say again, do NOT rent this unit. Run down and disgusting.

After looking at pics and reviews we decided to rent this property. Spoke with rental agent and she sent a handy man with a spray bottle of bleach thinking that's all that was needed. The house needs to be shut down due to the amount of Black mold that was present. She offered to send us to another property which was smaller and not in a location we wanted to be in. No Thank you. We have requested a refund but have not received any notification from the management company or owner. I will be posting all pictures of this disaster of a house. DO NOT BELIEVE any of the good reviews of Sand Castle up or the pics that are currently posted . I will be posting on Social media all the evidence you need to see . This place was just the right size and price for my family. We enjoyed the fact that it was walking distance to the beach, and also not more than a 10-15 minute drive from most attractions. We loved spending Christmas at the beach, and if I can figure out how to do it again, we would be coming back again soon

I really liked the property. I think it said it could sleep 12 - but I don't see how that is possible, really. But the two of us and the dog had a great time. The house has some maintenance issues but nothing substantive. I actually liked that it was, let's say cozy - because I didn't worry so much about hurting anything. It was close to the beach, which was great. We walked out on the beach at least once a day - often 2-3 times. In November the neighborhood was very quiet - not much traffic, pedestrian or vehicular. The kitchen is adequate. The couches were very comfortable and the tv and wifi were good. I slept like a log on the bed. There are 20 steps from the ground to the lodging - but we had no problem with them. The balcony (porch?) is really nice - we didn't use it much because of the weather but I could see where it would be a plus (note - you get to the balcony through one of the bedrooms). There seemed to be plenty of parking - we only had the one car, but there was more room. The yard was a little junky but we didn't go for the landscaping. We'd definitely consider going back to this place. It was just right for us.

We were in town for a few nights and were able to book last minute. Clean comfortable and pet friendly! Close to everything by car and able to walk to the beach a few blocks away.

Great place to stay, large back yard that my dog loved running around and playing fetch. I will definitely be back.

Great Location and Beautifully decorated
Me and my family had an amazing time at this unit, it was walking distance to the beach and very spacious for my family. I will be back.

Good overall experience
Everything was as expected per pictures and description of property. Queen bedroom does not have a tv but no real problem. Noticed all smoke alarms had been removed. Maybe something else was installed that was not noticed. King comforter needed washing.

okay, not great
basically okay, had basics of everything you need, and was clean, also was a quick walk to the beach.
Problems:
- walls need paint, stains.
- Refrigerator needs work, very loud all the time (can't hear the TV) and when the compressor shuts down it is extremely loud and wakes you up even when we were at the other end of the building.
Would not recommend to others mostly due to the refrigerator.

Fabulous place to visit!!!
Overall, our stay was excellent. There are NO BED BUGS like stated by a previous reviewer. The place was tidy but smaller than what it looked like on the pictures. Yet big enough for 6 people. Lisa was a great host. She made sure to let us know that the apartment was clean and we could check in at our arrival. At the end of our stay, she was gracious to follow-up with us and make sure we had a good time. Very close to the beach and bunch of attractions. Broadway by the beach, 710 bowling alley, and plenty of places to go for mini-golf. Also, the Tanger's outlet mall are near by as well as a bunch of 5-star restaurants. It was very difficult to keep the sand out the apartment. But I guess that's the case in any place you stay near the beach. Sand would be a part of your experience. That's why it's called the BEACH. We will definitely try to do this again soon!!

Nice house close to the beach!
Overall we had a great experience, and loved the location and proximity to the beach. The pictures of the house are slightly deceiving, and I don't think it's possible to sleep 12. 2 sleep sofas are across from each other, and don't plan on using them if you want to access the bedroom with the king size bed. It was even difficult to get into the back room if people were sitting on the couches watching tv...

Everything as expected
This house appears exactly how it seems with all the included amenities mentioned in the house. It was nice and clean, plenty of room, and one block from the beach and within 5 mins of Main street. My 9 friends and myself enjoyed our beach week trip and we were overall satisfied with everything.

Infested but fun
The bed has bed bugs. Bites all on my arms. But overall nice place with a great floor plan. I had a generally pleasant stay besides the sensation of the pus oozing out of my bed bug bites.

Very small house, don't believe the pictures
This was very disappointing in so many ways... first the lady who manages the property, accused me of lieing about the age of our group. When we finally got that straighten out by sending pictures of everyone's drivers licenses. She missed out on an opportunity to rent both upstairs and downstairs. This unit says it sleeps 12, only if 6 of the 12 are small children. The two sofa beds in the living room are opposite each other preventing them to both be open at the same time. So subtract 2 from there, also the sofa beds are uncomfortable. If she had been honest with us and told us that 12 adults would be better suited renting both upstairs and downstairs, we would have done so. But instead of going that route she sent us a rental invoice for twice the amount of the VRBO booking, which we had to get cleared up. Bathrooms are only accessible from the bedrooms. Also you will find a junky old trailer parked in the back with old mattresses stacked behind it. Also when we arrived I had to walk around the back area picking up trash. If only I could post pictures with this review, that show the appearance when we arrived. Very disappointed! In past review someone mentioned that the door handle came off in their hand, wasn't fixed when we arrived, also another person mentioned the fridge sounded like it was about to go out, it actually stopped working while we were there, when I called the property manager about the door handle she didn't even know it had been mentioned in a review. She doesn't read them apparently.

Nice space
We stayed for one week, 2 couples and 2 dogs. Lots of room to move and nice updates inside. A few cosmetic blemishes but nothing to bad. Wish there were more options for cookware but other than that very nice. All tile so it gets sandy fast but that's to be expected. Overall had a great vacation!

Great stay with my honey
The rental was great. The unit was 3 bd 2 ba and was very large and spacious. I would or definately recommend the rental to my family and friends. The location is great it’s only a short walk to Crescent Beach. The only thing that would have made it better was if the floors would have been cleaner . We take our shoes off when coming into a place. The entire rental had sand on the floors. Also the refrigerator sounds like it’s going out. We traveled with my husbands service dog and they are pet friendly which is a plus for us. We will definately rent this place again.
