Most disappointing VRBO we have stayed in. Stayed in fall of 2021, but hated to think about our experience so avoided writing this review. Owner asked us to delay our start date, which we did for convenience of prior tenant - only to have the owner charge US for the days we did not occupy for purpose of this delay. When I suggested this seemed unfair to me he ranted in a very long and unprofessional email about how tough he has it as a host. In addition, place is flat out run down. Ignore hot tub photo shown in picture and listed as an amenity - it does not work. Lovely area, but I would avoid this VRBO and especially this host.

Home needs a complete updating. Plumbing, carpet, furniture, linens.If all the mentioned updates were done, the house would be a show stopper. We relied on VRBO to know the condition of the property. Consequently, it was disappointing.

I was very disappointed with this property. Overall impression ~ the house has been neglected and is dirty. I was staying here after the sale of my home and looking for a place to relax for a few weeks after a stressful time. I was not comfortable in this home as it is in desperate need of some deep cleaning, updating and items that need to be fixed. There was a new floor down stairs which was nice but the rest of the home including the patio/backyard need some immediate attention. Location is great but that is it. I cannot recommend this property and I would not stay here again.

I was very disappointed with this property. Overall impression ~ the house has been neglected and is dirty. I was staying here after the sale of my home and looking for a place to relax for a few weeks after a stressful time. I was not comfortable in this home as it is in desperate need of some deep cleaning, updating and items that need to be fixed. There was a new floor down stairs which was nice but the rest of the home including the patio/backyard need some immediate attention. Location is great but that is it. I cannot recommend this property and I would not stay here again.

This home is located in one of the more upscale and convenient locations in northeast Mesa. Close to the Tonto national forest, the salt river for exceptional water sports and trails, including seeing the wild horses of Arizona. Close to great restaurants, 30 minutes to Scottsdale, multiple golf courses within a 30 minute drive. I lived in this neighborhood before we moved east. When I saw this house I was thrilled to rent it short term until we could occupy our new house. We were moving from VT to AZ. We had already logged 2700 miles. It was unfortunate that within 3 days of arriving the A/C quit in the middle of the hottest summer in Arizona. We have 2 dogs, our female Golden was pregnant. We could not stay in the house because the inside temperature was 90 degrees and rising. In Arizona if you rent your property no matter whether it be short or long term when the a/c goes out it’s an emergency situation. The owner did not respond in a timely matter and we had to relocate. This not only stressed us but, our dogs were stressed especially my pregnant female. I was afraid that she would lose her litter. We finally got a refund but it took a lot of negotiation. I love the location, but you’re probably going to have better luck staying there in the winter season. Also, it needs a thorough cleaning of carpets and tile. It does allow pets which is great but, I think cats and dogs have done their duty on the carpet. I’m a Realtor. I have rented my own properties on VRBO. I believe that an owner should respond quickly to house emergencies like heat, A/C, plumbing and electrical issues because these are safety issues. If someone doesn’t like the amenities or the location that’s one thing, an owner had no control over that but, must respond in a timely matter. They must also have a list of their own local contractors to respond to emergencies in a timely matter. There are state and local laws that govern long term and short term rentals. This owner, above all, should know the law. And, all that being said if you are looking for a convenient location in the valley you can be sure that this could be your place!

Red Mountain Ranch is a great location

Great spot
My family was looking for a safe place to stay while we waited for our new home to become available. This property was perfect for that. The owners were great to work with, as well.

This is a big home that will serve a large family or two couples well. Parking and the garage are an issue. The garage has a huge 3 seat golf cart in it that takes up 1/2 of the garage. I couldn't get my pickup in the garage and it was difficult to park in the drive due to limited space between the garage and the side walk. A car would not be a problem.

Perfect Home Away from Home
Great home in a great location. The owner was very responsive and awesome to work with. We highly recommend this home for anyone needing a home away from home. It's a wonderful place to stay.

House is located in the Red Mountain Ranch development. House is convenient to restaurants and highways. House has well equipped kitchen which made cooking easy. Bedrooms upstairs were spacious. Downstairs bedroom was set up to accomodate kids with twin beds and small sofa.
The outdoor area had a nice built-in grill with plenty of outdoor furniture. The backyard is adjacent to a golf course.
The owner sent an email prior to arrival with extensive information about the house and the development. The wifi signal was good in all parts of the house, even in the backyard

Enormous house in a quite area.
Stayed in the home for 3- weeks. Everything was great. Home has several areas that you can enjoy. Living room with Tv near the kitchen if you want to hang out as someone cooks. Kitchen is very well equipped anything you can think of. If you want a little quite other living room with 2- comfy couches. Outside area very nice to enjoy sun and have a cook out.
Upstairs has two- bedrooms one big master and another with nice size bed. You will find pillows, sheets and towels all around. The only downside was we didint have the clicker for the garage and had to constantly go inside open/close the garage.
Owner Wade very responsive and accurate with all directions to get into and out of the home. Would recommend to anyone.

Cozy accommodations
The house was very cozy. Definitely a home away from home. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. I was especially pleased to find condiments and food items in the pantry that were available for our use. I definitely would recommend this property to other travelers.
