My family and I enjoyed our stay. The location was central to both sides of the island. We didn’t spend time at the nearby beach but we did visit a nearby beach that was family-friendlier. We enjoyed walking to the nearby shopping center and the farmer’s market.

Location of unit was easy to get to many things on the island and close to shopping and restaurants. The unit itself was well furnished and decorated and fairly clean. They provided chairs, umbrella, cooler and sand toys which was a big plus!
Beyond that amenities for the building had issues. We had a delay in our arrival and tried to called after hours security upon check in, they do not pickup their phones. Trying to figure out how to pay for laundry was a nightmare and expensive and property management has no idea and provides the wrong information. Pool was dirty and full of bugs. I ended up developing a rash after staying on this property. Hot tub was not working.

We enjoyed our time in unit J8. It is well maintained with a cozy feel. There is a nice laundry room in the building also. The location is centrally located and made it easy to go north or south in a short amount of time. The only challenge was the “beach” across the road. It is not a nice beach at all. More like an impassable lava field preventing access to the ocean. Many homeless tents there also. Not a deal breaker, because of the numerous nice beaches near by. There is also a very nice shopping area within walking distance.

My wife and I chose to stay here for our "babymoon" and we were not disappointed with that decision. We wanted somewhere that felt like home to come back to after a long day of beach going, hiking, exploring, etc and this was exactly that. It's tough to decide what was the best part - the location or the place itself. The location was perfect for exploring the whole island - nothing is more than an hour away and for the most part everything we wanted was within a 20-40min drive. The ability to walk onto the beach was amazing as well - we took advantage of that every sunny morning we had to enjoy the sunrise. The place itself was well decorated and had everything we needed. Be sure to go to the room and look in all the cabinets before you go to the store - they likely have many things you think you may need. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was such a great location. It was walking distance from shopping, restaurants, and a beautiful beach. We were able to explore the island within a short drive. The house was adorable and very comfortable for the two of us! The bed was comfortable and there was lots of parking near the room!

This property is perfect for you if you’re looking for something affordable, stylish, and conveniently located. It is not the best choice for those wanting to be beachside on a picture perfect shore. We were traveling with the goal to hike and snorkel all over the island, so it wasn’t as big a deal where we stayed! We loved how cute the decor was and having a kitchen :)

This place was perfectly located about 1 block from the beach, the PLANTATION PLAZA and a market. It had access to all the amenities [hot tub, pool, beach, shops]. The inside was beautiful and well kept. Easy check in and check out. Only disconnect was changing some business between Property Management and the billing side [since we were forced to change our plans related to arrival date, due to torrential winds]

This was a great stay for us. The place is super cute (matches the pictures) and well-equipped. The bed is comfy and the A/C is a relief. I especially liked the guestbook with local recommendations. Definitely recommend!

This is a well maintained older property. It is not a beach resort, not convenient to the beach, but you can get there. The kitchen and bath are updated and nice. The unit is very clean and quiet. The king bed has a very comfortable memory foam mattress that I would give an A+. The sleeper sofa and chair are very uncomfortable. Plantation Hale is located next to the Coconut Marketplace which has lots of shopping etc. Long's Drug and Safeway are just down the street. It is a nice place to stay if you are not expecting the beach at your doorstep. It has several nice pools.

The condo was newly renovated and lovely, with lots of accommodations like beach chairs, towels, parasol, etc. While there is no view of the beach, beach access is just a short walk away--pro tip, grab a coffee and sticky bun at Imua and enjoy breakfast on the beach! The full kitchen was a great way to save funds for more adventures vs eating out the whole trip.

The wifi was excellent, thanks to some quick and incredibly attentive support from the property managers. It was an ideal setup for two remote workers. Outside of the work setup, the apartment is comfortable and the amenities are good. The kitchen is small if you're cooking most days, but it's well stocked. My boyfriend and I have been nomading while working remotely, and this was the perfect stay for our 2.5 month stint in Kauai. It was one of the few places we found that had two distinct places to work (a desk in the bedroom and the breakfast table in the living room). The sound didn't travel between the rooms, so if you have a party of two working remotely, you'll be just fine. While the property itself was very nice and what we expected, we were dismayed to find a fence between the property and the grassy field that leads to the beach. I am familiar with the area and was not expecting a fence made of 8 foot high plywood topped with about 3 feet of mesh screening above that. Whats more, behind the fence, it seems that a homeless camp has sprung up, i.e. tents, people coming and going through a hole in the fence, police routinely coming through. We were even treated to a man from the encampment showering in the outside shower on the corner of our unit, I had searched the area on google maps and the fence was not there on the most recent update in 2012. Our hotel concierge told us the fence went up 3 or 4 years ago. Because of the unsightliness of the fence and concern about safety with a homeless camp nearby, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others. It's a shame because the unit was very nice and well located.

Location, location, location Kapaa
Wonderful ground floor unit with all amenities needed for our great stay. Would have appreciated knowing about construction wall along the entire block across from the units...rather an eye sore. Enjoyed the convenience of walking to grocery and eateries as we did not have a car. Pools were nice, clean and not crowded. All in all a satisfying stay in paradise.
